- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.(a) (i)フリーラジカル(共)重合性ビニルモノマーと、 (ii)任意の連鎖移動剤と、 (iii)任意の架橋剤と、 (iv)少なくとも1種のフリーラジカル熱開始剤と、 (v)任意に、重合したフリーラジカル重合性モノマーを含むポリマ ーと、を含む混合物をバッチ反応器内に提供するステップと、 (b)該混合物を脱酸素するステップであって、ステップ(b)はステップ(c)と 任意に少なくとも一部分が重なることができるステップと、 (c)重合を開始するために十分な開始剤のフリーラジカルを少なくとも1種 のフリーラジカル熱開始剤から生じるのに十分な温度に、該混合物を加熱するス テップと、 (d)該混合物を本質的な断熱条件下で重合させて少なくとも一部分が重合し た混合物を生じるステップと、 (e)任意に、該混合物を加熱して、開始剤のフリーラジカルを生じていない 開始剤の一部または全てからフリーラジカルを生じさせ、引き続いて該混合物を 本質的な断熱条件下で重合させて、さらに重合した混合物を生じるステップと、 (f)任意にステップ(e)を1回以上繰り返すステップと、を含むビニルモノマ ーをフリーラジカル重合させる方法。 2.(a) (i)フリーラジカル(共)重合性のビニルモノマーと、 (ii)任意の連鎖移動剤と、 (iii)任意の架橋剤と、 (iv)少なくとも1種のフリーラジカル熱開始剤と、 (v)任意に、重合したフリーラジカル重合性モノマーを含むポリマ ーと、を含む混合物をバッチ反応器内に提供するステップと、 (b)該混合物がまだ脱酸素されていない場合に該混合物を脱酸素するステッ プであって、ステップ(b)はステップ(c)と任意に少なくとも一部分が重なること ができるステップと、 (c)重合を開始するために十分な開始剤のフリーラジカルを少なくとも1種 のフリーラジカル熱開始剤から生じるのに十分な温度に、該混合物を加熱するス テップと、 (d)該混合物を本質的な断熱条件下で重合させて少なくとも一部分が重合し た混合物を生じさせるステップと、 (e)任意に、該混合物を加熱して、開始剤のフリーラジカルを生じていない 俳#:開始剤の一部または全てからフリーラジカルを生じさせ、引き続いて該混 合物を本質的な断熱条件下で重合させて、さらに重合した混合物を生じるステッ プと、 (f)任意にステップ (e)を1回以上繰り返すステップと、 (g)任意に該混合物を冷却するステップと、 (h)バッチ反応器内の混合物に、ステップ(a)の開始剤と同一または異なって いてもよいステップ(h)の少なくとも1種のフリーラジカル熱開始剤と、任意に フリーラジカル重合性のモノマーと、任意に架橋剤と、任意に連鎖移動剤と、任 意に、重合したフリーラジカル重合性モノマーを含むポリマーと、を添加するス テップにおいて、該混合物の温度が、ステップ(h)において添加された開始剤か ら開始剤のフリーラジカルを生ずる温度より低くてもよいステップと、 (i)該混合物がまだ脱酸素されていない場合に該混合物を脱酸素するステッ プと、 (j)任意に、該混合物の温度が、ステップ(h)の開始剤から開始剤のフリーラ ジカルを生ずる温度より低い場合には該混合物を加熱して開始剤のフリーラジカ ルを少なくとも1種の開始剤から生じさせ、該混合物をさらに重合させるステッ プと、 (k)該混合物を本質的な断熱条件下でさらに重合させてさらに重合した混合 物を生じさせるステップと、 (1)任意に、該混合物を加熱して、始剤のフリーラジカルを生じていない開始 剤の一部または全てからフリーラジカルを生じさせ、引き続いて該混合物を本質 的な断熱条件下で重合させて、さらに重合した混合物を生じるステップと、 (m)任意にステップ(l)を1回以上繰り返すステップと、 (n)任意にステップ(g)から(m)までを1回以上繰り返すステップと、を含む ビニルモノマーをフリーラジカル重合させる方法。 3.前記フリーラジカル重合性モノマーが、イソオクチルアクリレート、イソ ノニルアクリレート、2-エチルヘキシルアクリレート、デシルアクリレート、 ドデシルアクリレート、n-ブチルアクリレート、ヘキシルアクリレート、オク タデシルアクリレート、メチルアクリレート、エチルアクリレート、ブチルアク リレート、メチルメタクリレート、N-ブチルメタクリレート、N−ビニルピロ リドン、N、N-ジメチルアクリルアミド、アクリル酸およびそれらの混合物から なる群から選択される請求項1または2に記載の方法。 4.前記開始剤が、有機過酸化物、有機ヒドロペルオキシド、アゾ基開始剤お よびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される請求項1または2に記載の方法。 5.二種以上の開始剤が、ステップ(a)の混合物中に存在する 請求項1または2に記載の方法。 6.1〜5種の異なった開始剤がステップ(a)の混合物中に存在し、1〜5 種の異なった開始剤がステップ(h)に存在し、1〜5種の異なった開始剤が、 ステップ(n)が含まれる時にステップ(g)からステップ(m)までの各繰り 返しに存在する請求項2に記載の方法。 7.二種以上の開始剤が前記混合物に含まれると共に、半減期が1時間になる各 々の開始剤iの温度が最も低いものから最も高いものまでの順に配列されたn種 の開始剤の系列中の少なくとも1種の開始剤iについて、時間に対する開始剤i の濃度の一次導関数の負値 が、反応温度が本質的な断熱重合のために上昇するにつれて、その最大値の約1 0%に減少するとき、前記系列中の次の開始剤の始剤の数であり、tは時間である)請求項1または2に記載の方法。 8.二種以上の開始剤が用いられると共に、n種の開始剤の系列中の少なくと も1種の開始剤iについて、時間に対する開始剤iの濃 およびi=1,...,n]が、反応温度が本質的な断熱重合のために上昇するにつれて その最大値の約30%に達するとき、半減期が1時間になる各々の開始剤iの温 度が最も低いものから最も高いものまでの順に配列された開始剤の前記系列中の 先行する開始剤が既にそ 時間である)請求項1または2に記載の方法。 9.請求項1または2に記載の方法に従って調製される感圧粘着剤。 10.重合が断熱条件下で行われる請求項1または2に記載の方法。
