樹脂(c−1):酢酸ビニル、(メタ)アクリル酸、(メタ)アクリル酸エチル、(メタ)アクリル酸メチル、無水マレイン酸、及び(メタ)アクリル酸グリシジルからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種と、エチレンとの共重合体
樹脂(c−2):変性ポリスチレン系樹脂
樹脂(c−3):変性ポリオレフィン系樹脂
本発明のフィルムは、ポリオレフィン系樹脂(A)、ポリ乳酸系樹脂(B)、並びに樹脂(A)と樹脂(B)との相溶化を促進させる、樹脂(A)及び樹脂(B)とは異なる樹脂(C)(以下、該樹脂(C)を「相溶性樹脂(C)」と省略する場合がある。)を主成分とする混合樹脂からなるか、あるいはこの混合樹脂層を少なくとも1層有する。
本発明において、樹脂(A)として使用されるポリオレフィン系樹脂は特に限定されないが、熱収縮特性、機械的物性、及び成形性の観点から、ポリエチレン系樹脂、ポリプロピレン系樹脂、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体、又はこれらの混合物を用いることが好ましい。以下に、本発明で用いられる好適なポリエチレン系樹脂、ポリプロピレン系樹脂、及びエチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体を例示する。
次に樹脂(B)として使用されるポリ乳酸系樹脂について説明する。本発明におけるポリ乳酸系樹脂とは、D−乳酸若しくはL−乳酸の単独重合体又はそれらの共重合体であり、これらの混合物も含まれる。より具体的には、構造単位がD−乳酸であるポリ(D−乳酸)、構造単位がL−乳酸であるポリ(L−乳酸)、L−乳酸とD−乳酸との共重合体であるポリ(DL−乳酸)、又はこれらの混合物である。
本発明において相溶性樹脂(C)は、前記樹脂(A)と樹脂(B)とを相溶化させる樹脂を主成分としてなる。相溶性樹脂は、樹脂(A)と樹脂(B)とを相溶化させる樹脂であれば特に限定されないが、下記樹脂(c−1)、樹脂(c−2)、及び樹脂(c−3)からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種の共重合体又は樹脂を用いることが好ましい。
樹脂(c−1):酢酸ビニル、(メタ)アクリル酸、(メタ)アクリル酸エチル、(メタ)アクリル酸メチル、無水マレイン酸、及び(メタ)アクリル酸グリシジルからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種と、エチレンとの共重合体
樹脂(c−2):変性ポリスチレン系樹脂
樹脂(c−3):変性ポリオレフィン系樹脂
本発明において変性ポリスチレン系樹脂とは、スチレン系炭化水素と共役ジエン系炭化水素との共重合体、又はその水素添加誘導体に極性基を導入した樹脂を指す。スチレン系炭化水素としては、例えばスチレンが好適に用いられ、α−メチルスチレン等のスチレン同族体なども用いることができる。また、共役ジエン系炭化水素としては、1,3−ブタジエン、1,2−イソプレン、1,4−イソプレン、1,3−ペンタジエン等が挙げられ、これらは水素添加誘導体であってもよい。これらは単独で、又は2種以上を混合して用いてもよい。
本発明における変性ポリオレフィン系樹脂とは、不飽和カルボン酸又はその無水物、あるいはシラン系カップリング剤で変性されたポリオレフィンを主成分とする樹脂をいう。不飽和カルボン酸又はその無水物としては、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、マレイン酸、無水マレイン酸、シトラコン酸、無水シトラコン酸、イタコン酸、無水イタコン酸あるいはこれらの誘導体のモノエポキシ化合物と前記酸とのエステル化合物、分子内にこれらの酸と反応し得る基を有する重合体と酸との反応生成物などが挙げられる。また、これらの金属塩も使用することができる。これらの中でも、無水マレイン酸がより好ましく用いられる。また、これらの共重合体は、各々単独に、又は2種以上を混合して使用することができる。
本発明のフィルムは、ポリオレフィン系樹脂(A)、ポリ乳酸系樹脂(B)、及び相溶性樹脂(C)の混合樹脂からなる層を中間層とし、その両側にポリ乳酸系樹脂(B)を主成分とする表裏層を設けることができる。樹脂(B)を主成分とする表裏層を設けることで、より透明性、熱収縮特性の良好で自然収縮性の抑制されたフィルムとすることが可能である。
本発明のフィルムは、80℃温水中10秒浸漬したときの熱収縮率が少なくとも一方向において20%以上であることが重要である。
