例えば、油が付着した金属表面に明瞭な像を形成でき、前記像は容易に剥離することがないため、製造工程における識別性を満足させることができる利便性、実用性に富む油付着金属面用マーキングインク組成物を提供するために、着色剤と、樹脂と、アルコール類、グリコールエーテル類、エステル類から選ばれる1種又は2種以上の溶剤とから少なくともなるインク組成物であって、前記インク組成物10重量部と鉱油を主成分とする油脂1重量部からなる乾燥皮膜の鉛筆硬度が2B以上の硬度を有する油付着金属面用マーキングインク組成物(例えば、特許文献1、2参照)が知られている。
また、特許文献4は、アルミニウムペーストに含まれるミネラルスピリットによりピンホール発生防止のためアセチレンアルコール誘導体を添加したものであり、特許文献5及び6は、エチレンオキサイド付加体であるアセチレンアルコール類等を水性ボールペン用インクに添加してボールの濡れ性を良くするものであり、これらの文献4~6と本願発明とは発明の課題、目的、技術思想(構成及びその作用効果)が相違するものである。
また、隠蔽力を発現させる材料の沈降がなく、更に、筆記直後と筆跡乾燥後の隠蔽力の差を少なくし、筆記直後と筆跡乾燥後の両方の状態において、筆跡が隠蔽力を発現する筆記具用水性インク組成物を提供するために、少なくとも水と樹脂粒子を配合し隠蔽力を有する筆記具用水性インク組成物において、樹脂粒子として、屈折率が1.49~1.60、平均粒径が800nm~2000nmの第1の樹脂粒子と、屈折率が1.49~1.60、平均粒径が300nm~700nmの第2の樹脂粒子を併用したことを特徴とする筆記具用水性インク組成物(例えば、特許文献9参照)が知られている。
また、上記水に可溶で疎水部を持つ樹脂の作用を促進するために特定成分を更に添加すると、上記の非吸収面上の油汚れを引き剥がす作用の補助、促進の外、インク組成物の表面張力調整の役割も果たすことを見い出したのである。これは上記特許文献5の記載から、高粘度となることも予想されるアセチレンアルコール類やアセチレングリコール類等を添加しても、(意外なことに)顕著な粘度上昇を起こすことなく配合することができることが判明した。
そして、工業用マーカーとして、高い隠蔽性が求められるために顔料分を多く含む組成物においても、このような組成であれば、全体的に低粘度に抑えられ、サラサラと描くことができ、「はじき」も見られず、高い固着性が得られることを見い出すと共に、また、酸化チタンとは比重の異なる特定の隠蔽剤を併用することにより、インク流出性が良好で、経時において隠蔽剤がたとえ沈降しても簡単な攪拌操作により再分散が容易で、更に隠蔽性、安定性に優れることを見い出し、本発明を完成したのである。
(1) 水に可溶でその分子内に疎水部を持つ樹脂1~20質量%と、酸化チタン5~30質量%を少なくとも含む着色剤と、アセチレングリコール類、アセチレンアルコール類又はこれらの誘導体から選ばれる少なくとも1種0.05~2質量%と、25℃における蒸気圧が5mmHg以下の水溶性溶剤1~20質量%と、水とを少なくとも含有することを特徴とする水性マーキングインク組成物。
(2) 前記酸化チタンの外、前記酸化チタンとは比重の異なる第2の隠蔽剤を更に含み、該第2の隠蔽剤がガラス粒子、金属粒子、樹脂粒子、中空樹脂粒子、炭酸カルシウム粒子、窒化硼素粒子、ワックス粒子、および、これらの複合粒子、あるいは、これらの粒子の分散体であり、該第2の隠蔽剤の粒子径が40nm~50000nmであって、かつ、該第2の隠蔽剤の含有量が固形分で2~20質量%であることを特徴とする上記(1)に記載の水性マーキングインク組成物。

(5) アセチレングリコール類、アセチレンアルコール類又はこれらの誘導体から選ばれる少なくとも1種が下記一般式(I)~(IV)で示されるものであることを特徴とする上記(1)~(4)の何れか一つに記載の水性マーキングインク組成物。
(7) 攪拌部材を有するバルブ式の筆記具に充填されることを特徴とする上記(1)~(6)の何れか一つに記載の水性マーキングインク組成物。
