Claims (17)
- 第一の分子量を有する少なくとも1種のポリマー成分と、第一の分子量より小さい第二の分子量を有する少なくとも1種の第二のポリマー成分とのブレンドを含むマルチモーダル形状記憶ポリマー材料を含む物品であって、
− 前記第一の分子量が30,000ダルトンより大きいM n を有し、前記第二の分子量が30,000ダルトン以下のM n を有し;
− 前記少なくとも1種のポリマー成分が、2〜4の範囲の多分散度の分子量分布を有し;
− 前記少なくとも1種のポリマー成分と前記第二のポリマー成分とが混和性であり;
− 前記第二のポリマー成分が、前記ブレンドの流動性の増加をもたらす量であって、前記ポリマーブレンドの20重量%以下の量で前記ブレンド中に存在し;かつ、
− 前記物品を骨に埋め込み、この物品にエネルギーを供給し、前記ポリマー材料のガラス転移温度(Tg)より高い温度であるがその融解温度より低い温度に加熱すると、前記材料が骨の細孔に流入し、これによって前記物品と骨との固定が強化される、物品。 - 前記材料がバイモーダルである、請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記第一の分子量(Mn)が50,000〜1,000,000ダルトンであり、前記第二の分子量(Mn)が2,000〜30,000ダルトンである、請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記少なくとも1種のポリマー成分が、前記ポリマーブレンドの80重量%を構成し、前記第二のポリマー成分が、前記ポリマーブレンドの20重量%を構成する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の物品。
- ロッド、ピン、釘、ネジ、プレート、アンカー、およびウエッジからなる群から選択される、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の材料を含む物品。
- 前記少なくとも1種のポリマー成分および前記第二のポリマー成分が、いずれも再吸収可能である、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の物品。
- 前記少なくとも1種のポリマー成分および前記第二のポリマー成分が、いずれも再吸収可能ではない、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の物品。
- 前記少なくとも1種のポリマー成分および前記第二のポリマー成分のうちの1つが、再吸収可能であり、前記少なくとも1種のポリマー成分および前記第二のポリマー成分のうちの1つが、再吸収可能ではない、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の物品。
- 前記材料が、ヒドロキシアパタイト、炭酸カルシウム、およびリン酸三カルシウムからなる群から選択されるフィラーを含む、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の物品。
- 前記材料が、塩化ナトリウム、臭化リチウム、ヨウ化リチウム、塩化カルシウム、ヨウ化ナトリウム、硫酸マグネシウム、および硫酸カルシウムから実質的になる群から選択されるポロゲン(porogen)を含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の物品。
- 前記少なくとも1種のポリマー成分および前記前記第二のポリマー成分のうちの1つまたは両方が、ポリ(L)乳酸(P(L)LA)、ポリ(D)乳酸(P(D)LA)、ポリ(DL)乳酸(P(DL)LA)、ポリ(L-co-DL)乳酸(P(LDL)LA)、ポリ(L)乳酸-co-グリコリド(P(L)LGA)、ポリ(DL)乳酸-co-グリコリド(P(DL)LGA)、ポリ(D)乳酸-co-グリコリド(P(D)LGA)、ポリカプロラクトン(PCL)、PGA、およびこれらの組合せを含む群から選択されるポリエステルを含む、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の物品。

- 前記少なくとも1種のポリマー成分および前記第二のポリマー成分のうちの1つまたは両方が、ポリブチルメタクリレート-co-ポリメチルメタクリレートコポリマーを含む、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の物品。
- 前記少なくとも1種のポリマー成分および前記第二のポリマー成分のうちの1つまたは両方が、ポリスチレンコポリマーを含む、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の物品。
- 骨への埋め込みに適した固定デバイスとしての請求項1〜16のいずれか一項に記載の物品の使用。
