Abstract

Un método para limpiar un sustrato sucio, comprendiendo dicho método el tratamiento del sustrato humedecido con una formulación que comprende una multiplicidad de particular poliméricas, donde dichas partículas poliméricas se aplican en combinación con una formulación detergente, caracterizado por que dicha formulación de detergente se divide en sus constituyentes químicos separados y dichos constituyentes químicos se añaden en diferentes momentos durante el ciclo de lavado donde las partes limpiadoras de la formulación se añaden antes o durante el ciclo principal de lavado y el resto de partes de la formulación se añaden como un post-tratamiento después de la eliminación de las partículas poliméricas del proceso de lavado.

Los ciclos de Xeros Plus Multi Dosis y de Xeros Plus Única Dosis funcionaron a temperaturas equivalentes de lavado de 28 ºC. Cuando se usó el ciclo de Xeros Plus Multi Dosis, estuvo disponible la facilidad para calentar el componente oxidante y su activador por separado del lavado principal en un tanque mezclador a 60 ºC, y esta técnica se utilizó con el fin de permitir que el componente se vuelva más químicamente activo antes de la adición. Como se ha observado previamente, en cambio, la temperatura de lavado durante este ciclo solamente alcanzó 28 ºC ya que, aunque se añadió una pequeña cantidad de agua a 60 ºC, la temperatura ambiente de los otros
55 componentes de lavado se mantuvieron a la temperatura general en el nivel más bajo. Debería señalarse que se añadió la misma cantidad de agua a 60 ºC en la misma fase durante el ciclo de lavado del ciclo Xeros Plus Única Dosis, pero sin ningún componente oxidante o activador, habiéndose ya añadido al inicio del lavado principal, como se muestra en la Tabla 1. El fin de esta agua adicional calentada en el ciclo de Xeros Plus Única Dosis fue, por lo tanto, asegurar un perfil idéntico de temperatura a lo largo del proceso de lavado al aplicado en el caso de Xeros Plus Multi Dosis, hasta la misma temperatura de lavado final de 28 ºC. Por ello, la única diferencia entre estos dos ciclos fue los medios de la adición de detergente (esto es, múltiples dosis de componentes a lo largo del ciclo, contra una única dosis de todos los componentes al inicio del lavado principal). Los tiempos totales de ciclo de ambos ciclos, incluyendo el lavado, la separación de gotas y enjuague, fueron idénticos en 90 minutos. Se usó un programa de tres enjuagues para ambos procedimientos, añadiéndose el abrillantador óptico y el perfume en el enjuague final
65 para el ciclo Xeros Plus Multi Dosis, como se muestra en la Tabla 1.

El nivel de limpieza se evaluó usando medición de color. Los valores de reflectancia de monitores de manchas WFC se midieron usando un espectrofotómetro Datacolor Spectraflash SF600 conectado a un ordenador personal, empleando un observador estándar de 10º bajo iluminante D65, con el componente UV incluido y el componente especular excluido, se usó una apertura de visión de 3 cm. Se tomó una coordenada de color CIE L * para cada mancha en el monitores de manchas, y después se hizo la media de estos valores para cada tipo de mancha. Debería señalarse que los valores L * más altos son indicativos de una limpieza mejor. Los resultados se exponen en la Tabla 2.

Como puede verse en la Tabla 2, el ciclo de Xeros Plus Multi Dosis proporcionó una limpieza abrumadoramente superior al ciclo Xeros Plus Única Dosis. De los trece tipos de mancha analizadas, diez mostraron 65 una limpieza superior con Xeros Plus Multi Dosis, en un caso se observó igualdad en la limpieza con ambos casos,
mientras que solamente dos demostraron una limpieza superior con Xeros Plus Única Dosis.
