Abstract
Description
しかしながら、分子内に対称な構造を有する化合物では、これらの正孔輸送材料を用いて薄膜を形成して有機EL素子を作製する際に結晶化が起こりやすく、蒸着に用いるるつぼの出口を塞いだり、結晶化に起因する薄膜の欠陥が発生し、有機EL素子の歩留り低下を招くなどの問題が生じていた。また、分子内に多くの芳香族基を有する化合物は、一般的にガラス転移温度(Tg)は高いものの、昇華温度が高く、蒸着時の分解や蒸着が不均一に形成される等の現象が起こると考えられるために寿命が短いという問題があった。
また、ジベンゾフランを有する化合物の報告としては、特許文献3~5があるが、これらはジアミン化合物の中心骨格にジベンゾフランを有する構造である。モノアミンにアリール基を介してジベンゾフランを有する化合物の報告としては、特許6~8があるが、有機EL素子としての性能は十分ではない。
また、テルフェニル基を有するモノアミン化合物の報告としては、特許文献9~11があるが、これらは電子写真感光体として用いられたのみである。有機EL材料として使用した報告としては、特許文献12~14があるが、有機EL素子としての性能は十分ではない。
以上のように、長寿命な有機EL素子の報告があるものの、未だ必ずしも充分なものとはいえない。そのため、より優れた性能を有する有機EL素子の開発が強く望まれていた。
そして、このアミンユニットは立体障害性があるため分子間の相互作用が小さいことから、結晶化が抑制され、有機EL素子を製造する歩留を向上させ、また、還元安定性に優れるテルフェニル基を有することで分子の還元安定性が向上し、得られる有機EL素子の寿命を長くする効果があり、特に青色発光素子と組み合わせることにより、顕著な長寿命効果が得られることが見出された。本発明者らは、これらの知見に基づいて本発明を完成させるに至った。

一般式(3)中、R3~R5は、それぞれ独立に、前記R1と同じ基の中から選ばれる。アリール基またはアルキル基に結合できる置換基は前記R1と同じ基の中から選ばれる。e及びfは0~4、好ましくは0~1であり、より好ましくは0であり、gは0~5、好ましくは0~1であり、より好ましくは0である。複数のR3同士又はR4同士又はR5同士は、互いに結合して、置換されてもよい飽和もしくは不飽和の5員環又は6員環の環状構造を形成する結合基であってもよい。R3とR4とR5は、互いに結合して、置換されてもよい飽和の5員環又は6員環の環状構造を形成する結合基であってもよい。一般式(3)の好ましい具体例としては、R3とR4とR4が環を形成していない場合、またはR3とR4が5員環を形成する結合基となる場合、すなわち、9,9-ジメチルフルオニレン基のパラ位にフェニル基またはナフチル基が結合した構造のもの、またはR4とR5が5員環を形成する結合基となる場合、すなわち、フェニル基またはナフチル基のパラ位に9,9-ジメチルフルオニレン基が結合した構造のものである。
一般式(7)~(9)において、R3~R5は、それぞれ独立に、前記R1およびR2と同じ基の中から選ばれる。アリール基またはアルキル基に結合できる置換基は前記R1と同じ基の中から選ばれる。e及びfは0~4、好ましくは0~1の整数であり、より好ましくは0である、gは0~5、好ましくは0~1の整数であり、より好ましくは0である。R3とR4とR5は、互いに結合して置換されてもよい飽和の5員環又は6員環の環状構造を形成する結合基であってもよい。
一般式(1)において、Ar1~Ar3のうち一般式(2)および一般式(3)でないものは、それぞれ独立に、置換もしくは無置換の環形成炭素数6~50、好ましくは6~20のアリール基である。アリール基の具体例は前記R1およびR2に関して列挙したものと同じものである。好ましい具体例はビフェニル基、ナフチル基、フェナントリル基である。
さらに、前記Ar1~Ar3のうち少なくとも1個が前記一般式(2)で、かつ、一般式(2)中のAr4が前記一般式(4)、(5)または(6)で表わされ、残りのAr1~Ar3が前記一般式(7)~(9)のいずれかで表される芳香族アミン誘導体が好ましい。
また、前記Ar1~Ar3のうち1個が前記一般式(2)で、かつ、一般式(2)中のAr4が前記一般式(4)、(5)および(6)のいずれかで表され、2個が前記一般式(7)~(9)のいずれかで表される芳香族アミン誘導体が好ましい。
さらにまた、前記Ar1~Ar3のうち2個が前記一般式(2)で、かつ、一般式(2)中のAr4が前記一般式(4)、(5)および(6)で表され、1個が前記一般式(7)~(9)のいずれかで表される芳香族アミン誘導体が好ましい。
さらに、前記一般式(1)で表される芳香族アミン誘導体の中でも以下の態様のものも好ましい。
(a)前記一般式(2)が前記一般式(10)で表わされる芳香族アミン誘導体〔一般式(10)におけるR1及びR2、Ar4、a、b、cは一般式(2)におけるものと同じである〕
(b)前記Ar1~Ar3の1個が前記一般式(2)で表され、2個が前記一般式(7)又は(8)で表される芳香族アミン誘導体
(c)前記Ar1~Ar3の2個が前記一般式(2)で表され、1個が前記一般式(7)又は(8)で表される芳香族アミン誘導体
まず、一般式(2)で表される構造を生成させる化合物〔例えば、ジベンゾフラン-4-ボロン酸と4-ヨードブロモベンゼン〕を触媒〔例えば、テトラキス(トリフェニルフォスフィン)パラジウム(0)〕の存在下、溶媒〔例えば、トルエン〕とアルカリ性化合物〔例えば、炭酸ナトリウム〕水溶液中、50~150℃で反応させることにより、中間体Xを合成する。反応はアルゴンのような不活性ガス雰囲気下で行なうのが好ましい。
別途、一般式(3)で表わされる構造を生成させるハロゲン化物〔例えば、4-ブロモ-p-テルフェニル〕、アミノ基を生成させる化合物(置換もしくは無置換の環形成炭素数6~50のアリール基を生成させる化合物を含んでもよい)〔例えば、ベンズアミド〕を触媒(ヨウ化銅のような金属ハロゲン化物およびN,N‘-ジメチルエチレンジアミンのようなアミン〕およびアルカリ性物質〔例えば、炭酸カリウム〕の存在下、溶媒〔例えば、キシレン〕中、50~250℃で反応させた後、アルカリ性物質〔例えば、水酸化カリウム〕と水の存在下、溶媒〔例えば、キシレン〕中、50~250℃で反応させることにより、中間体Yを合成する。反応はアルゴンのような不活性ガス雰囲気下で行なうのが好ましい。
次に、中間体Xおよび中間体Yを触媒〔例えば、t-ブトキシナトリウムおよびトリス(ジベンジリデンアセトン)ジパラジウム(0)〕存在下、溶媒〔例えば、脱水トルエン〕中、0~150℃で反応させることにより本発明の芳香族アミン誘導体を合成することができる。反応はアルゴンのような不活性ガス雰囲気下で行なうのが好ましい。
反応終了後、室温まで冷却し、水を加えて反応生成物を濾過し、濾液をトルエンのような溶媒で抽出し、無水硫酸マグネシウムのような乾燥剤で乾燥させ、これを減圧下で脱溶媒して濃縮し、得られた粗生成物をカラム精製し、トルエンのような溶媒で再結晶し、それを濾別して乾燥することにより精製された本発明の芳香族アミン誘導体が得られる。
