Abstract
La presente invencion proporciona un electrolito acuoso para su uso en baterias de almacenamiento recargables de haluro de cinc que posee estabilidad y durabilidad mejoradas y mejora el rendimiento de la bateria de haluro de cinc. Un aspecto de la presente invencion proporciona un electrolito para su uso en una celda electroquimica secundaria de bromuro de cinc que comprende desde aproximadamente el 30% en peso hasta aproximadamente el 40% en peso de ZnBr2 en peso del electrolito; desde aproximadamente el 5% en peso hasta aproximadamente el 15% en peso de KBr; desde aproximadamente el 5% en peso hasta aproximadamente el 15% en peso de KCl; y uno o mas agentes de amonio cuaternario, en el que el electrolito comprende desde aproximadamente el 0, 5% en peso hasta aproximadamente el 10% en peso del uno o mas agentes de amonio cuaternario
