Abstract

광학 이방성층은 그의 분자내에 디스코틱 구조 단위를 갖는 화합물을 함유하고 네가티브 복굴절을 갖으며, 디스코틱 구조 단위는 광학 이방성층의 깊이 방향을 따라 변하는 각에서 투명 지지체의 평면으로부터 경사진 평면을 갖는, 투명 지지체 및 그위에 제공된 광학 이방성층을 포함하는 광학 보상 시이트가 개시되어 있다.

광학 보상 시이트 및 액정 디스플레이
본 내용은 요부공개 건이므로 전문내용을 수록하지 않았음
제1도는 본 발명의 투명 필름에 대한 세 축의 굴절률을 나타내는 개략적인 도면이다. 제2도는 본 발명의 광학 이방성층의 구조를 나타내는 개략적인 도면이다. 제3도는 액정 디스플레이의 액정층의 구조를 나타내는 개략적인 도면이다.

Claims (23)

  1. 광학 이방성층이 그의 분자내에 디스코틱 구조 단위를 갖는 화합물을 함유하고 네가티브 복굴절을 가지며, 디스코틱 구조 단위는 광학 이방성층의 깊이 방향을 따라 변하는 각에서 투명 지지체의 평면으로 부터 경사진 평면을 갖는, 투명 지지체 및 그 위에 제공된 광학 이방성층을 포함하는 광학 보상 시이트.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 광학 이방성층의 저부로 부터 깊이 방향으로 거리가 증가함에 따라 각이 증가하는 광학 보상 시이트.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 각이 5 내지 85도의 범위내로 변하는 광학 보상 시이트.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 광학 이방성층이 셀룰로스 에스테르를 더 함유하는 광학 보상 시이트.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 광학 이방성층이 아세틸부티릴셀룰로스를 더 함유하는 광학 보상 시이트.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 광학 보상 시이트가 5.0 이하의 헤이즈(haze)를 갖는 광학 보상 시이트.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 광학 이방성층이 모노-도메인(mono-domain)조건에 있거나 또는 0.1㎛ 이하의 크기를 갖는 도메인의 조건에 있는 광학 보상 시이트.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 배향층이 투명 지지체와 광학 이방성층 사이에 제공되는 광학 보상 시이트.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 서빙(subbing)층이 배향층과 투명 지지체 사이에 제공되는 광학 보상 시이트.
  10. 제1항에 있어서, 광학 이방성층이 시이트의 법선으로 부터 경사진 방향으로 최소 절대 지연값을 가지며, 최소값이 0이 아닌 광학 보상 시이트.
  11. 제1항에 있어서, 투명 지지체가 80%이상의 광 투과율을 가지며 지지체의 법선 방향에 그의 광학축을 갖는 광학 보상 시이트.
  12. 광학 보상 시이트는 투명 지지체 및 그 위에 제공된 광학 이방성층을 함유하며, 광학 이방성층은 그의 분자내에 디스코틱 구조 단위를 갖는 화합물을 함유하며 네가티브 복굴절을 갖고, 디스코틱 구조 단위는 광학 이방성층의 깊이 방향을 따라 변하는 각에서 투명 지지체의 평면으로 부터 경사진 평면을 갖는; 투명 전극이 제공된 한 쌍의 기판 및 그 사이에 봉합된 트위스트 배향 네마틱 액정을 포함하는 액정 셀, 셀의 양쪽에 배열된 한쌍의 편광 시이트, 및 액정 셀과 현광 시이트 사이에 제공된 광학 보상 시이트를 포함하는 액정 디스플레이.
  13. 제12항에 있어서, 광학 이방성층의 저부로 부터 깊이 방향으로 거리가 증가함에 따라 각이 증가하는 액정 디스플레이.
  14. 제12항에 있어서, 광학 이방성층이 셀룰로스 에스테르를 더 함유하는 액정 디스플레이.
  15. 제12항에 있어서, 배향층이 투명 지지체와 광학 이방성층 사이에 제공된 액정 디스플레이.
  16. 제12항에 있어서, 광학 이방성층이 시이트의 법선으로 부터 경사진 방향으로 최소 절대 지연값을 가지며, 최소값이 0이 아닌 액정 디스플레이.
  17. 제16항에 있어서, 액정 셀의 기판이 한 방향으로 러빙된 표면을 가져 배향 표면을 얻게하고 최소 절대지연 값의 방향이 셀 상에 정사영될때 주어진 방향이 광학 보상 시이트에 인접한 액정 셀의 기판이 러빙 방향으로 90 내지 270도의 각을 갖는 방법으로 광학 보상 시이트가 배열된 액정 디스플레이.
  18. 광학 보상 시이트는 투명 지지체 및 그 위에 제공된 광학 이방성층을 함유하며, 광학 이방성층은 그의 분자내에 디스코틱 구조 단위를 갖는 화합물을 함유하며 네가티브 복굴절을 갖고, 디스코틱 구조 단위는 광학 이방성층의 깊이 방향을 따라 변하는 각에서 투명 지지체의 평면으로 부터 경사진 평면을 갖는; 투명 전극이 제공된 한 쌍의 기판, 화소의 투명 전극 및 컬러 필터, 기판 사이에서 봉합된 트위스트 배향 네마틱 액정을 포함하는 액정 셀, 셀의 양 쪽에 배열된 한 쌍의 편광 시이트, 및 액정 셀과 편광 시이트 사이에 제공된 광학 보상 시이트를 포함하는 컬러 액정 디스플레이.
  19. 제18항에 있어서, 광학 이방성층의 저부로 부터 깊이 방향으로 거리가 증가함에 따라 각이 증가하는 컬러 액정 디스플레이.
  20. 제18항에 있어서, 광학 이방성층이 셀룰로스 에스테르를 더 함유하는 컬러 액정 디스플레이.
  21. 제18항에 있어서, 배향층이 투명 지지체와 광학 이방성층 사이에 제공되는 컬러 액정 디스플레이.
  22. 제18항에 있어서, 광학 이방성층이 시이트의 법선으로 부터 경사진 지연 값의 최소 절대값을 나타내는 방향을 가지며, 광학축을 갖지 않는 컬러 액정 디스플레이.
  23. 제22항에 있어서, 액정셀의 기판이 한 방향으로 러빙된 포면을 가져 배향 표면을 얻게하고 광학 보상 시이트는 최소 절대 지연값의 방향이 셀 상에 정사영될때 주어진 방향으로 광학 보상 시이트에 인접한 액정셀의 기판의 러빙 방향으로 90 내지 270도의 각을 갖는 방법으로 광학 보상 시트가 배열된 컬러 액정 디스플레이.
