Description

本技術分野は、一般に、基板に塗布するための被覆組成物に関し、より詳細には、高転写効率塗布器を利用して基板に塗布するための被覆組成物に関する。
Ohは10^(−0.5006*log(Re)+1.2135)以下 (式V)
及び
Ohは少なくとも0^(−0.5435*log(Re)−1.0324) (式VI)

マルチパス印刷が好ましい。厳密にワンパスは可視欠陥をもたらすことになる。マルチパスは本質的により遅い印刷プロセスと考えることができるが、単一パス方式で印刷された2又は3以上の互い違いに配置されたプリントヘッドを用いて擬マルチパスプロセスについて考えることができる。このようなプロセス(並びに真のマルチパス)は、より多くの塗料を堆積させることによって構築されたフィルムを増加させる許容度、又は代替として他の利点を有することができるより小さな液滴の噴射を呈することができる。
垂直面への印刷。噴射のための低粘度要件のために、被覆調合に剪断薄化を与える垂直面への印刷を可能にする通常の手法は、可能でない場合がある。考慮することができる代替の手法は、以下を含む:
A.2つのプリントヘッド噴射:基板10の上に塗料を堆積させるように高転写効率塗布器に加えて、第2の高転写効率塗布器を用いてある種の「活性化因子」を堆積させる。基板10上の塗料と接触/混合するときこの活性化因子は、塗料を厚くさせ、これによりたるみ/低迷を抑制する。このような活性化因子の実施例は、pH又は溶解力変化を誘導する可能性がある。
B.温度変化:高転写効率塗布器中の塗料は高温にあるが、噴射後、温度は、基板10上に堆積する前に、周囲条件並びに溶媒蒸発の両方により低下する。
層状ケイ酸塩レオロジー制御剤は、水と商品名Laponite RDでAltanaから商業的に入手可能な溶液と類似のポリプロピレングリコールの溶液に提供される。
アルカリ膨潤性エマルジョン増粘剤は、商品名Rheovis AS1130でBASFから商業的に入手可能な溶液と類似の10%水の溶液として提供される。
ポリエステルポリウレタン分散Iは、ドイツレーバークゼンのCovestro AGから商業的に入手可能な商品名Bayhydrol(登録商標)U 241を有するポリエステルポリウレタンポリマーである。
スチレンアクリルラテックス分散は、2ステップエマルジョン重合プロセスによって形成される。
ポリエステルポリウレタン分散IIは、線状ポリエステルジオール樹脂(モノマー1,6−ヘキサンジオール、アジピン酸、及びイソフタル酸)及びイソホロンジイソシアネートから形成されたポリウレタン分散樹脂である。このポリエステルポリウレタンポリマーは、約30,000の重量平均分子量、約35重量%の固形分、及び約250ナノメートルの粒度を有する。
ポリエステルポリウレタン分散IIIは、線状ポリカーボネートポリエステル及びイソホロンジイソシアネートから形成されたポリウレタン分散樹脂である。このポリエステルポリウレタンポリマーは、約75,000の重量平均分子量、約35重量%の固形分、及び約180ナノメートルの粒度を有する。
メラミンホルムアルデヒド樹脂は、商品名Gymel 303でAllnexから商業的に入手可能なヘキサ(メトキシメチル)メラミン(HMMM)と類似している。
微粉タルク体質顔料の分散は、商品名Mistron MonomixでImerysから商業的に入手可能な体質顔料と類似している。
微粉硫酸バリウム体質顔料の分散は、商品名Blanc FixeFでHuntsmanから商業的に入手可能な体質顔料と類似している。
非晶質カーボンブラック顔料の分散は、商品名Raven 5000 Ultra IIでBirla Carbonから商業的に入手可能なカーボンブラック顔料と類似している。
インダントロンブルー60顔料の分散は、商品名Monolite Blue 3RX HでHeucotechから商業的に入手可能な体質顔料と類似している。
1,2−クロム錯体黒色染料の溶液は、商品名Orasol Black X55でBASFから商業的に入手可能な体質顔料と類似している。
従来のブラックモノコートは、商品名ChromaDyne(商標)でAxalta Coating Systemsから商業的に入手可能なブラックモノコートと類似している。

Claims (18)
- 第1の被覆組成物、第2の被覆組成物、及び第3の被覆組成物を塗布するためのシステムであって、
第1のノズルオリフィスを定める第1のノズルを含む第1の高転写効率塗布器と、
第2のノズルオリフィスを定める第2のノズルを含む第2の高転写効率塗布器と、
第3のノズルオリフィスを定める第3のノズルを含む第3の高転写効率塗布器と、
前記第1の高転写効率塗布器と流体連通状態にあり、且つ前記第1の被覆組成物を含有するように構成された第1のリザーバと、
前記第2の高転写効率塗布器と流体連通状態にあり、且つ前記第2の被覆組成物を含有するように構成された第2のリザーバと、
前記第3の高転写効率塗布器と流体連通状態にあり、且つ前記第3の被覆組成物を含有するように構成された第3のリザーバと、
標的区域を定める基板と、
前記第1の高転写効率塗布器は、前記第1のリザーバから前記第1の被覆組成物を受け取るように構成され、前記第1のノズルオリフィスを通って前記基板の標的区域に前記第1の被覆組成物を放出するよう構成され、
前記第2の高転写効率塗布器は、前記第2のリザーバから前記第2の被覆組成物を受け取るように構成され、前記第2のノズルオリフィスを通って前記基板の標的区域に前記第2の被覆組成物を放出するように構成され、

