Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the titled resin compsn. giving a film which has excellent mechanical strength and is suitable for shrink wrapping, by blending a specified surface-treated inorg. material and a chemically modified polyolefin with a polyolefin resin. CONSTITUTION:40-80wt% Polyolefin resin (A) such as polyethylene or polypropylene is mixed with 60-20wt% inorg. material (B) (e.g. calcium carbonte or aluminum oxide) having a surface treated with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof (e.g., acrylic acid or crotonamide). Then 1-5pts.wt. chemically modified polyolefin (C) [obtd. by chemically modifying a polyolefin with a liquid rubber (e.g., hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene) and an unsaturated carboxylic acid (or its derivative)], is mixed with 100pts.wt. above blend to produce the desired resin compsn. for heat-shrinkable film.
