Claims (15)

  1. 상부 및 하부 픽셀쌍을 복수개 갖는 액정 디스플레이에 있어서, 상기 각 픽셀은 상이한 전압이 인가되는 복수개의 서브 영역을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 디스플레이.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 액정 디스플레이는 TN 액정을 사용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 디스플레이.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 각 픽셀은 커패시티가 서로 다른 서브 영역으로 나누어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 디스플레이.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 광학 보상층의 광학적 네거티브 축은 상기 광학 보상층 표면의 법선축에 대하여 기울어진 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 디스플레이.

  8. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 광학 보상층 표면의 법선축에 대하여 균일하게 기울어진 2개의 상기 광학 보상층은 각각의 광학축 방향이 액정에 전압이 인가된 경우의 액정 방향자의 방향과 거의 대응하도록 상부 기판 위와 하부 기판 아래에 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 디스플레이.
  9. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 광학 보상층 표면의 법선축에 대하여 균일하게 기울어진 2개의 상기 광학 보상층은 광학축의 평균 방향이 액정에 전압이 인가된 경우의 액정 방향자의 방향과 거의 대응하도록 상부 기판 위에 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 디스플레이.
  10. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 광학 보상층 표면의 법선축에 대하여 균일하게 기울어진 2개의 상기 광학 보상층은 광학축의 평균 방향이 액정에 전압이 인가된 경우의 액정 방향자의 방향과 거의 대응하도록 하부 기판 아래에 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 디스플레이.
  11. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 광학 보상층 표면의 법선축에 대하여 균일하게 기울어진 2개의 상기 광학 보상층은 광학축의 평균 방향이 액정에 전압이 인가된 경우의 액정 방향자의 방향과 거의 대응하도록 상부 기판 위와 하부 기판 아래에 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 디스플레이.
  12. 액정 분자의 트위스트 방향과 틸트 업 방향이 서로 다르면서 상호 존재하는 상이한 영역을 갖는 액정층과, 액정층과 편광판사이에 양축 이방성 굴절율을 갖는 하나 이상의 광학 보상층을 포함하며, 상기 광학 보상층의 양축 이방성 굴절율은 nx〉ny〉nz의 관계를 충족시키는 3개의 서로 다른 굴절율 nx, ny〉nz를 가지며, nx는 상기 광학 보상층 표면에 평행한 X축과 평행한 방향의 굴절율이며, ny는 상기 광학 보상층 표면에 평행한 Y축에 평행하며 상기 X축과 수직한 방향의 굴절율이며, nz는 상기 광학 보상층의 표면에 수직한 Z축과 평행한 방향의 굴절율인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 디스플레이.

  15. 제12항에 있어서, 액정층의 상부 및 하부 표면상에 제공된 상부 및 하부 방향막과, 상기 상부 방향막상에 제공된 상부 투명 전극과, 상기 하부 방향막(21)상에 제공된 하부 투명 전극과, 상기 상부 투명 전극상에 제공된 상부 유리 기판과, 상기 상부 유리 기판으로부터 소정 갭만큼 떨어져 상기 상부 유리 기판 위에 제공된 상부 편광판과, 상기 하부 유리 기판으로부터 소정 갭만큼 떨어져 상기 하부 유리 기판 아래에 제공된 광학 보상층과, 상기 광학 보상층으로부터 소정 갭만큼 떨어져 상기 광학 보상층 아래에 제공된 하부 편광판을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 디스플레이.
