제1도는 본 발명에 따른 액정 디스플레이 (LCD : liquid crystal display) 셀의 전개도이다.
제2도는 각의 배열, 표면배향 및 또 다른 편광자에 대한 편광자를 내타내는 도식도이다.
제3도는 바람직한 실시 태양의 전압-대비곡선을 나타낸다.

Claims (10)

180°의 꼬임각 Φ.0°또는 90°의 광 입사면상의 판에서의 표면배향 방향과 편광방향 간의 각 β:β가 0°인 경우는 90°또한 β가 90°인 경우는 -0°인 광 입사면 상의 판에서의 편광방향과 광 사출면 상의 판에서의 편광방향 간의 각 ψ:0.2내지 0.7㎜의 광로차 △n.d(d의 단위는㎛) : 및 0.2 내지 0.6인 두께 : 피치의 비 d/p를 가지며, 여기서 Ψ.ψ 및 β의 값은 주어진 값에 따라 다음 범위로 변할 수 있으며, 꼬임각 Φ의 절대치는 우측 꼬임 또는 좌측 꼬임대 대해 120°내지 260°일 수 있고, 각 ψ은 0°내지 180°일 수 있으며, 각 β는 0°내지 360°일수 있음을 특징으로 하는, 전극 및 표면배향을 갖는 두개의 판들 사이에 배치되며 양성 유전 이방성을 갖는 많이 꼬인 뉴마틱 액정을 포함하는 액정 디스플레이(LCD)셀.
제1항에 있어서, 꼬임 각이 180°임을 특징으로 하는 셀.
제1항에 있어서, Φ가 180°이고, β가 0°이며, ψ가 90°임을 특징으로 하는 셀.
제1항에 있어서, Φ가 180°이고, β가 0°이며, ψ가 135°임을 특징으로 하는 셀.
제1항에 있어서, 각 β가 0°±10°이고 각 ψ가 90°±40°임을 특징으로 하는 셀.
제1항에 있어서, β가 0°이고 각 ψ가 135°임을 특징으로 하는 셀.
제1항에 있어서, β가 90°±10°이고 편광자가 교차됨을 특징으로 하는 셀.
제1항에 있어서, 광로차가 0.4 내지 0.6㎛임을 특징으로 하는 셀.
제1항에 있어서, 두께 : 피치의 비 d/p가 0.29 : 0.4임을 특징으로 하는 셀.
제1항에 있어서, 셀이 반사적을 작동함을 특징으로 하는 셀.
