Abstract
【解決手段】ベゼル310は、ハウジング110と同一平面に固定され、携帯電子装置のケース100の一部を形成する。ベゼルから延びる壁を収容するためのスロットを含むブレース210は、ハウジングに固定される。ベゼルがハウジングに係合する時、ベゼルの壁は、ブレースのスロット内に挿入され、ブレースと壁114との両方に係合するバネ410により解除可能に保持される。ベゼルは、バネを解除することにより解放することができる。ベゼルは、冷間加工ステンレス鋼から製造されるため、硬質であり衝撃に耐性を有する。冷間加工鋼は、更に、設計上の制約及び許容範囲内での製造を容易にすると共に、こうした制約を満たすために製造後に必要となる機械加工が非常に少ない。

- 携帯電子装置のケースであって、
底部ハウジングと
前記底部ハウジングに結合するように構成され且つスロットを含むブレースと、
前記スロット内へ延びるように構成された取り付け部を有するベゼルと、
前記取り付け部と共に前記スロット内に配置されるように構成され且つ前記ブレース及び前記ベゼルと同時に係合するように構成されたバネと、を備えるケース。 - 前記取り付け部は、前記バネと解除可能に係合するように構成された少なくとも一つの係合部材を含む、請求項1記載のケース。
- 前記ブレースは、前記バネと解放可能に係合するために、少なくとも一つのリップを含む、請求項1記載のケース。
- 前記ブレース、バネ、及びベゼルは、前記ベゼルを前記ブレースに固定する留め具を受け入れるために整合するように構成された開口部を含む、請求項1記載のケース。
- 前記ベゼルは、前記バネを前記係合部材から解放することにより前記ブレースから解放される、請求項1記載のケース。
- 前記バネは、前記バネに磁力を加えることにより前記係合部材を解放し得る、請求項5記載のケース。
- 前記底部ハウジング及びブレースは、同一平面となるように構成される、請求項1記載のケース。

- 前記基部構造と前記取り付け部とを製造するステップは、鋳造、機械加工、圧延、及びフライス加工の少なくとも一つを使用して前記基部構造と前記取り付け部とを製造するステップを含む、請求項25記載の方法。