本発明のフィルムは、フィルムの低温収縮性、収縮仕上がり性、透明性、自然収縮等に優れているため、その用途が特に制限されるものではないが、必要に応じて印刷層、蒸着層その他機能層を形成することにより、ボトル(ブローボトル)、トレー、弁当箱、総菜容器、乳製品容器等の様々な成形品として用いることができる。特に本発明のフィルムを食品容器(例えば清涼飲料水用又は食品用のPETボトル、ガラス瓶、好ましくはPETボトル)用熱収縮性ラベル又は成形品として用いる場合、複雑な形状(例えば、中心がくびれた円柱、角のある四角柱、五角柱、六角柱など)であっても該形状に密着可能であり、シワやアバタ等のない美麗なラベル又は成形品が装着された容器が得られる。本発明の成形品及び容器は、通常の成形法を用いることにより作製することができる。
なお、実施例に示す測定値及び評価は次のように行った。実施例では、フィルムの引取り(流れ)方向をMD、その直角方向をTDと記載する。
フィルムをMD100mm、TD100mmの大きさに切り取り、主収縮方向(TD)100mm間隔の標線を付し、80℃の温水浴に10秒間浸漬させ、その後30秒間23℃の冷水に浸漬した後の標線間隔(A)を測定し、下式(1)により収縮率を算出した。

フィルムをMD100mm、TD1000mmの大きさに切り取り、40℃50%RHの雰囲気の恒温槽に7日間放置した後、常温(23℃)下で主収縮方向(TD)について、収縮前の原寸に対する収縮量を測定し、その比率を%値で算出し、下記の基準で評価した。
◎:自然収縮率が6.0%未満である場合
○:自然収縮率が6.0%以上10.0%未満である場合
×:自然収縮率が10.0%以上である場合
JIS K7127に準じて、1号形試験片(全長200mm、幅10mm乃至25mm、標線間距離100mm、掴み具間距離150mmの短冊)における温度0℃、試験速度100mm/分の条件でフィルム主収縮方向と直交する方向(MD)について引張破断伸度を測定した。
◎:引張破断伸度が200%以上
○:引張破断伸度が100%以上200%未満
×:引張破断伸度が100%未満
得られたフィルムの外観を、下記の基準で評価した。
◎:フィルムに斑がほとんどなく、外観が良い。
○:フィルムの斑は多少あるが、実用上問題はない。
×:フィルムの斑が激しく、著しく外観が悪い。
10mm間隔の格子目を印刷したフィルムをMD100mm×TD298mmの大きさに切り取り、TDの両端を10mm重ねてヒートシール機にて熱融着し、円筒状フィルムを作製した。この円筒状フィルムを、容量1.5Lの円筒型ペットボトルに装着し、蒸気加熱方式の長さ3.2m(3ゾーン)の収縮トンネル中を回転させずに、約8秒間で通過させた。各ゾーンでのトンネル内雰囲気温度は、蒸気量を蒸気バルブで調整し、75℃以上95℃以下の範囲とした。フィルム被覆後は下記基準で評価した。
◎:収縮は十分で、装着ラベルにタイト感が十分にある。
○:収縮は十分だが、装着ラベルにタイト感が不足している。
×:収縮が不充分で、装着ラベルが弛んでいる。
表1に示すように、ランダムポリプロピレン樹脂(日本ポリエチレン社製、商品名「ウィンテック WFX4T」、MFR7.0g/10分、以下「A−1」と略称する。):25質量%と、ポリエチレン樹脂(宇部興産社製、商品名「UMERIT 0540F」、MFR4.0g/10分、以下「A−2」と略称する。):40質量%と、水添石油樹脂(荒川化学社製、商品名「アルコンP140」、以下「A−3」と略称する。):15質量%と、ポリ乳酸樹脂(NatureWorks LLC社製、商品名「NatureWorks NW4060D」、L体/D体=88/12、以下「B−1」と略称する。):20質量%とからなる混合樹脂組成物100質量部に対し、エチレン−メタクリル酸−グリシジルメタクリレート共重合体(住友化学社製、商品名「ボンドファースト 7M」、以下「C−1」と略称する。)を5質量部配合してなる樹脂組成物を、東芝機械株式会社製の2軸押出機に投入し、設定温度200℃で溶融混合後、単層Tダイより押出し、50℃のキャストロールで引き取り、冷却固化させて、幅300mm、厚さ200μmの未延伸シートを得た。次いで、京都機械株式会社製フィルムテンターにて、予熱温度80℃、延伸温度73℃で横一軸方向に5.0倍に延伸後、80℃にて熱処理を行い、厚さ40μmの熱収縮性フィルムを得た。
表1に示すように、実施例1において、組成をA−1:60質量%、A−3:25質量%、B−1:15質量%の混合樹脂100質量部に対し、エチレン−メタクリル酸共重合体(三井・デュポンポリケミカル社製、商品名「エルバロイ 1126AC」、MFR0.6g/10分、以下「C−2」と略称する。)を10質量部配合した以外は、実施例1と同様に熱収縮性フィルムを得た。得られたフィルムを評価した結果を表2に示す。
