Definitions
- the present invention relates to an airbag apparatus including a cushion that inflates and deploys to protect an occupant when an impact occurs on a vehicle due to a collision accident or the like.
- side collision When the vehicle collides from the side (hereinafter referred to as “side collision”) or from the front (hereinafter referred to as “normal collision”), the occupant is in a collision direction relative to the vehicle due to inertia. Try to move (side or front).
- an air bag is provided at the center of the steering wheel in the case of the driver's seat and at the front of the vehicle such as the upper portion of the instrument panel in the case of the passenger seat. It is attached.
- a curtain airbag device is installed on the side of the vehicle, and a side airbag is installed inside the seat.
- far side the occupant may move greatly toward the center in the vehicle width direction (far side) due to inertia at the time of the far-side collision, and may collide with an occupant in the adjacent seat or a hard interior part in the vehicle interior.
- the occupant may move toward (obliquely forward) between the airbag attached to the front portion of the vehicle and the curtain airbag attached to the side portion of the vehicle.
- the occupant may slip through between the airbag attached to the front portion of the vehicle and the curtain airbag attached to the side portion of the vehicle.
- the occupant may collide with interior parts in the vehicle.
- some models do not have a center console.
- the passenger compartment floor between the driver's seat and the passenger seat is often a passage through which passengers can walk.
- the center console does not exist, the far-side airbag device cannot be provided, and the occupant's waist cannot be restrained by the center console.
- the amount of movement of the occupant's waist to the far side during a collision is greater than in a vehicle having a center console.
- the occupant may collide with an interior part in the vehicle, or may collide with an occupant in the adjacent seat.
- an object of the present invention is to provide an airbag device capable of protecting an occupant by restraining the occupant from moving obliquely forward and moving to a far side at the time of a collision. .
- a representative configuration of an airbag device includes at least a waist portion of an occupant seated on a seat provided on a floor of a passenger compartment or embedded in the floor and inflated and deployed. It includes a cushion that reaches an equal height.

図1において、車両は、例えばSUV(Sport Utlity Vehicle)等である。