また、酸化チタンとは比重の異なる請求項2記載の第2の隠蔽剤を併用することにより、更に、インク流出性が良好で、経時において隠蔽剤がたとえ沈降しても簡単な攪拌操作により再分散が容易で、更に隠蔽性、安定性に優れる水性マーキングインク組成物が提供される。
本発明の水性マーキングインク組成物は、水に可溶でその分子内に疎水部を持つ樹脂1~20質量%と、酸化チタン5~30質量%を少なくとも含む着色剤と、アセチレングリコール類、アセチレンアルコール類又はこれらの誘導体から選ばれる少なくとも1種0.05~2質量%と、25℃における蒸気圧が5mmHg以下の水溶性溶剤1~20質量%と、水とを少なくとも含有することを特徴とするものである。
用いることができる水に可溶でその分子内に疎水部を持つ樹脂としては、水溶性アクリル酸樹脂、水溶性マレイン酸樹脂、水溶性スチレン樹脂、水溶性スチレン-アクリル樹脂、水溶性スチレン-マレイン酸樹脂、ポリビニルピロリドン、ポリビニルアルコ-ル、水溶性エステル-アクリル樹脂、エチレン-マレイン酸共重合体、ポリエチレンオキサイド、水溶性ウレタン樹脂等が挙げられる。また、樹脂エマルジョンとしては、例えば、アクリル系エマルジョン、酢酸ビニル系エマルジョン、ウレタン系エマルジョン、スチレン-ブタジエンエマルジョン、スチレンアクリロニトリルエマルジョンなどが挙げられる。油溶性シリコーンで構成されているエマルジョンとしては、ジメチルシリコーン、モノメチルシリコーン、フェニルメチルシリコーン、アルキル変性シリコーン、アミノ変性シリコーンから選択された少なくとも一種を含むエマルジョンが挙げられる。これらの樹脂は、各単独で又は2種以上を混合して用いることができる。
市販品ではアクリル酸樹脂としてJONCRYL 6102B水溶液、JONCRYL 6102B水溶液、スチレンアクリル樹脂としてJONCRYL 62J水溶液、JONCRYL J678水溶液、スチレンアクリル樹脂エマルジョンとしてJONCRYL 711エマルジョン(以上、BASF社製)、スチレンマレイン酸樹脂としてSMA1440水溶液(川原油化社製)、ウレタン樹脂としてハイドラン WLA-404水溶液(大日本インク工業社製)、ウレタン樹脂エマルジョンとしてユーコート UX-150エマルジョン(三洋化成工業社製)、WBR-016U(大成ファインケミカル社製)、ウレタン樹脂ユリアーノ樹脂としてW321エマルジョン(荒川化学社製)、シリコーン樹脂としてシリコリース 902エマルジョン(荒川化学社製)、アクリルシリコーン3DR-057水溶液(大成ファインケミカル社製)、シリコーンエマルジョンとして、例えば、東レダウコーニングシリコーン社製、商品名SH7036、同SH8710、同SH8701、同SH8705、同SH8722、同SH8707を挙げることができる。
好ましくは、酸化チタン等の顔料分散の点から水溶液タイプを用いることが望ましいが、一方、粘度調整、固着力アップの点からはエマルジョンタイプのものを用いることが望ましく、更に好ましくは、これらの併用型が望ましい。
これらの樹脂の含有量が1%未満では、顔料の分散と非吸収面への固着両方を満足させることが難しく、一方、20%を超えると、高粘度となって追随性が悪くなる。
また、これらの樹脂のうち、エマルジョン樹脂を単独又は併用する場合には、その含有量(固形分量)は上記範囲とするものであるが、非吸収面に対する固着安定化(不安定化による剥離・消去の抑制)、インク組成物の安定化(ゲル化抑制)の点から、特に好ましくは、1~10%とすることが望ましい。
これらの酸化チタンの含有量が5%未満であると、非吸収面への隠蔽性が弱く、目的の効果を発揮することができず、一方、30%を越えると、高粘度となるため、追随性が悪くなる。
特に、更なる隠蔽力および分散安定性の点から、中空樹脂粒子の使用が好ましい。
また、これらの第2の隠蔽剤は、隠蔽力および沈降スピードの点から、その粒子径が40nm~50000nm、更に好ましくは、100nm~2000nmのものが望ましい。
