PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA OBTENCION DE 5H-2,3-BENZODIAZEPINAS Y DE SUS SALES DE ADICION DE ACIDO FISIOLOGICAMENTE COMPATIBLES, DE FORMULA (I), EN LA QUE R2 REPRESENTA HIDROGENO O ALQUILO C1-4; R3 Y R4 SON ALQUILO C1-4 O COMBINADOS FORMAN METILENO; Y R Y R1 PUEDEN SER VARIOS TIPOS DE RADICALES. CONSISTE EN LA REACCION DE REDUCCION DE UN COMPUESTO DE FORMULA (II), EN LA QUE TODOS LOS SIMBOLOS TIENEN EL MISMO SIGNIFICADO QUE EN LA FORMULA (I). LA REDUCCION SE LLEVA A CABO MEDIANTE HIDROGENACION CATALITICA EN UN DISOLVENTE ORGANICO INERTE O CON HIDRAZINA O CON HIDRATO DE HIDRAZINA, EN PRESENCIA DE UN CATALIZADOR TAL COMO PALADIO, PLATINO O NIQUEL RANEY, A UNA TEMPERATURA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE LA AMBIENTE Y LA DE EBULLICION DEL DISOLVENTE.
