Abstract

목적
액정디스플레이의 시야각의존성을 겸감하기 위해서, 액정셀에 유래하는 비틀림구조와 굴절율 이방성의 어느것도 동시에 보상할 수 있는 것이 가능한 보상필름을 제공한다.
구성
액정상태에서의 액정의 배향형태를 고정화한 필름에서, 그 필름으로서 디스코틱액정성 재료에서 형성되고, 그 디스코틱액정의 배향형태가, 비틀림배향이 필름을 쓴다.

Description

액정성광학필름 및 액정성광학필름으로 되는 액정표시소자용 보상필름 및 그 보상 필름을 갖춘 액정표시장치
본 내용은 요부공개 건이므로 전문내용을 수록하지 않았음
제3도는 본 발명의 비틀림 구조에서, 디스코틱액정성화합물의 다이렉터가 연속적으로 변화하는 부분과 불연속으로 변화하는 부분과의 설명도, 제10도는 실시예 1에서 사용한 액정표시소자의 구성도.

Claims (8)

  1. 액정상태에서의 액정의 배향형태를 고정화한 필름에서, 그 필름이 디스코틱 액정성 재료에서 형성되고, 그 디스코틱액정의 배향형태가, 비틀림배향인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정성광학필름.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 디스코틱액정성재료가, 적어도 1종의 광학활성인 화합물을 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정성광학필름.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 적어도 1종의 광학활성인 화합물이, 광학활성인 디스코틱액정성화합물인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정성광학필름.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 디스코틱액정성재료가 적어도 1종의 광학활성인 디스코틱액정성화합물에 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정성광학필름.
  5. 제1항 내지 제4항에 있어서, 디스코틱액정의 다이렉터와 필름평면법선이 이루는 각도가, 필름의 두께방향으로 변화한 상태에서 고정화된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정성광학필름.
  6. 제1항 내지 제5항에 있어서, 디스코틱액정의 다이렉터와 필름명면법선이 이루는 각도가, 필름의 상면과 하면에서 다른 것을 특징으로 하는 액정성광학필름.
  7. 제1항 내지 제6항에 있어서, 액정성광학필름에서 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자용 보상필름.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 보상필름 1장 또는 복수장을 갖춘 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
