Claims (5)

  1. 마주하는 2장의 기판 사이에 트위스트 배향하는 액정을 끼워서 형성되는 액정 쎌, 1장의 편광판, 1장의 반사판을 구비한 액정 표시 소자에 있어서, 이 액정 쎌에 입사하여 반사판에 이른 광이, 거의 직선 편광의 상태로 되는 액정을 사용한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 소자.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기한 액정 쎌에 있어서, 액정의 트위스트각이 0도 이상 70도 이하이며, 액정의 복굴절율 △n과 쎌갭 d과의적인 지연 △n+d의 값이 0.2㎛이상 0.7㎛이하이며, 편광판의 편광축(흡수축 혹은 투과축)방향이 상기판에 있어서 액정 배향 방향과 이루는 각도 θ가, 액정의 비틀림 방향을 정으로 하여, 35도 이상 115도 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 소자.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기한 액정 쎌에 있어서, 액정의 트위스트각이 170도 이상 270도 이하이며, △n×d값이 0.4㎛이상, 1.0㎛이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 소자.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 액정 쎌의 2장의 기판중, 최소한 한편의 기판의 액정 측 표면에, 층자 0.1㎛이상 2㎛이하의을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 소자.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 반사판이, 상기 책정 쎌 기판의 액정 측 표면에 설치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 소자.