一般式(1)で表わされる芳香族アミン誘導体中に一般式(2)および一般式(3)以外の置換もしくは無置換の環形成炭素数6~50のアリール基を導入するには、中間体Xと中間体Yを反応させる際、または中間体Yを合成する際に反応量比を制御し、一般式(2)および一般式(3)以外の置換もしくは無置換の環形成炭素数6~50のアリール基のハロゲン化物〔例えば、1-ブロモナフタレン〕を同様に順次反応し、導入すればよい〔例えば、ベンズアミドに4-ブロモ-p-テルフェニルを1:1で反応させた後、1-ブロモナフタレンを1当量投入して反応した後、加水分解することで一般式(3)と「一般式(2)および一般式(3)以外のアリール基」を導入した中間体Yが得られる〕。
一般式(2)のハロゲン化物と一般式(3)のハロゲン化物と一般式(2)および一般式(3)以外の置換もしくは無置換の環形成炭素数6~50のアリール基のハロゲン化物は任意に中間体Yに導入することが可能である。また、アリール基は1つもしくは2つ導入することが可能であり、さらに任意の組み合わせで導入することが可能である。その導入の結果得られたアミン化合物(中間体Y)と任意のハロゲン化物(中間体X)を反応させることで目的物を得ることができる。これらの反応順序や組み合わせ方は、反応性や精製の容易さ等を考慮して行うことができる。
本発明の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子は陰極と陽極間に発光層を含む一層以上の有機薄膜層を有し、該有機薄膜層の少なくとも一層が、前記いずれかの芳香族アミン誘導体を含有する。
本発明の有機EL素子において、好ましくは前記正孔注入層又は正孔輸送層が、前記一般式(1)で表わされる芳香族アミン誘導体を含有する。
本発明の有機EL素子の代表的な素子構成としては、

などの構造を挙げることができる。
これらの中で通常(8)の構成が好ましく用いられるが、これらに限定されるものではない。
また、本発明の有機EL素子において、本発明の一般式(1)で表される芳香族アミン誘導体は、上記のどの有機層に用いられてもよいが、これらの構成要素の中の発光帯域に含有されていることが好ましく、特に好ましくは正孔注入層や正孔輸送層に含有されている場合である。含有させる量は30~100モル%から選ばれる。
本発明の芳香族アミン誘導体は正孔注入層又は正孔輸送層用の材料として好ましく用いられる。
正孔注入層および正孔輸送層は、発光層への正孔注入を助け、発光領域まで輸送する層であって、正孔移動度が大きく、イオン化エネルギーが通常5.5eV以下と小さい。このような正孔注入・輸送層としてはより低い電界強度で正孔を発光層に輸送する材料が好ましく、さらに正孔の移動度が、例えば104~106V/cmの電界印加時に、少なくとも10-4cm2/V・秒以上であれば好ましい。本発明の化合物はイオン化エネルギーが小さく、正孔移動度が大きいため正孔輸送材料として好ましい。また、分子内に極性基を含有するため陽極との接着性が良く、基盤の洗浄条件等の影響を受けにくいため、正孔注入材料として好ましい。これらの要因により本発明を用いた有機EL素子は長寿命化していると考えられる。
正孔注入層または正孔輸送層は本発明の芳香族アミン誘導体を、例えば真空蒸着法、スピンコート法、キャスト法、LB法等の公知の方法により薄膜化することにより形成することができる。正孔注入層または正孔輸送層としての膜厚は特に制限はないが、通常は5nm~5μmである。この正孔注入層または正孔輸送層は正孔輸送帯域に本発明の芳香族アミン誘導体を含有していれば、上記芳香族アミン誘導体の一種又は二種以上からなる一層で構成されてもよいし、又は前記正孔注入、輸送層とは別種の化合物を含む正孔注入層または正孔輸送層を積層したものであってもよい。
また、有機半導体層は発光層への正孔注入又は電子注入を助ける層であって、10-10S/cm以上の導電率を有するものが好適である。このような有機半導体層の材料としては、含チオフェンオリゴマーや特開平8-193191号公報に開示してある含アリールアミンオリゴマー等の導電性オリゴマー、含アリールアミンデンドリマー等の導電性デンドリマー等を用いることができる。
このような透光性基板としては、例えば、ガラス板、合成樹脂板などが好適に用いられる。ガラス板としては、特にソーダ石灰ガラス、バリウム・ストロンチウム含有ガラス、鉛ガラス、アルミノケイ酸ガラス、ホウケイ酸ガラス、バリウムホウケイ酸ガラス、石英などで成形された板が挙げられる。また、合成樹脂板としては、ポリカーボネート樹脂、アクリル樹脂、ポリエチレンテレフタレート樹脂、ポリエーテルスルフィド樹脂、ポリスルホン樹脂などの板が挙げられる。
陽極はこれらの電極物質を蒸着法やスパッタリング法等の方法で薄膜を形成させることにより作製することができる。
このように発光層からの発光を陽極から取り出す場合、陽極の発光に対する透過率が10%より大きくすることが好ましい。また陽極のシート抵抗は、数百Ω/□以下が好ましい。陽極の膜厚は材料にもよるが、通常10nm~1μm、好ましくは10~200nmの範囲で選択される。
この陰極はこれらの電極物質を蒸着やスパッタリング等の方法により薄膜を形成させることにより、作製することができる。
ここで、発光層からの発光を陰極から取り出す場合、陰極の発光に対する透過率は10%より大きくすることが好ましい。また、陰極としてのシート抵抗は数百Ω/□以下が好ましく、さらに、膜厚は通常10nm~1μm、好ましくは50~200nmである。
絶縁層に用いられる材料としては、例えば、酸化アルミニウム、弗化リチウム、酸化リチウム、弗化セシウム、酸化セシウム、酸化マグネシウム、弗化マグネシウム、酸化カルシウム、弗化カルシウム、窒化アルミニウム、酸化チタン、酸化珪素、酸化ゲルマニウム、窒化珪素、窒化ホウ素、酸化モリブデン、酸化ルテニウム、酸化バナジウム等が挙げられる。これらの混合物や積層物を用いてもよい。
(i)注入機能;電界印加時に陽極又は正孔注入層より正孔を注入することができ、陰極又は電子注入層より電子を注入することができる機能
(ii)輸送機能;注入した電荷(電子と正孔)を電界の力で移動させる機能
(iii)発光機能;電子と正孔の再結合の場を提供し、これを発光につなげる機能を有する。
この発光層を形成させる方法としては、例えば蒸着法、スピンコート法、LB法等の公知の方法を適用することができる。発光層は、特に分子堆積膜であることが好ましい。ここで分子堆積膜とは、気相状態の材料化合物から沈着され形成された薄膜や、溶液状態又は液相状態の材料化合物から固体化され形成された膜のことであり、通常この分子堆積膜は、LB法により形成された薄膜(分子累積膜)とは凝集構造、高次構造の相違や、それに起因する機能的な相違により区分することができる。
また特開昭57-51781号公報に開示されているように、樹脂等の結着剤と材料化合物とを溶剤に溶かして溶液とした後、これをスピンコート法等により薄膜化することによっても、発光層を形成することができる。
