芳香族ビニルモノマーから製造された少なくとも2種の硬質ブロックS1およびS2と、
芳香族ビニルモノマーとジエンから製造された少なくとも1種のランダム軟質ブロックB/Sとを含み、
軟質ブロックB/S中の1,2−ビニル含量が20%未満であり、
硬質ブロックの比率が、全ブロック共重合体に対して51質量%から74質量%であり、
ジエンから成る単独重合体ブロックBを含まず、
S1のモル質量が5000から30000g/モルであり、
S2のモル質量が35000g/モルを上回り、
直線構造S1−(B/S)1−(B/S)2−S2から成り、
芳香族ビニルモノマーのジエンに対するモル比S/Bがブロック(B/S)1中で0.32以下であり、ブロック(B/S)2中で0.5から2である、
ブロック共重合体により達成されることを見出した。
メルトボリュームレートMVR(200℃/5kg)は、ISO1133により測定された。
構造S1−(B/S)1−(B/S)2−S2の線状スチレン−ブタジエンブロック共重合体は、溶媒としてシクロヘキサンを用い、温度60から90℃で、スチレンおよびブタジエンの逐次アニオン重合により得られた。このために、598Lのシクロヘキサンおよび1235Lの1.5Mのsec−ブチルリチウム溶液(n−ヘキサン/シクロヘキサン)を最初に1500L攪拌反応器に入れ、ブロックS1を製造するために必要なスチレンの量を計量導入した。すべてのスチレンが消費された後に、カリウムテトラヒドロリナロアートをランダマイザーとして加え、ブロック(B/S)1および(B/S)2を表1に示されたスチレンとブタジエンからなる混合物を添加することによって付加した。最後に、スチレンブロックS2を重合させ、イソプロパノールを用いて停止した。ブロック共重合体は、120000g/モルのモル質量Mnを持つ。開始剤/ランダマイザー(Li/K)のモル比と、全体の重合体に対しての各々のブロック中のスチレンとブタジエンの比率は表1に示されている。実施例1から4では、全部で156kgのスチレンと44kgのブタジエンを使用し、実施例5では、152kgのスチレンと48kgのブタジエンを使用した。
構造IとIIの星型スチレン−ブタジエンブロック共重合体を、60から90℃で、溶媒としてシクロヘキサンを用いてスチレンとブタジエンの逐次アニオン重合を行い、ついでエポキシ化亜麻仁油(Edenol B 316 ヘンケル製)をカップリングさせて得た。
実施例1から5と同様の方法で、S1−(B/S)1−(B/S)2−S2の構造の線状スチレン−ブタジエンブロック共重合体を、スチレンとブタジエンの逐次アニオン重合より製造した。カリウムテトラヒドロリナロラートの替わりにカリウムtert−アミラート(PTA)をランダマイザーとして使用した。リチウム/カリウムのモル比は38:1であった。
211ml(192g)のスチレン
10.4mlのsec−ブチルリチウム(1.4Mシクロヘキサン/n−ヘキサン90/10溶液)
カリウムtert−アミラート(PTA)1.07ml(0.338Mシクロヘキサン溶液)
335ml(219g)のブタジエンおよび146ml(133g)のスチレンの同時の添加
276ml(181g)のブタジエンおよび276ml(251g)のスチレンの同時の添加
686ml(624g)のスチレンの添加
0.968mlのPTA(Li/K=42:1)がランダマイザーとして使用された他は、実施例9が繰り返された。
3.62mlのカリウムテトラヒドロリナロアート0.1Mシクロヘキサン溶液がランダマイザーとして使用された他は、実施例9が繰り返された。
参考例12から19のブロック共重合体のそれぞれを、標準的なポリスチレン(PS 158K、BASF製)と、重量比30/70(ブロック共重合体/PS)で混合した。
Claims (8)
- 芳香族ビニルモノマーから製造された少なくとも2種の硬質ブロックS1およびS2と、
芳香族ビニルモノマーとジエンから製造された少なくとも1種のランダム軟質ブロックB/Sとを含み、
軟質ブロックB/S中の1,2−ビニル含量が20%未満であり、
硬質ブロックの比率が、全ブロック共重合体に対して51質量%から74質量%であり、
ジエンから成る単独重合体ブロックBを含まず、
S1のモル質量が5000から30000g/モルであり、
S2のモル質量が35000g/モルを上回り、
直線構造S1−(B/S)1−(B/S)2−S2から成り、
芳香族ビニルモノマーのジエンに対するモル比S/Bがブロック(B/S)1中で0.32以下であり、ブロック(B/S)2中で0.5から2である、
ブロック共重合体。 - 硬質ブロックS1およびS2の間に芳香族ビニルモノマーの相対的比率が異なる少なくとも2種のランダム軟質ブロック(B/S)1と(B/S)2が存在する、請求項1に記載のブロック共重合体。
- 軟質ブロックB/S中の1,2−ビニル含量が10から20%の範囲にある、請求項1又は2に記載のブロック共重合体。
- 請求項1に記載されたブロック共重合体と、他のスチレン重合体から製造された重合体混合物。
- 逐次アニオン重合により、ブロック共重合体を形成させ、且つ少なくとも軟質ブロック(B/S)の重合を、カリウム塩の存在下で行うことを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のブロック共重合体の製造方法。
- アニオン重合開始剤のカリウム塩に対するモル比が、10:1から100:1である、請求項3に記載のブロック共重合体の製造方法。
- 使用するカリウム塩が少なくとも5個の炭素原子を有する3級アルコールのカリウムアルコラートを含む、請求項5または6に記載のブロック共重合体の製造方法。
- 使用するカリウム塩が、カリウム2−メチルブタノラート、カリウム2,2−ジメチル−1−プロパノラート、カリウム2,3−ジメチル−3−ペンタノラート、カリウム3,7−ジメチル−3−オクタノラートまたはカリウム3−エチル−3−ペンタノラートを含む、請求項5から7のいずれかに記載のブロック共重合体の製造方法。
