Claims (5)

  1. 전기 광학 소자에 있어서, 액정층과 적어도 상기 액정층 일부에 전압을 인가하는 수단을 가지는 액정 셀과 적어도 1층의 광학적 이방체를 갖추며, 상기 액정 셀과 광학적 이방체의 굴절을 분산α, 굴절율 이방성 △η, 층후 d중 적어도 하나가 다른 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 소자.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 액정 셀은 비틀림 각이 90도 이상 360도 미만인 네마틱 액정인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 소자.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 광학적 이방체가 네마틱 액정으로 되며 그 네마틱 액정의 비틀림 각이 0도 이상 400도 미만인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 소자.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 네마틱 액정으로 되는 상기 광학적 이방체의 층후가 전압을 인가하는 수단을 가지는 상기 액정 셀의 액정의 층후보다 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 소자.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 네마틱 액정으로 되는 상기 광학적 이방체의 굴절율 이방성 △η와 층후 d의 적이, 전압을 인가하는 수단을 가지는 상기 액정 셀의 액정의 굴절율 이방성 △η와 층후 d의 적보다 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 소자.