発光層の膜厚は、好ましくは5~50nm、より好ましくは7~50nm、最も好ましくは10~50nmである。5nm未満では発光層形成が困難となり、色度の調整が困難となる恐れがあり、50nmを超えると駆動電圧が上昇する恐れがある。
L1は、単結合、-O-、-S-、-N(R)-(Rはアルキル基または置換してもよいアリール基である)、アルキレン基またはアリーレン基を示す。
k,l,mおよびnは、それぞれ1~5の整数を示し、それらが2以上の場合、R50同士,R51同士,R55同士またはR56同士は、それぞれにおいて、同一でも異なっていてもよい。また、R52同士,R53同士,R54同士またはR55同士が結合して環を形成していてもよいし、R52とR53,R57とR58が、互いに結合して環を形成していてもよい。
L2は、単結合、-O-、-S-、-N(R)-(Rはアルキル基又は置換しても良い
アリール基である)、アルキレン基またはアリーレン基を示す。
R61~R63は、それぞれ独立に、水素原子、炭素数1~6のアルキル基、炭素数3~6のシクロアルキル基、炭素数1~6のアルコキシル基、炭素数5~18のアリールオキシ基、炭素数7~18のアラルキルオキシ基、炭素数1~6のエステル基またはフッ素原子を示す。
R93およびR94は、水素原子、置換あるいは無置換のアルキル基、置換あるいは無置換のアラルキル基、置換あるいは無置換のアリール基または置換あるいは無置換の複素環基を表わす。異なるフルオレン基に結合するR73同士、R74同士は、同じであっても異なっていてもよく、同じフルオレン基に結合するR73およびR74は、同じであっても異なっていてもよい。
Ar71およびAr72は、ベンゼン環の合計が3個以上の置換あるいは無置換の縮合多環芳香族基またはベンゼン環と複素環の合計が3個以上の置換あるいは無置換の炭素でフルオレン基に結合する縮合多環複素環基を表わす。Ar71およびAr72は、同じであっても異なっていてもよい。vは、1乃至10の整数を表す。
上記式(xii)で表されるナフタセン誘導体は、より好ましくは、下記式(xiii)で示されるナフタセン誘導体である。
以上の中でも、好ましくはアントラセン誘導体(さらに好ましくはモノアントラセン誘導体、特に好ましくは非対称アントラセン)、ペンタセン誘導体である。
このような化合物の具体例には、カルバゾール誘導体、トリアゾール誘導体、オキサゾール誘導体、オキサジアゾール誘導体、イミダゾール誘導体、ポリアリールアルカン誘導体、ピラゾリン誘導体、ピラゾロン誘導体、フェニレンジアミン誘導体、アリールアミン誘導体、アミノ置換カルコン誘導体、スチリルアントラセン誘導体、フルオレノン誘導体、ヒドラゾン誘導体、スチルベン誘導体、シラザン誘導体、芳香族第三アミン化合物、スチリルアミン化合物、芳香族ジメチリデン系化合物、ポルフィリン系化合物、アントラキノジメタン誘導体、アントロン誘導体、ジフェニルキノン誘導体、チオピランジオキシド誘導体、カルボジイミド誘導体、フルオレニリデンメタン誘導体、ジスチリルピラジン誘導体、ナフタレンペリレン等の複素環テトラカルボン酸無水物、フタロシアニン誘導体、8-キノリノール誘導体の金属錯体やメタルフタロシアニン、ベンゾオキサゾールやベンゾチアゾールを配位子とする金属錯体に代表される各種金属錯体ポリシラン系化合物、ポリ(N-ビニルカルバゾール)誘導体、アニリン系共重合体、チオフェンオリゴマー、ポリチオフェン等の導電性高分子オリゴマー、ポリチオフェン誘導体、ポリフェニレン誘導体、ポリフェニレンビニレン誘導体、ポリフルオレン誘導体等の高分子化合物等が含まれる。ホスト化合物は単独で使用してもよいし、2種以上を併用してもよい。具体例には、以下のような化合物が含まれる。
本発明において使用できるドーピング材料としては、既述の材料のように、又はその他材料として、例えば、アリールアミン化合物、スチリルアミン化合物、アントラセン誘導体、ナフタレン誘導体、フェナントレン誘導体、ピレン誘導体、テトラセン誘導体、コロネン誘導体、クリセン誘導体、フルオレセイン誘導体、ペリレン誘導体、フタロペリレン誘導体、ナフタロペリレン誘導体、ペリノン誘導体、フタロペリノン誘導体、ナフタロペリノン誘導体、ジフェニルブタジエン誘導体、テトラフェニルブタジエン誘導体、クマリン誘導体、オキサジアゾール誘導体、アルダジン誘導体、ビスベンゾキサゾリン誘導体、ビススチリル誘導体、ピラジン誘導体、シクロペンタジエン誘導体、キノリン金属錯体誘導体、アミノキノリン金属錯体誘導体、ベンゾキノリン金属錯体誘導体、イミン誘導体、ジフェニルエチレン誘導体、ビニルアントラセン誘導体、ジアミノカルバゾール誘導体、ピラン誘導体、チオピラン誘導体、ポリメチン誘導体、メロシアニン誘導体、イミダゾールキレート化オキシノイド誘導体、キナクリドン誘導体、ルブレン誘導体及び蛍光色素等が挙げられるが、これらに限定されるものではない。
本発明の有機EL素子において、スチリルアミン化合物及びまたはアリールアミンは、下記一般式(50)で表されるものが好ましい。
環形成炭素数が6~40である二価以上の芳香族基の例は、上記一価の環形成炭素数が6~40である芳香族基の例を二価以上の芳香族基にしたものが挙げられる。
オルトメタル化金属錯体を形成する配位子としては種々のものがあるが、好ましい配位子としては、2-フェニルピリジン誘導体、7,8-ベンゾキノリン誘導体、2-(2-チエニル)ピリジン誘導体、2-(1-ナフチル)ピリジン誘導体、2-フェニルキノリン誘導体等が挙げられる。これらの誘導体は必要に応じて置換基を有しても良い。特に、フッ素化物、トリフルオロメチル基を導入したものが、青色系ドーパントとしては好ましい。さらに補助配位子としてアセチルアセトナート、ピクリン酸等の上記配位子以外の配位子を有していても良い。
また、有機EL素子は発光した光が電極(この場合は陰極)により反射するため、直接陽極から取り出される発光と、電極による反射を経由して取り出される発光とが干渉することが知られている。この干渉効果を効率的に利用するため、電子輸送層は数nm~数μmの膜厚で適宜選ばれるが、特に膜厚が厚いとき、電圧上昇を避けるために、104~106V/cmの電界印加時に電子移動度が少なくとも10-5cm2/Vs以上であることが好ましい。
電子注入層に用いられる材料としては、8-ヒドロキシキノリンまたはその誘導体の金属錯体やオキサジアゾール誘導体が好適である。上記8-ヒドロキシキノリンまたはその誘導体の金属錯体の具体例としては、オキシン(一般に8-キノリノール又は8-ヒドロキシキノリン)のキレートを含む金属キレートオキシノイド化合物、例えばトリス(8-キノリノール)アルミニウムを電子注入材料として用いることができる。
一方、オキサジアゾール誘導体としては、以下の一般式で表される電子伝達化合物が挙げられる。
アリール基としては、フェニル基、ビフェニリル基、アントリル基、ペリレニル基、ピレニル基が挙げられる。また、アリーレン基としてはフェニレン基、ナフチレン基、ビフェニリレン基、アントリレン基、ペリレニレン基、ピレニレン基などが挙げられる。また、置換基としては炭素数1~10のアルキルまたは炭素数1~10のアルコキシ基等が挙げられる。この電子伝達化合物は、薄膜を形成することができる性質を有するものが好ましい。