上記第2の隠蔽剤は、酸化チタンに較べ比重が小さく、併用する場合は更なる隠蔽力および再分散性が良好となるものである。
この第2の隠蔽剤を用いる場合の含有量は、更なる隠蔽力および再分散性の点から、インク組成物全量に対して、固形分で2~20%(酸化チタンとの併用で固形分合計で7~50%)、好ましくは、2~10%(固形分合計で7~35%)とすることが望ましい。
また、酸性染料、反応染料、塩基性染料、分散性染料、直接染料、蛍光染料、C.I.ベーシック イエロー35、C.I.ベーシック イエロー 40、C.I.アシッド オレンジ 28、C.I.アシッド ブルー92などの染料の他、その他樹脂や界面活性剤などで表面改質した加工顔料、分散トナー、アクリル系樹脂やベンゾグアナミン樹脂などを顔料や染料で着色して微粒子化した着色剤なども用いることができる。
これらの着色剤は、単独で又は二種以上組み合わせて用いることができる。
用いることができるアセチレンアルコール類、アセチレングリコール類又はこれらの誘導体としては、例えば、下記式(I)で示されるアセチレンアルコール類、下記式(II)で示されるアセチレングリコール類、下記式(III)で示されるアセチレングリコール類のエチレンオキサイド(EO)を付加した誘導体(付加物)、下記式(III)で示されるアセチレングリコール類のエチレンオキサイド(EO)を付加した誘導体(付加物)、下記式(IV)で示されるアセチレングリコール類のエチレンオキサイド(EO)、プロピレンオキサイド(PO)を付加した誘導体(付加物)などを挙げることができる。
市販品では、サーフィノール485〔2,4,7,9-テトラメチル-5-デシン-4,7-ジオール(市販品サーフィノール104)のEO(85)付加物〕、サーフィノールPSA-336〔2,4,7,9-テトラメチル-5-デシン-4,7-ジオールのポリエトキシレート〕、サーフィノール2502〔2,4,7,9-テトラメチル-5-デシン-4,7-ジオールのEO(5モル)+PO(2モル)付加物、サーフィノール82〔アセチレンジオール〕や、オルフィンE1010〔2,4,7,9-テトラメチル-5-デシン-4,7-ジオールのEO(10モル)付加物〕、オルフィンWE-003〔アセチレンジオールの配合物〕、オルフィンEXP.4200〔アセチレンジオールの配合物〕などを挙げることができる。
更に、上記式(III)で示されるアセチレングリコール類のプロピレンオキサイド(PO)を付加した誘導体(付加物)を付加した誘導体(付加物)なども用いることができる。
好ましくは、水への溶解度の点から(EO)、(PO)を付加した誘導体、アセチレンジオールの配合物等を用いることが望ましい。
この樹脂の含有量が0.05%未満であると、上記水に可溶で疎水部を持つ樹脂の作用を更に補助、促進する作用が弱く、金属面などの非吸収面上の油汚れを引き剥がす作用、インク組成物の表面張力調整が不十分となり、本発明の効果を発揮することができず、一方、5%を越えると、インク安定性が悪くなり、好ましくない。
用いることができる上記特性の水溶性溶剤としては、例えば、2-メチル-1-ブタノール、3-メチル-2-ブタノール、ベンジルアルコール、シクロヘキソノールなどのアルコール類、プロピレングリコール、エチレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、トリメチレングリコール、1,2-ブタンジオール、1,3-ブタンジオール、テトラメチレングリコール、2,3-ブタンジオール、ペンタメチレングリコール、2-ブテン-1,4-ジオール、ヘキシレングリコール、オクチレングリコール、グリセリン、ヘキサグリセロール、1,2,6-ヘキサントリオールなどのグリコール類、ブチルセロソルブ、イソアミルセロソルブ、ヘキシルセロソルブ、フェニルセロソルブ、フルフリルアルコール、テトラヒドロフルフリルアルコール、メチルカルビトール、エチルカルビトール、ブチルカルビトール、トリエチレングリコール、トリエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、テトラエチレングリコール、ポリエチレングリコール、ジプロピレングリコール、ジプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、ジプロピレングリコールモノエチルエーテル、ポリプロピレングリコール、ジアセトンアルコール、メチルセロソルブアセテート、エチルセロソルブアセテート、カルビトールアセテート、ブチルカルビトールアセテートなどのアルコールエーテル類などを挙げることができる。これらは、単独で又は二種以上組み合わせて用いることができる。
好ましくは、水への溶解性の点からグリコール類もしくはアルコールエーテル類を用いることが望ましい。
この水溶性溶剤の含有量が1%未満であると、金属面などの非吸収面上の油汚れを引き剥がす作用、インク組成物の表面張力調整が不十分となり、本発明の効果を発揮することができず、一方、20%を越えると、描線乾燥性が遅くなると共に、固着性が低下することとなり、好ましくない。
なお、25℃における蒸気圧が5mmHgを越える水溶性溶剤、例えば、水あるいは水よりも乾燥速度が速い溶剤(純エタノールや、濃度20%を超えるエタノールの水溶液、濃度20%を超えるプロパノールの水溶液等)を使用すると、上記水に可溶で疎水部を持つ樹脂の作用(非吸収面上の油汚れを引き剥がし、かつ、非吸収面への固着を促進させる作用)が発揮される前に描線が乾燥してしまい、結果的に描線の固着性を低下を招くこととなり、本発明の効果を発揮することができないものとなる(この点については更に後述する実施例等で説明する)。従って、このような水溶性溶剤は溶媒中に20%を超えて添加されることは許されない。
用いることができるpH調整剤としては、アンモニア、尿素、モノエタノールアミン、ジエタノールアミン、トリエタノールアミンや、トリポリリン酸ナトリウム、炭酸ナトリウムなとの炭酸やリン酸のアルカリ金属塩、水酸化ナトリウムなどのアルカリ金属の水和物などが挙げられる。これらは、単独で又は二種以上組み合わせて用いることができる。
これらのpH調整剤の含有量は、水に可溶でその分子内に疎水部を持つ樹脂の含有量により変動するが、インク組成物全量に対して、0.05~2%、好ましくは、0.1~1%とすることが望ましい。
更に、本発明の水性マーキングインク組成物には、上記各成分の他、必要に応じて、防腐剤、防錆剤などの任意成分を適宜含有することができる。
本発明の水性マーキングインク組成物は、上記各必須成分〔残部を水(精製水、イオン交換水、蒸留水等)により調製)などをボールミル、ホモミキサー、ビーズミル、三本ロールミルなどを用いて常法により製造することができる。

これらの各ずり速度(S-1)における各粘度(mPa・s)が各数値(40mPa・s、20mPa・s、15mPa・s、12mPa・s、10mPa・s)未満であると、再分散性が悪くなり、一方、各粘度(mPa・s)が各数値(75mPa・s、50mPa・s、35mPa・s、22mPa・s、18mPa・s)を越えると、高粘度となり、追随性が悪くなる、即ち、インク流量が少なくなり、カスレの原因となり、好ましくない。

なお、上記各ずり速度による各粘度範囲とするためには、酸化チタン(第2の隠蔽剤を併用する場合は第2の隠蔽剤)の種類、特性(比重)、その含有量、水溶性樹脂の種類、その含有量、増粘剤の種類、その含有量などを好適に組み合わせることにより、調整することができる。
