Claims (6)

  1. 대향하여 배치하는 2매의 전극기판간에 비틀림 배향한 네마틱 액정을 협지하여서 되는 액정 셀과, 상기 액정 셀을 끼고 양측으로 배치된 1쌍의 편광판으로 되는 액정표시장치에 있어서,
    상기 네마리액정 이외에 광학적 이방체를 1쌍의 상기 편광판 사이에 최소한 1층을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 광학적 이방체가, 대향하여 배치하는 2매의 기판간에 배치하는 액정임을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  3. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기한 광한적 이방체가, 필름상태 고분자인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  4. 제2항에 있어서,
    상기 광학적 이방체가, 상기 네마틱 액정의 비틀림 방향과 다른 방향으로, 비틀림 배향을 하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  5. 제3항에 있어서,
    상기한 광학적 이방체를 최소한 2층이상 사용하였을때에, 최소한 2층간에서 광축이 방향이 다른 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
  6. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기한 광학적 이방체와 상기 네마틱 액정의 인집하는 면에서의 각각의 광축의 방향이 거의 수직이거나, 혹은 거의 평행인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