表1に示すように、実施例1において、組成をA−1:20質量%、A−2:20質量%、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体(三井・デュポンポリケミカル社製、商品名「エバフレックス EV560」、エチレン含有率86質量%、MFR3.5g/10分、以下「A−4」と略称する。):35質量%、B−1:25質量%の混合樹脂100質量部に対し、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体(三井・デュポンポリケミカル社製、商品名「エバフレックス EV45LX」、エチレン含有率55質量%、MFR2.5g/10分、以下「C−3」と略称する。)を30質量部配合した以外は、実施例1と同様に熱収縮性フィルムを得た。得られたフィルムを評価した結果を表2に示す。
表1に示すように、実施例1において、A−1:45質量%、A−2:20質量%、A−3:15質量%、B−1:20質量%の混合樹脂100質量部に対し、変性スチレン系樹脂(JSR社製、商品名「ダイナロン 8630P」、以下「C−4」と略称する。)を10質量部配合してなる樹脂組成物を中間層とし、その両側に表裏層としてB−1:50質量%、ポリ乳酸樹脂(NatureWorks LLC社製、商品名「NatureWorks NW4050D」、L体/D体=95/5、以下「B−2」と略称する。):40質量%、アクリル−シリコン系ゴム(三菱レイヨン社製、商品名「メタブレン S2001」、以下「E−1」と略称する。):10質量%からなる混合樹脂を2種3層Tダイより共押出しすることで積層させ、その際の未延伸積層シート時の厚み比を表裏層/中間層/表裏層=30μm:140μm:30μmとした以外は、実施例1と同様に熱収縮性フィルムを得た。得られたフィルムを評価した結果を表2に示す。
表1に示すように、実施例1において、A−1:45質量%、A−4:50質量%、B−1:5質量%からなる混合樹脂100質量部に対し、変性ポリオレフィン樹脂(三菱化学社製、商品名「モディック−AP M545」、以下「C−5」と略称する。)を25質量部配合してなる樹脂を中間層とし、表裏層としてB−1:80質量%、E−1:20質量%からなる混合樹脂、接着層として変性スチレン系熱可塑性樹脂(旭化成ケミカルズ社製、商品名「タフテック M1943」、スチレン含有率20質量%、以下「D−1」と略称する。)を用いて3種5層Tダイより共押出し、未延伸積層シート時の厚み比を表裏層/接着層/中間層/接着層/表裏層=30μm/10μm/120μm/10μm/30μmとした以外は、実施例1と同様に熱収縮性フィルムを得た。得られたフィルムを評価した結果を表2に示す。
表1に示すように、実施例1と同組成の層を中間層とし、表裏層としてB−1:70質量%、B−2:30質量%の混合樹脂とし、接着層として変性ポリオレフィン樹脂(三井化学社製、商品名「アドマー SE800」、MFR4.4g/10分、以下「D−2」と略称する。)を用いて3種5層Tダイより共押出し、未延伸積層シート時の厚み比を表裏層/接着層/中間層/接着層/表裏層=50μm/10μm/80μm/10μm/50μmとした以外は、実施例1と同様に熱収縮性フィルムを得た。得られたフィルムを評価した結果を表2に示す。
表1に示すように、実施例6と同組成の層を中間層とし、表裏層としてB−1:80質量%、メタクリル酸メチル樹脂(住友化学社製、商品名「スミペックス LG21」、以下「E−2」と略称する。):20質量%の混合樹脂とした以外は、実施例6と同様に熱収縮性フィルムを得た。得られたフィルムを評価した結果を表2に示す。
表1に示すように、実施例1において、組成をA−1:50質量%、A−4:30質量%、B−1:20質量%、C−1:5質量部とした以外は、実施例1と同様に熱収縮性フィルムを得た。得られたフィルムを評価した結果を表2に示す。
表1に示すように、実施例1において、組成をA−1:45質量%、A−2:40質量%、A−3:15質量%に変更し、樹脂(B)及び樹脂(C)を含まないようにした以外は、実施例1と同様に熱収縮性フィルムを得た。得られたフィルムを評価した結果を表2に示す。
表1に示すように、実施例1において、組成をA−1:10質量%、A−2:25質量%、A−3:15質量%、B−1:50質量%の混合樹脂100質量部に対し、C−1を5質量部配合した以外は、実施例1と同様に熱収縮性フィルムをようとしたところ、シートの厚み斑が大きく、延伸時に破断してしまった。