また、本発明の水性マーキングインク組成物は、インク流出性が良好で、経時において隠蔽剤がたとえ沈降しても簡単な攪拌操作により再分散が容易で、隠蔽性、安定性に優れるものとなるものであり、タンク内には攪拌部材、バルブ機構を備えたマーキングペンタイプの筆記具に使用した場合には、経時において隠蔽剤がたとえ沈降しても簡単な攪拌操作により再分散が容易となるものであり、特に、隠蔽剤あるいは顔料より比重の大きい金属製などの攪拌部材を使用しなくとも、比重が隠蔽剤あるいは顔料よりも小さい撹拌部材、例えば、樹脂が体積分率で50%以上の樹脂から構成される攪拌部材を用いても簡単に撹拌することができる水性マーキングインク組成物が得られるものとなる。
特に、酸化チタンとは比重の異なる上記特性の第2の隠蔽剤を併用した場合に、インク流出性が更に良好で、経時において隠蔽剤がたとえ沈降しても簡単な攪拌操作により再分散が更に容易で、隠蔽性、安定性に更に優れたものとなる。
図1に示すように、この筆記具は、軸筒10後部に本発明の水性マーキングインク組成物を収容するタンク12と軸筒10前部内が連通しており、該タンク12に撹拌部材14を内装すると共に、前記軸筒10前部には、先端を突出させた状態の塗布体16、インク流路18を開閉する弁体20および弾発力によって該弁体20を前方に付勢するスプリング体22を内部に設けており、ペン先の塗布体16を押圧することにより前記弁体20をスプリング体22の弾発力に抗して開弁させて、前記塗布体16にインクを誘導し、これによって、対象物にインクを塗布(筆記)可能にするものである。なお、本形態の攪拌部材14は、ポリアセタール樹脂(POM、比重1.4)で構成されている。
前記先軸26は、中央部外周にフランジ26bが形成されていて、このフランジ26b軸筒10先端部10bに当接してそれ以上軸筒10内に潜り込まないように位置決めしている。また、先軸26の前部内周に弁受け部26cが環状内向きに突出形成されていて、この弁受け部26c前記弁体20外周が当接離脱するようになっている。なお、先軸26のフランジ26b後方の外周面部には、雄ネジ部26dが形成されていて、この雄ネジ部26dが対応箇所の軸筒10の内周面部の雌ネジ部10cに螺合固定して軸筒10から先軸26が抜けないようになっている。また、フランジ26bの外周面には、スパナ等の治具が対応する平坦な切り欠きが180°の間隔を置いて形成されており、治具によってこの切り欠きを挟持して、先軸26を軸筒10に対して回転させることにより、先軸を軸筒10から取り外して、インクをタンク12内に注ぎ足すことがとできる。すなわち、再利用可能にする。もちろんタンク12を軸筒10と別体の装脱可能なものにしたカートリッジ式とすることもできる。
この後部20bの円錐状側面部が先軸26の弁受け部26cの円形開口内面に斜めに当接・離脱してインク流路18を開閉する構造である。
また、前記スプリング体22内には、前記撹拌体14が挿抜可能な空間34を設けている。つまり、後部の筒状部32から弾発部22aさらには前部の弁体20後部20bにかけて断面方向中央部に中空の空間34を形成しており、この空間34内に撹拌体14が挿脱自在に構成されている。ここで、前記撹拌部材14は、棒状であって後端部14aが他の部分よりも拡径して一部切り欠いたフランジ状に形成されている。
また、前記スプリング体22の後端部の筒状部32は、外周面の凹凸が先軸26後端内周面の凹凸に嵌合して、スプリング体22が先軸26から抜けないようにされている。また、筒状部32の後端は外向きに拡径してフランジ状部32aになっており、先軸26に装着した際に先軸26の後端26aにフランジ状部32aが当接してそれ以上潜り込まないようにされている。さらにこのスプリング体22を先軸26に装着した状態で軸筒10内の先端部10bに装着して螺合固定したときに、インクタンク12の内周面のリブ12aによって前記フランジ状部32aは位置決めされる。つまり、当該フランジ状部32aは、先方から先軸26によって、また、後方からリブ12aによってそれぞれ挟み付けられて、軸筒10内での後端部の位置が固定され、先端部に設けられた弁体20が先後方向に進退動可能に設けられている。