上記電子伝達性化合物の具体例としては下記のものを挙げることができる。
Ar331は、置換もしくは無置換の核原子数6~60のアリール基、又は置換もしくは無置換の核原子数3~60のヘテロアリール基である。
Ar331'は、置換もしくは無置換の核原子数6~60のアリーレン基、又は置換もしくは無置換の核原子数3~60のヘテロアリーレン基である。
Ar332は、水素原子、炭素数1~20のアルキル基、炭素数1~20のハロアルキル基、炭素数1~20のアルコキシ基、置換もしくは無置換の核原子数6~60のアリール基、又は置換もしくは無置換の核原子数3~60のヘテロアリール基である。
ただし、Ar331、Ar332のいずれか一方は、置換もしくは無置換の核原子数10~60の縮合環基、又は置換もしくは無置換の核原子数3~60のヘテロ縮合環基である。
L331、L332及びL333は、それぞれ単結合、置換もしくは無置換の核原子数6~60のアリーレン基、置換もしくは無置換の核原子数3~60の2価のヘテロ縮合環又は置換もしくは無置換のフルオレニレン基である。
HAr-L-Ar1a-Ar2a (C)
式中、HArは、置換基を有していてもよい炭素数3~40の含窒素複素環であり、Lは、単結合、置換基を有していてもよい炭素数6~60のアリーレン基、置換基を有していてもよい炭素数3~60のヘテロアリーレン基又は置換基を有していてもよいフルオレニレン基であり、Ar1aは、置換基を有していてもよい核原子数6~60の2価の芳香族炭化水素基であり、Ar2aは、置換基を有していてもよい核原子数6~60のアリール基又は置換基を有していてもよい炭素数3~60のヘテロアリール基である)で表される含窒素複素環誘導体である。
この金属錯体は、n型半導体としての性質が強く、電子注入能力が大きい。さらには、錯体形成時の生成エネルギーも低いために、形成した金属錯体の金属と配位子との結合性も強固になり、発光材料としての蛍光量子効率も大きくなっている。

これらの材料に代表されるように、アクセプター性材料も正孔注入材料として用いることができる。これらの具体例は上述した通りである。
さらに、発光層の材料として示した前述の芳香族ジメチリディン系化合物の他、p型Si、p型SiC等の無機化合物も正孔注入層および正孔輸送層の材料として使用することができる。
本発明の有機EL素子の好ましい形態に、電子を輸送する領域または陰極と有機層の界面領域に、還元性ドーパントを含有する素子がある。ここで、還元性ドーパントとは、電子輸送性化合物を還元ができる物質と定義される。したがって、一定の還元性を有するものであれば、様々なものが用いられ、例えば、アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属、希土類金属、アルカリ金属の酸化物、アルカリ金属のハロゲン化物、アルカリ土類金属の酸化物、アルカリ土類金属のハロゲン化物、希土類金属の酸化物または希土類金属のハロゲン化物、アルカリ金属の有機錯体、アルカリ土類金属の有機錯体、希土類金属の有機錯体からなる群から選択される少なくとも一つの物質を好適に使用することができる。
本発明の芳香族アミン誘導体を正孔輸送帯域に用いる場合、本発明の芳香族アミン誘導体単独で正孔注入、輸送層を形成してもよく、他の材料と混合して用いてもよい。
本発明の芳香族アミン誘導体と混合して正孔注入・輸送層を形成する材料としては、前記の好ましい性質を有するものであれば特に制限はなく、従来、光導伝材料において正孔の電荷輸送材料として慣用されているものや、有機EL素子の正孔注入・輸送層に使用される公知のものの中から任意のものを選択して用いることができる。本発明においては、正孔輸送能を有し、正孔輸送帯域に用いることが可能な材料を正孔輸送材料と呼ぶ。
正孔注入・輸送層に使用される芳香族アミン誘導体としては、下記
置換もしくは無置換の核炭素数6~50の芳香族炭化水素基の具体例としては、フェニル基、1-ナフチル基、2-ナフチル基、1-アントリル基、2-アントリル基、9-アントリル基、1-フェナントリル基、2-フェナントリル基、3-フェナントリル基、4-フェナントリル基、9-フェナントリル基、1-ナフタセニル基、2-ナフタセニル基、9-ナフタセニル基、1-ピレニル基、2-ピレニル基、4-ピレニル基、2-ビフェニルイル基、3-ビフェニルイル基、4-ビフェニルイル基、p-テルフェニル-4-イル基、p-テルフェニル-3-イル基、p-テルフェニル-2-イル基、m-テルフェニル-4-イル基、m-テルフェニル-3-イル基、m-テルフェニル-2-イル基、o-トリル基、m-トリル基、p-トリル基、p-t-ブチルフェニル基、p-(2-フェニルプロピル)フェニル基、3-メチル-2-ナフチル基、4-メチル-1-ナフチル基、4-メチル-1-アントリル基、4’-メチルビフェニルイル基、4”-t-ブチル-p-テルフェニル4-イル基が挙げられる。
さらに、正孔注入層及び正孔輸送層に、下記式で表される化合物が使用できる。
また、米国特許第5,061,569号に記載されている2個の縮合芳香族環を分子内に有する、例えば、4,4’-ビス(N-(1-ナフチル)-N-フェニルアミノ)ビフェニル(以下NPDと略記する)、また特開平4-308688号公報に記載されているトリフェニルアミンユニットが3つスターバースト型に連結された4,4’,4”-トリス(N-(3-メチルフェニル)-N-フェニルアミノ)トリフェニルアミン(以下MTDATAと略記する)等を挙げることができる。
この他に特許3571977号で開示されている下記式で表される含窒素複素環誘導体も用いることができる。
さらに、米国公開2004/0113547で記載されている下記式の化合物も用いることができる。
これらの材料に代表されるように、アクセプター性材料も正孔注入材料として用いることができる。これらの具体例は上述した通りである。
さらに、発光層の材料として示した前述の芳香族ジメチリディン系化合物の他、p型Si、p型SiC等の無機化合物も正孔注入・輸送層の材料として使用することができる。
正孔注入・輸送層は本発明の芳香族アミン誘導体を、例えば、真空蒸着法、スピンコート法、キャスト法、LB法等の公知の方法により薄膜化することにより形成することができる。正孔注入・輸送層としての膜厚は特に制限はないが、通常は5nm~5μmである。この正孔注入・輸送層は、正孔輸送帯域に本発明の芳香族アミン誘導体を含有していれば、上述した材料の一種又は二種以上からなる一層で構成されてもよく、前記正孔注入・輸送層とは別種の化合物からなる正孔注入・輸送層を積層したものであってもよい。
また、発光層への正孔注入を助ける層として有機半導体層を設けてもよく、10-10S/cm以上の導電率を有するものが好適である。このような有機半導体層の材料としては、含チオフェンオリゴマーや特開平8-193191号公報に開示してある含アリールアミンオリゴマー等の導電性オリゴマー、含アリールアミンデンドリマー等の導電性デンドリマー等を用いることができる。
