Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a sheet material having an enhanced oxygen absorption effect by a method wherein a deoxidation agent consisting of active iron oxide is blended with a foaming resin, is formed into a sheet, and is foamed.
CONSTITUTION: Active iron oxide 3, polyethylene powder, and foaming agent are mixed. The mixture is foramed 2 using an extruder thereby to provide an oxygen absorption sheet 4. The oxygen absorption sheet 4 is inserted into a package-bag of a laminated film consisting of a vinylidene-coated polyamide film laminated with polyethylene, is perfectly sealed, and stored. In this manner, a good oxygen absorption effect is effected.