前記スプリング体22の弾発部22aは、図3に示すように、横断面視で概略矩形形状を呈する四面に沿って2条の線状体を概略螺線状に整形しており、対向する二面に沿った線状体は軸方向に対してほぼ垂直に向き、また、他の対向する二面に沿った線状体は軸方向に対して斜めに向いて形成されている。また、スプリング体22は、その先端部に前記弁体20が一体に樹脂形成されたものである。
そして、使用者は塗布体16を机上等に押し当てて塗布体16をスプリング体22の弾発力に抗して後退させる。これにより、前記塗布体16の後端でスプリング体22前端の弁体20が先軸26の弁受け部26cから離れて、塗布液流路18が開き、スポンジ30を経由して塗布体16にインクが供給される。なお、撹拌部材14の後端部14aは一部切り欠いたフランジ状部であるので、該撹拌部材14がスプリング体22の空間34内に入っていても、当該後端部14aの切り欠きで空間34内への塗布液流路18が確保され塗布液の流れが途切れることが無く、スムーズな塗布・筆記が可能である。
以上の形態に係る弁付のマーキングペン(筆記具)によれば、攪拌部材14を、棒状であって後端部が他の部分よりも拡径して形成し、前記スプリング体22内には、撹拌部材14が挿抜可能な空間34を設け、軸筒10内では筒状内側段部32bが前記撹拌部材14の後端部を係止して、撹拌部材14の先端部がスプリング体22先端部内に当接しないように規制する規制受け部を有する。
下記表1及び表2に示す配合組成に基づいて常法により水性マーキングインク組成物(全量100%)を調製した。
得られた各水性マーキングインク組成物の25℃における各ずり速度3.83~383sec.-1における各粘度を下記測定方法により測定した。
また、得られた各水性マーキングインク組成物を用いて、下記構成のマーキングペンに充填して、下記各評価方法により、隠蔽性(非吸収黒面)、固着性(金属面)、描線状態(油で汚れている金属面)、筆記性能(流出)、再攪拌性(ボール動き回数)、再々初筆性(ペン先上向き繰り返し)及び下向き保存性(ペン芯詰まり)について評価した。
これらの結果を下記表1及び表2に示す。
得られた各水性マーキングインク組成物を十分に撹拌し、トキメック社製TV-20L型粘度計(コーンプレートタイプ)において、標準ロータ(1°34′×R24)、各ずり速度(3.83~383sec-1の7段階のずり速度、25℃)で測定した。
(マーキングペンの構成)
マーキングペンとして、下記構成のマーキングペンを使用した。
軸筒:三菱鉛筆社製PWX
ペン先:直径5mm、砲弾形状のPET繊維束芯
インク:各実施例及び比較例で調製した水性マーキングインク組成物4ml
インク流出構造:バルブ機構
攪拌部材:形状:棒状、ポリアセタール製、大きさ:φ5mm、比重1.4
各実施例及び比較例の水性マーキングインク組成物を充填したマーキングペンをJIS K 5400-1990及びJIS K 5600-1999に定める隠ぺい率測定紙に丸書きして、非吸収黒面の隠蔽性について、目視により下記評価基準で官能評価した。
評価基準:
◎:下地を完璧に隠蔽
○:下地が若干透ける
△:下地がほとんど透ける
×:下地が透ける
各実施例及び比較例の水性マーキングインク組成物を充填したマーキングペンを、エタノールで拭き取った後、潤滑油(ダフニー マーグプラスTH10、出光興産(株)製)を刷塗りした鉄板に25℃の環境下で丸書きをして、その金属面の固着性について、下記評価基準で25℃の環境下で評価した。
評価基準:
◎:綿棒擦過50回以上
○:綿棒擦過20~50回
△:綿棒擦過10~20回
×:綿棒擦過0~10回
各実施例及び比較例の水性マーキングインク組成物を充填したマーキングペンを、エタノールで拭き取った後、潤滑油(ダフニー マーグプラスTH10、出光興産(株)製)を刷塗りした鉄板に25℃の環境下で丸書きをして、その金属面の描線状態について、下記評価基準で官能評価した。
評価基準:
◎:良好な状態
○:若干ハジキもしくは滲み

各実施例及び比較例の水性マーキングインク組成物を充填したマーキングペンを、エタノールで拭き取った鉄板に25℃の環境下で丸書きをして、筆記性能(流出)について、下記評価基準で官能評価した。