以下、透光性基板上に、陽極/正孔注入層/発光層/電子注入層/陰極が順次設けられた構成の有機EL素子の作製例について説明する。
まず、適当な透光性基板上に、陽極材料からなる薄膜を1μm以下、好ましくは10~200nmの範囲の膜厚になるように、蒸着法あるいはスパッタリング法により形成し、陽極とする。次に、この陽極上に正孔注入層を設ける。正孔注入層の形成は、前述したように真空蒸着法、スピンコート法、キャスト法、LB法等の方法により行うことができるが、均質な膜が得られやすく、かつピンホールが発生しにくい等の点から真空蒸着法により形成することが好ましい。真空蒸着法により正孔注入層を形成する場合、その蒸着条件は使用する化合物(正孔注入層の材料)、目的とする正孔注入層の結晶構造や再結合構造等により異なるが、一般に蒸着源温度50~450℃、真空度10-7~10-3Torr、蒸着速度0.01~50nm/秒、基板温度-50~300℃、膜厚5nm~5μmの範囲で適宜選択することが好ましい。
そして、最後に陰極を積層して有機EL素子を得ることができる。陰極は金属から構成されるもので、蒸着法、スパッタリングを用いることができる。しかし、下地の有機物層を製膜時の損傷から守るためには真空蒸着法が好ましい。
以上の有機EL素子の作製は、一回の真空引きで、一貫して陽極から陰極まで作製することが好ましい。
なお、有機EL素子に直流電圧を印加する場合、陽極を+、陰極を-の極性にして、5~40Vの電圧を印加すると発光が観測できる。また逆の極性で電圧を印加しても電流は流れず、発光は全く生じない。さらに交流電圧を印加した場合には陽極が+、陰極が-の極性になった時のみ均一な発光が観測される。印加する交流の波形は任意でよい。
合成例1~17および18~27において合成した中間体1~17および18~27の構造は下記のとおりである。
アルゴン気流下、1000ミリリットルの三つ口フラスコに4-ブロモビフェニルを47g、ヨウ素を23g、過ヨウ素酸2水和物を9.4g、水を42ミリリットル、酢酸を360ミリリットル、硫酸を11ミリリットル入れ65℃で30分撹拌後、90℃で6時間反応した。反応物を氷水に注入し、ろ過した。水で洗浄後、メタノールで洗浄することにより67gの白色粉末を得た。フィールドディソープションマススペクトル(以下、FD-MS)の分析により、C12H8BrI=359に対し、m/z=358と360の主ピークが得られたので、中間体1と同定した。
合成例1において4-ブロモビフェニルのかわりに2-ブロモ-9,9-ジメチルフルオレンを用いる以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、61gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、C15H12BrI=399に対し、m/z=398と400の主ピークが得られたので、中間体2と同定した。
ジベンゾフラン150g(892ミリモル)と酢酸1リットルをフラスコに仕込み、窒素置換し、加熱溶解させた。臭素188g(1.18モル)を時々水冷しながら滴下した後、空冷下20時間撹拌した。析出した結晶を濾別し、酢酸、水で順次洗浄し、減圧下乾燥させた。得られた結晶を、減圧蒸留にて精製しした後、メタノールで数回再結晶を繰り返し、2-ブロモジベンゾフラン66.8g(収率31%)を得た。
アルゴン雰囲気下、2-ブロモジベンゾフラン24.7g(100ミリモル)に無水THF400ミリリットルを加え、-40℃で撹拌中に、1.6M濃度のn-ブチルリチウムのヘキサン溶液63ミリリットル(100ミリモル)を加えた。反応溶液を0℃まで加温しながら1時間攪拌した。反応溶液を再び-78℃まで冷却し、ホウ酸トリメチル26.0g(250ミリモル)の乾燥THFの50ミリリットル溶液を滴下した。反応溶液を室温で5時間攪拌した。1N塩酸200ミリリットルを加え、1時間攪拌後、水層を除去した。有機層を硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥させ、溶媒を減圧留去した。得られた固体をトルエンで洗浄し、ジベンゾフラン-2-ボロン酸15.2g(収率72%)を得た。FD-MSの分析により、C12H9BO3=212に対し、m/z=212の主ピークが得られたので、中間体2と同定した。
m-ターフェニル250g(アルドリッチ社製)とヨウ化水素酸・二水和物50gとヨウ素75gと酢酸750ミリリットル と濃硫酸25ミリリットルを三口フラスコにいれ、70℃で3時間反応させた。反応後、メタノール5リットルに注入し、その後1時間撹拌した。これを濾取し、得られた結晶をカラムクロマトグラフィーを用いて精製し、アセトニトリルで再結晶し、白色粉末を64g得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体4と同定した。
アルゴン雰囲気下、4-ヨードブロモベンゼン28.3g(100ミリモル)、ジベンゾフラン-4-ボロン酸22.3g(105ミリモル)、テトラキス(トリフェニルフォスフィン)パラジウム(0) 2.31g(2.00ミリモル)にトルエン300ミリリットル、2M濃度の炭酸ナトリウム水溶液150ミリリットルを加え、10時間還流させながら加熱した。
反応終了後、直ちにろ過した後、水層を除去した。有機層を硫酸ナトリウムで乾燥させた後、濃縮した。残渣をシリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィで精製し、4-(4-ブロモフェニル)ジベンゾフランの白色結晶26.2gを得た(収率81%)。FD-MSの分析により、中間体5と同定した。
合成例5において、4-ヨードブロムベンゼンの代わりに中間体1を36g用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、28.1gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体6と同定した。
合成例5において、4-ヨードブロムベンゼンの代わりに中間体2を40g用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、30.2gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体7と同定した。
合成例7において、ジベンゾフラン-4-ボロン酸の代わりにフェニルボロン酸を12.8g用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、19.7gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体8と同定した。
合成例5において、ジベンゾフラン-4-ボロン酸の代わりに中間体3を22.3g用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、23.1gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体9と同定した。
