Abstract

Un procedimiento homogéneo para la hidrogenación de ácidos y/o anhídridos dicarboxílicos en presencia de un catalizador que comprende: a) rutenio, rodio, hierro, osmio o paladio; y b) una fosfina orgánica; en donde la hidrogenación es llevada a cabo en presencia de al menos aproximadamente 1 % en peso de agua y en donde la reacción es llevada a cabo a una presión de desde aproximadamente 500 psig a aproximadamente 2000 psig y a una temperatura de desde aproximadamente 200° C a aproximadamente 300° C de modo que se utilizan desde aproximadamente 1 mol a aproximadamente 10 mol de hidrógeno para separar 1 mol de producto del reactor.
