Abstract

Description
本発明は、膜を通って血液を流しつつ、血栓が心耳に残るのを防止するために、心臓の心房と付随した心耳との間で血液を濾過するべく、心耳の小孔にまたはそこを横切って適用される膜構造体に関する。
心臓に様々な悪影響を与える多数の心臓病(例えば、冠状動脈疾患、僧帽弁疾患)がある。ある種の心臓病の悪影響(例えば、僧帽弁疾患)には、心房(または心耳)の細動がある。心房に細動があると、左心耳に血液が貯留され得る。血液の貯留は、自然に起こることもある。血液が心耳に貯留すると、その中で血餅が形成されて、蓄積し、次々に積み上げられて、心耳から心房へと増殖し得る。これらの血餅は、次いで、体循環または肺循環に入り得、もし、心耳から移動し血流中に遊離して動脈系へと遠位に塞栓形成するなら、重大な問題を引き起こし得る。心耳から心房へと伸びている血餅が壊れて血液供給に入るときにも、類似の問題が起こる。左心房および左心室からの血液は、心臓や脳に供給されるので、心耳からの血餅は、その中での血流を遮断し得、心臓麻痺、脳卒中または他の臓器の虚血を引き起こす。従って、心耳で血餅が形成されるのを防止し、かつ一旦形成されると、これらの血餅が心耳から離れて心臓、肺、脳または患者の他の循環に入る(これは、心臓麻痺または脳卒中または他の臓器の虚血を引き起こし得る)のを防止する手段を見つける必要がある。