合成例6において、ジベンゾフラン-4-ボロン酸の代わりに中間体3を22.3g用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、25.8gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体10と同定した。
合成例7において、ジベンゾフラン-4-ボロン酸の代わりに中間体3を22.3g用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、27.8gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体11と同定した。
アルゴン気流下、200ミリリットルの三つ口フラスコにベンズアミド(東京化成社製)5.7g、4-ブロモ-p-テルフェニル(東京化成社製)32.3g、ヨウ化銅(I)(和光純薬社製)1.64g、N,N‘-ジメチルエチレンジアミン(アルドリッチ社製)1.52g、炭酸カリウム(和光純薬社製)23.2g及びキシレン120ミリリットルを入れ、130℃にて36時間反応させた。
冷却後、ろ過しトルエンで洗浄した。さらに水とメタノールで洗浄した後、乾燥したところ、23gの淡黄色粉末を得た。
300ミリリットルの三つ口フラスコに上記粉末23.0g、水酸化カリウム(和光純薬社製)24.8g、イオン交換水21ミリリットル、キシレン(和光純薬社製)28ミリリットル、エタノール(和光純薬社製)15ミリリットルを入れ、36時間還流させながら加熱した。反応終了後、トルエンで抽出し、硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥した。これを減圧下で濃縮し、得られた粗生成物をカラム精製した。トルエンで再結晶し、それを濾取した後、乾燥したところ、10.2gの白色粉末として中間体12を得た。
合成例12において、4-ブロモ-p-テルフェニルの代わりに中間体4を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、8.2gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体13と同定した。
合成例12において、4-ブロモ-p-テルフェニルの代わりに中間体8を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、9.1gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体14と同定した。
合成例12において、4-ブロモ-p-テルフェニルを16.2g、ベンズアミドの代わりに1-アセトアミドナフタレンを8.8g用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、6.2gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体15と同定した。
合成例12において、4-ブロモ-p-テルフェニルの代わりに中間体5を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、7.3gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体16と同定した。
合成例12において、4-ブロモ-p-テルフェニルの代わりに中間体5を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、8.1gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体17と同定した。
合成例5において、4-ヨードブロムベンゼンの代わりに3-ヨードブロムベンゼンを28.3g用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、21.5gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体18と同定した。
合成例3において、2-ブロモジベンゾフランの代わりに中間体18を32.3g用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、20.2gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体19と同定した。
合成例5において、ジベンゾフラン-4-ボロン酸の代わりに中間体19を30.3g用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、31.9gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体20と同定した。
合成例18において、ジベンゾフラン-4-ボロン酸の代わりに中間体3を22.3g用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、25.9gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体21と同定した。
合成例3において、2-ブロモジベンゾフランの代わりに中間体21を32.3g用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、21.6gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体22と同定した。
合成例5において、ジベンゾフラン-4-ボロン酸の代わりに中間体22を30.3g用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、30.6gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体23と同定した。
合成例12において、4-ブロモ-p-テルフェニルの代わりに中間体18を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、9.8gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体24と同定した。
合成例12において、4-ブロモ-p-テルフェニルの代わりに中間体21を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、10.2gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体25と同定した。
アルゴン雰囲気下、1-ブロモ-3-フルオロ-4-ヨードベンゼン120.0g(399ミリモル)、2-メトキシフェニルボロン酸72.7g(479ミリモル)、テトラキス(トリフェニルフォスフィン)パラジウム(0) 9.2g(7.96ミリモル)にトルエン1000ミリリットル、2M濃度の炭酸ナトリウム水溶液500ミリリットルを加え、10時間還流させながら加熱した。
