Abstract

Esta invencion se refiere a un dispositivo para impedir que un acelerador sea operado erroneamente cuando un pedal del acelerador de un vehículo automotor se presiona erroneamente a pesar de que se tiene por objetivo presionar el pedal del freno. Se proporciona un mecanismo de acopiamiento magnético (30) que comprende un miembro de articulacion del acelerador (26) que se articula con un pedal del acelerador (14) y que cuenta con una placa de atraccion magnética (32) montada sobre sí y un miembro de articulacion del obturador (28) conectado a un cable obturador (18) y que sostiene un magneto permanente (38) para atraer magnéticamente a la placa de atraccion (32). Cuando el pedal del acelerador se presiona, el cable obturador (18) se tira a través del mecanismo de acoplamiento magnético (30) de tal manera que se amplía el grado de abertura de esto, lo que provoca que el vehículo automotor se acelere. Cuando el pedal del acelerador (14) se presiona erroneamente a pesar de que se tiene por objetivo presionar el pedal del freno, la placa de atraccion (32) se separa del magneto permanente (38) para liberar la condicion de acoplamiento magnético de esto. Esto impide que la válvula obturadora se abra y por lo tanto se acelere el motor del vehículo.
