Abstract
Det er beskrevet en homogen fremgangsmåte for hydrogenering av karboksylsyrer og/eller derivater derav i nærvær av én katalysator som omfatter rutenium, rodium, jern, osmium eller palladium, og et organisk fosfin hvori hydrogeneringen blir utført i nærvær av minst ca. 1 vekt% vann. En fremgangsmåte for regenerering av katalysatoren som omfatter rutenium, rodium, jern, osmium eller palladium og et organisk fosfin er også beskrevet hvori regenereringen blir utført i nærvær av hydrogen og vann.