反応終了後、直ちにろ過した後、水層を除去した。有機層を硫酸ナトリウムで乾燥させた後、濃縮した。残渣をシリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィで精製し、4-ブロモ-2-フルオロ-2'-メトキシビフェニルの白色結晶89.6gを得た(収率80%)。
アルゴン雰囲気下、4-ブロモ-2-フルオロ-2'-メトキシビフェニル89.6g(319ミリモル)にジクロロメタン900ミリリットルを加え、氷冷下撹拌した。三臭化ホウ素95.9g(382ミリモル)を滴下して加え、その後、室温で12時間撹拌した。
反応終了後、水200ミリリットルを加え、1時間攪拌後、水層を除去した。有機層を硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥させた後、濃縮した。残渣をシリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィで精製し、4-ブロモ-2-フルオロ-2'-ヒドロキシビフェニルの白色結晶68.1gを得た(収率70%)。
4-ブロモ-2-フルオロ-2'-ヒドロキシビフェニル68.1g(255ミリモル)、炭酸カリウム70.4g(510ミリモル)にN-メチルピロリドン1500ミリリットルを加え、180℃で3時間撹拌した。
反応終了後、水を加え、トルエンで抽出した。有機層を硫酸ナトリウムで乾燥させた後、濃縮した。残渣をトルエンから再結晶して精製し、3-ブロモジベンゾフランの白色結晶44.2gを得た(収率60%)。
アルゴン雰囲気下、3-ブロモジベンゾフラン34.2g(138ミリモル)、4-クロロフェニルボロン酸26.0g(166ミリモル)、テトラキス(トリフェニルフォスフィン)パラジウム(0) 3.2g(2.77ミリモル)にトルエン350ミリリットル、2M濃度の炭酸ナトリウム水溶液170ミリリットルを加え、12時間還流させながら加熱した。
反応終了後、直ちにろ過した後、水層を除去した。有機層を硫酸ナトリウムで乾燥させた後、濃縮した。残渣をシリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィで精製し、23.1gの白色結晶を得た(収率60%)。FD-MSの分析により、中間体26と同定した。
合成例12において、4-ブロモ-p-テルフェニルの代わりに中間体26を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、8.5gの白色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、中間体27と同定した。
アルゴン気流下、中間体5を6.5g、中間体12を9.5g、t-ブトキシナトリウム2.6g(広島和光社製)、トリス(ジベンジリデンアセトン)ジパラジウム(0)92mg (アルドリッチ社製)、トリ-t-ブチルホスフィン42mg及び脱水トルエン100ミリリットル を入れ、80℃にて8時間反応させた。
冷却後、水500ミリリットルを加え、混合物をセライト濾過し、濾液をトルエンで抽出し、無水硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥させた。これを減圧下で濃縮し、得られた粗生成物をカラム精製し、トルエンで再結晶し、それを濾取した後、乾燥したところ、8.1gの淡黄色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、化合物H1と同定した。
合成実施例1において、中間体12の代わりに中間体13を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、7.6gの淡黄色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、化合物H2と同定した。
合成実施例1において、中間体12の代わりに中間体14を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、8.4gの淡黄色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、化合物H3と同定した。
合成実施例1において、中間体12の代わりに中間体15を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、4.6gの淡黄色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、化合物H4と同定した。
合成実施例1において、中間体5の代わりに中間体6を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、8.3gの淡黄色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、化合物H5と同定した。
合成実施例1において、中間体5の代わりに中間体7を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、7.3gの淡黄色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、化合物H6と同定した。

合成実施例1において、中間体5の代わりに中間体18を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、6.9gの淡黄色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、化合物H15と同定した。
合成実施例1において、中間体5の代わりに中間体20を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、7.1gの淡黄色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、化合物H16と同定した。
合成実施例1において、中間体5の代わりに4-ブロモ-p-テルフェニルを用い、中間体12の代わりに中間体24を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、4.6gの淡黄色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、化合物H17と同定した。
合成実施例1において、中間体5の代わりに中間体21を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、6.6gの淡黄色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、化合物H18と同定した。