ことを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記第1の被覆組成物は第1の色空間を示し、前記第2の被覆組成物は第2の色空間を示し、及び前記第3の被覆組成物は第3の色空間を示す、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の色空間はCMYK色モデルによるシアン色空間を含み、前記第2の色空間はCMYK色モデルによるマゼンタ色空間を含み、及び前記第3の色空間はCMYK色モデルによるイエロー色空間を含む、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の色空間はRGB色モデルによるレッド色空間を含み、前記第2の色空間はRGB色モデルによるグリーン色空間を含み、及び前記第3の色空間はRGB色モデルによるブルー色空間を含む、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の被覆組成物、前記第2の被覆組成物、及び前記第3の被覆組成物のうちの1又は2以上は、前記第1の色空間、前記第2の色空間、及び前記第3の色空間と異なる色空間を生成するために、別の前記第1の被覆組成物、前記第2の被覆組成物、及び前記第3の被覆組成物上に放出される、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記標的区域は複数の下部区域を定め、前記第1の高転写効率塗布器、前記第2の高転写効率塗布器、及び前記第3の高転写効率塗布器のうちの1又は2以上は、前記第1の被覆組成物、前記第2の被覆組成物、及び前記第3の被覆組成物のうちの1又は2以上を前記複数の下部区域のうちの1又は2以上に放出して、前記第1の色空間、前記第2の色空間、及び前記第3の色空間のうちの1又は2以上の色空間のハーフトーンパターンを生成する、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の高転写効率塗布器は、複数の第1のノズルを含み、該第1のノズルの各々が前記第1のノズルオリフィスを定め、前記第2の高転写効率塗布器は、複数の第2のノズルを含み、該第2のノズルの各々が前記第2のノズルオリフィスを定め、前記第3の高転写効率塗布器は、複数の第3のノズルを含み、該第3のノズルの各々が前記第3のノズルオリフィスを定め、前記第1の高転写効率塗布器は、互いに独立した前記第1のノズルオリフィスの各々を通って前記第1の被覆組成物を放出するように構成され、前記第2の高転写効率塗布器は、互いに独立した前記第2のノズルオリフィスの各々を通って前記第2の被覆組成物を放出するように構成され、前記第3の高転写効率塗布器は、互いに独立した前記第3のノズルオリフィスの各々を通って前記第3の被覆組成物を放出するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記基板が、第1の端部及び第2の端部を含み、前記第1の端部及び前記第2の端部の間に前記基板の標的区域が配置され、前記第1の高転写効率塗布器、前記第2の高転写効率塗布器、及び前記第3の高転写効率塗布器が、前記第1の端部から前記第2の端部に移動するよう構成されており、前記第1の高転写効率塗布器、前記第2の高転写効率塗布器、及び前記第3の高転写効率塗布器が、前記第1の端部から前記第2の端部まで単一パスに沿って前記第1のノズルオリフィス、前記第2のノズルオリフィス、及び第3のノズルオリフィスを通って前記第1の被覆組成物、前記第2の被覆組成物、及び第3の被覆組成物を放出するように構成されている、請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の端部と前記第2の端部との間に延びる経路が定められ、前記第1の高転写効率塗布器、前記第2の高転写効率塗布器、及び前記第3の高転写効率塗布器は、前記経路に沿って移動するように構成され、前記第1の高転写効率塗布器、前記第2の高転写効率塗布器、及び前記第3の高転写効率塗布器は、前記経路に沿って単一パス中に前記第1のノズルオリフィス、前記第2のノズルオリフィス、及び第3のノズルオリフィスを通って前記第1の被覆組成物、前記第2の被覆組成物、及び第3の被覆組成物を放出するように構成される、請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の高転写効率塗布器、前記第2の高転写効率塗布器、及び前記第3の高転写効率塗布器は、共に結合される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の高転写効率塗布器、前記第2の高転写効率塗布器、及び前記第3の高転写効率塗布器が協働して、単体構成要素である高転写効率塗布器組立体を形成する、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 1又は2以上の追加の高転写効率塗布器を更に備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 第1の高転写効率塗布器、第2の高転写効率塗布器及び第3の高転写効率塗布器を利用して第1の被覆組成物、第2の被覆組成物、及び第3の被覆組成物を塗布する方法であって、
前記第1の高転写効率塗布器が、第1のノズルオリフィスを定める第1のノズルを含み、前記第2の高転写効率塗布器が、第2のノズルオリフィスを定める第2のノズルを含み、及び第3の高転写効率塗布器が、第3のノズルオリフィスを定める第3のノズルを含み、
前記方法が、
標的区域を定める基板を提供するステップと、
前記第1のノズルオリフィスを通って前記基板の標的区域に前記第1の被覆組成物を塗布するステップと、
前記第2のノズルオリフィスを通って前記基板の標的区域に前記第2の被覆組成物を塗布するステップと、
前記第3のノズルオリフィスを通って前記基板の標的区域に前記第3の被覆組成物を塗布するステップと、
を含む、方法。 - 前記第1の被覆組成物は第1の色空間を示し、前記第2の被覆組成物は第2の色空間を示し、及び前記第3の被覆組成物は第3の色空間を示す、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の色空間はCMYK色モデルによるシアン色空間を含み、前記第2の色空間はCMYK色モデルによるマゼンタ色空間を含み、及び前記第3の色空間はCMYK色モデルによるイエロー色空間を含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