各インクを充填したマーキングペンを40℃、2週間キャップを上向きにしたときのボール動き回数をカウントし、下記評価基準で評価した。

各実施例及び比較例の水性マーキングインク組成物を充填したマーキングペンを、エタノールで拭き取った鉄板に25℃の環境下で丸書きをして、筆記性能(流出)について、下記評価基準で官能評価した。

○:若干多いもしくは少ない
△:多いもしくは少ない
×:明らかに多いもしくは少ない
各インクを充填したマーキングペンを室温下でキャップを上向きに保存し、一日毎に筆記した描線の隠蔽性(エタノールで拭き取った鉄板に筆記した際の隠蔽性)を評価し、1週間その評価を繰り返し行い、1週間後に下記評価基準で官能(目視)評価した。
評価基準:
◎:初期隠蔽と略同等
○:初期隠蔽に比べて若干隠蔽低下
△:初期隠蔽に比べて隠蔽力低下
×:初期隠蔽に比べて明らかに隠蔽力不足
各インクを充填したマーキングペンを40℃で、2週間下向きに保存した後、エタノールで拭き取った鉄板に筆記し、下記評価基準で評価した。

実施例1~8及び実施例9~15は共に本発明範囲となるものであり、実施例9~15は酸化チタンと第2隠蔽剤との併用の形態であり、この実施例9、10及び11はそれぞれ実施例1、3及び4に準拠するものであり、これらの場合は、更に、再攪拌性、再々初筆性及び下向き保存性に優れるものであった。
これに対して、比較例を個別的にみると、比較例1は樹脂分が少なく描線固着性の評価が悪かった。比較例2は、25℃における蒸気圧が5mmHgを超える水溶性溶剤が20%を超えて溶媒中に含有されているので、金属面に完全定着する前に乾燥してしまい描線固着性の評価が悪かった。比較例3及び4は本発明の特定物性の水溶性溶剤の含有量が範囲外となるものであり、比較例3では水溶性溶剤が多いので比較例2に比べて乾燥時間は遅かったが、やはり描線固着性の評価が悪く、比較例4は水溶性溶剤の含有量が少ないので描線状態、描線固着性の評価が悪かった。比較例5は本発明の特定物性の水溶性溶剤を含有しないので描線状態、描線固着性の評価も悪かった。
また、比較例6及び7は、本発明の添加剤の含有量が範囲外となるものであり、比較例6では添加剤が超過となるので描線はにじみ、描線固着性の評価も悪く、比較例7では添加剤が少ないので描線はハジキが大きく、描線固着性の評価も悪かった。
更に、比較例8~11は、酸化チタンの含有量が本発明の範囲を外れる場合であり、酸化チタンの含有量が多い場合は筆記性能(流出量)が悪く、一方、酸化チタンの含有量が少ない場合は隠蔽性が悪くなることなどが判った。

Claims (7)
- 水に可溶でその分子内に疎水部を持つ樹脂1~20質量%と、酸化チタン5~30質量%を少なくとも含む着色剤と、アセチレングリコール類、アセチレンアルコール類又はこれらの誘導体から選ばれる少なくとも1種0.05~2質量%と、25℃における蒸気圧が5mmHg以下の水溶性溶剤1~20質量%と、水とを少なくとも含有することを特徴とする水性マーキングインク組成物。
- 前記酸化チタンの外、前記酸化チタンとは比重の異なる第2の隠蔽剤を更に含み、該第2の隠蔽剤がガラス粒子、金属粒子、樹脂粒子、中空樹脂粒子、炭酸カルシウム粒子、窒化硼素粒子、ワックス粒子、および、これらの複合粒子、あるいは、これらの粒子の分散体であり、該第2の隠蔽剤の粒子径が40nm~50000nmであって、かつ、該第2の隠蔽剤の含有量が固形分で2~20質量%であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の水性マーキングインク組成物。
- 水性マーキングインク組成物の25℃におけるELD型回転粘度計の下記ずり速度による粘度の測定値が、それぞれ下記の範囲にあることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の水性マーキングインク組成物。