合成実施例1において、中間体5の代わりに中間体23を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、5.1gの淡黄色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、化合物H19と同定した。
合成実施例1において、中間体5の代わりに4-ブロモ-p-テルフェニルを用い、中間体12の代わりに中間体25を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、4.7gの淡黄色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、化合物H20と同定した。
合成実施例1において、中間体5の代わりに中間体26を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、5.3gの淡黄色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、化合物H21と同定した。
合成実施例1において、中間体5の代わりに4-ブロモ-p-テルフェニルを用い、中間体12の代わりに中間体27を用いた以外は同様に反応を行ったところ、4.2gの淡黄色粉末を得た。FD-MSの分析により、化合物H22と同定した。
化合物H15~22の構造式を以下に示す。
25mm×75mm×1.1mm厚のITO透明電極付きガラス基板(ジオマティック社製)をイソプロピルアルコール中で超音波洗浄を5分間行なった後、UVオゾン洗浄を30分間行なった。
洗浄後の透明電極ライン付きガラス基板を真空蒸着装置の基板ホルダーに装着し、まず透明電極ラインが形成されている側の面上に前記透明電極を覆うようにして膜厚80nmの化合物H1層を成膜した。この膜は正孔注入・正孔輸送層として機能する。さらに膜厚40nmの下記化合物EM1を蒸着し成膜した。同時に発光分子として、下記のスチリル基を有するアミン化合物D1を、EM1とD1の重量比が40:2になるように蒸着した。この膜は、発光層として機能する。
この膜上に膜厚10nmの下記Alq膜を成膜した。これは、電子注入層として機能する。この後、還元性ドーパントであるLi(Li源:サエスゲッター社製)とAlqを二元蒸着させ、電子注入層(陰極)としてAlq:Li膜(膜厚10nm)を形成した。このAlq:Li膜上に金属Alを蒸着させ金属陰極を形成し有機EL素子を形成した。
また、得られた有機EL素子について、発光効率を測定し、発光色を観察した。発光効率はミノルタ製CS1000を用いて輝度を測定し、10mA/cm2における発光効率を算出した。さらに、初期輝度5000cd/m2、室温、DC定電流駆動での発光の半減寿命を測定した結果を表1に示す。
実施例1において、正孔輸送材料として化合物H1の代わりに表1に記載の化合物を用いた以外は同様にして有機EL素子を作製した。
得られた有機EL素子について、発光効率を測定し、発光色を観察し、さらに、初期輝度5000cd/m2、室温、DC定電流駆動での発光の半減寿命を測定した結果を表1に示す。
実施例1において、正孔輸送材料として化合物H1の代わりに前記比較化合物1(比較例1)~比較化合物4(比較例4)を用いた以外は同様にして有機EL素子を作製した。
また、得られた有機EL素子について、発光効率を測定し、発光色を観察し、さらに、初期輝度5000cd/m2、室温、DC定電流駆動での発光の半減寿命を測定した結果を表1に示す。
実施例1において、スチリル基を有するアミン化合物D1の代わりに下記アリールアミン化合物D2を用いた以外は同様にして有機EL素子を作製した。化合物D2におけるMeはメチル基である。
得られた有機EL素子について、発光効率を測定し、発光色を観察し、さらに、初期輝度5000cd/m2、室温、DC定電流駆動での発光の半減寿命を測定した結果を表1に示す。
実施例15において、正孔輸送材料として化合物H1の代わりに上記比較化合物1を用いた以外は同様にして有機EL素子を作製した。
得られた有機EL素子について、発光効率を測定し、発光色を観察し、さらに、初期輝度5000cd/m2、室温、DC定電流駆動での発光の半減寿命を測定した結果を表1に示す。
Claims (17)
- 下記一般式(1)
Ar1~Ar3のうち少なくとも1つは下記一般式(3)
一般式(1)において、Ar1~Ar3のうち一般式(2)および一般式(3)でないものは、それぞれ独立に、置換もしくは無置換の環形成炭素数6~50のアリール基〔ただし、一般式(3)の構造を含まない〕である]で表される芳香族アミン誘導体。 - 前記Ar1~Ar3の1個が前記一般式(2)で表され、2個が前記一般式(3)で表される請求項1に記載の芳香族アミン誘導体。
- 前記Ar1~Ar3の2個が前記一般式(2)で表され、1個が前記一般式(3)で表される請求項1に記載の芳香族アミン誘導体。
- 前記Ar1~Ar3の1個が前記一般式(2)で、かつ、一般式(2)中のAr4が前記一般式(4)、(5)または(6)で表され、2個が前記一般式(7)又は(8)で表される請求項1に記載の芳香族アミン誘導体。
- 前記Ar1~Ar3の2個が前記一般式(2)で表わされ、かつ、一般式(2)中のAr4が前記一般式(4)、(5)または(6)で表わされ、1個が前記一般式(7)又は(8)で表される請求項1に記載の芳香族アミン誘導体。
- 前記Ar1~Ar3の1個が前記一般式(2)で表され、2個が前記一般式(7)又は(8)で表される請求項1に記載の芳香族アミン誘導体。
- 前記Ar1~Ar3の2個が前記一般式(2)で表され、1個が前記一般式(7)又は(8)で表される請求項1に記載の芳香族アミン誘導体。
- 有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子用材料である請求項1に記載の芳香族アミン誘導体。
- 正孔注入材料又は正孔輸送材料である請求項11に記載の芳香族アミン誘導体。
- 陰極と陽極間に少なくとも発光層を含む一層又は複数層からなる有機薄膜層が挟持されている有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子において、該有機薄膜層の少なくとも1層が、請求項1に記載の芳香族アミン誘導体を単独もしくは混合物の成分として含有する有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
- 前記有機薄膜層が正孔注入層又は正孔輸送層を有し、該正孔注入層又は正孔輸送層が請求項1~10のいずれかに記載の芳香族アミンを含有する請求項13に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
- 前記発光層にスチリルアミン及び/又はアリールアミンを含有する請求項13に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
- 青色系発光する請求項13~15のいずれかに記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
