Claims (8)
- 入力電圧から出力電圧を生成してLEDに供給する昇降圧DC/DCコンバータを制御する昇降圧DC/DCコントローラブロックと、
前記LEDの出力電流を生成するカレントドライバブロックと、
を有し、
前記昇降圧DC/DCコンバータは、
第1端が前記入力電圧の印加端に接続された第1スイッチと、
カソードが前記第1スイッチの第2端に接続されてアノードが接地端に接続された第1ダイオードと、
第1端が前記第1スイッチの第2端に接続されたインダクタと、
第1端が前記インダクタの第2端に接続されて第2端が接地端に接続された第2スイッチと、
アノードが前記インダクタの第2端に接続されてカソードが前記LEDのアノードに接続された第2ダイオードと、
を含み、
前記昇降圧DC/DCコントローラブロックは、
前記LEDのカソード電圧と所定のLED制御電圧との差分を増幅して誤差電圧を生成するエラーアンプと、
スロープ電圧を生成するスロープ電圧生成部と、
前記誤差電圧と前記スロープ電圧を比較して比較信号を生成するPWMコンパレータと、
前記比較信号に基づいて駆動信号を生成するドライバ制御部と、
前記駆動信号に基づいて前記第1スイッチをオン/オフさせる第1ドライバと、
前記駆動信号に基づいて前記第2スイッチをオン/オフさせる第2ドライバと、
を含み、
前記スロープ電圧生成部は、所定周波数の三角波電圧と前記第1スイッチに流れる電流に応じた電流検出電圧との加算電圧を前記スロープ電圧として出力する、
ことを特徴とするLEDドライバ。 - 前記昇降圧DC/DCコントローラブロックは、さらに、前記駆動信号に基づいて前記第1スイッチ及び前記第2スイッチとは相補的にオン/オフされる第3スイッチを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLEDドライバ。
- 前記第3スイッチは、第1ダイオードと並列に接続されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のLEDドライバ。
- 前記カレントドライバブロックは、
基準電流を生成する電流設定部と、
前記基準電流に応じて前記出力電流を生成する定電流ドライバと、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか一項に記載のLEDドライバ。 - 前記電流設定部は、前記基準電流に応じた基準電圧を前記定電流ドライバに出力し、
前記定電流ドライバは、前記基準電圧に基づいて電圧/電流変換と電流/電圧変換を繰り返しながら前記出力電流を生成することを特徴とする請求項4に記載のLEDドライバ。 - 前記定電流ドライバは、前記電圧/電流変換と前記電流/電圧変換を行うために、トリミング可能な複数の抵抗を含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のLEDドライバ。
- 前記複数の抵抗のうち、ペアとなる抵抗が千鳥状にレイアウトされていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のLEDドライバ。
- 前記電流設定部は、外部から入力される制御電圧と内部で予め定められた定電圧のうち、いずれか低い方の電圧値に基づいて前記基準電流を設定することを特徴とする請求項4に記載のLEDドライバ。