表1に示すように、実施例1において、組成をA−1:45質量%に変更し、樹脂(B)を含まないようにした以外は、実施例1と同様に熱収縮性フィルムを得た。得られたフィルムを評価した結果を表2に示す。
表1に示すように、実施例1において、組成をA−1:35質量%、A−2:45質量%、B−1:20質量%とし、樹脂(C)を含まないようにした以外は、実施例1と同様に熱収縮性フィルムを得た。得られたフィルムを評価した結果を表2に示す。
これに対し、樹脂(B)及び/又は樹脂(C)を含まない場合(比較例1、3及び4)、フィルム外観、熱収縮性、収縮仕上がり性、溶剤シール性、又は自然収縮のいずれかが本発明よりも劣っていた。また樹脂(A)の質量比が70質量%未満である場合(比較例2)には延伸時にフィルムが破断して熱収縮性フィルムが得られなかった。
これより、本発明のフィルムは、熱収縮性、収縮仕上がり性、に優れ、かつ自然収縮の抑制された収縮包装、収縮結束包装や熱収縮性ラベル等の用途に適した熱収縮性フィルムであることが分かる。
Claims (11)
- ポリオレフィン系樹脂(A)、ポリ乳酸系樹脂(B)、並びに前記樹脂(A)と前記樹脂(B)との相溶化を促進させる、前記樹脂(A)及び前記樹脂(B)とは異なる樹脂(C)を主成分とし、前記樹脂(A)と樹脂(B)との質量比が(A)/(B)=99/1〜70/30である混合樹脂からなり、又はこの混合樹脂層を少なくとも1層有し、80℃の温水中に10秒間浸漬したときの少なくとも一方向における熱収縮率が20%以上であり、40℃50%RH環境下で7日間保管した際の自然収縮率が10%未満であることを特徴とするポリオレフィン系熱収縮性フィルム。
- 前記樹脂(C)が下記樹脂(c−1)、樹脂(c−2)、及び樹脂(c−3)からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種類である請求項1に記載のポリオレフィン系熱収縮性フィルム。
樹脂(c−1):酢酸ビニル、アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、アクリル酸エチル、メタクリル酸エチル、アクリル酸メチル、メタクリル酸メチル、無水マレイン酸、アクリル酸グリシジル、及び、メタクリル酸グリシジルからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種と、エチレンとの共重合体
樹脂(c−2):変性ポリスチレン系樹脂
樹脂(c−3):変性ポリオレフィン系樹脂 - 前記樹脂(C)の含有量が、前記樹脂(A)と前記樹脂(B)との混合樹脂100質量部に対し、1質量部以上30質量部以下である請求項1又は2に記載のポリオレフィン系熱収縮性フィルム。
- 前記樹脂(A)がポリエチレン系樹脂、ポリプロピレン系樹脂、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体、又はこれらの混合物である請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のポリオレフィン系熱収縮性フィルム。
- 前記樹脂(A)が炭化水素樹脂類を含有する混合樹脂である請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のポリオレフィン系熱収縮性フィルム。
- 前記樹脂(A)、樹脂(B)及び樹脂(C)を主成分とする混合樹脂層の両側に前記樹脂(B)を主成分とする表裏層を有する請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のポリオレフィン系熱収縮性フィルム。
- 前記混合樹脂層と前記表裏層との間に接着性樹脂からなる接着層を有する請求項6に記載のポリオレフィン系熱収縮性フィルム。
- フィルム全体に対する前記表裏層合計の厚み比が10%以上70%以下である請求項6又は7に記載のポリオレフィン系熱収縮性フィルム。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載のポリオレフィン系熱収縮性フィルムを基材として用いた成形品。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載のポリオレフィン系熱収縮性フィルムを基材として用いた熱収縮性ラベル。
- 請求項9に記載の成形品又は請求項10に記載の熱収縮性ラベルを装着した容器。
