Abstract
【解決手段】導電剤、バインダー及びカソード活物質を含むカソード活物質組成物が集電体の一面上に形成され、カソード活物質がリチウム金属を基準に、開放電位が3V以上である第1リチウム化合物と、3V未満である第2リチウム化合物とを含有し、第2リチウム化合物が金属酸化物コーティング層を含むことを特徴とするカソード。該カソードは電気的特徴が改善されるので、リチウム電池などに有用に使用できる。

- 導電剤、バインダー及びカソード活物質を含むカソード活物質組成物が集電体の一面上に形成され、
前記カソード活物質がリチウム金属を基準に、開放電位が3V以上である第1リチウム化合物と、3V未満である第2リチウム化合物とを含有し、前記第2リチウム化合物が金属酸化物コーティング層を含むことを特徴とするカソード。 - 前記金属酸化物は、下記化学式1ないし4の化合物のうち選択された一つ以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカソード:

Mは、Al、Ga、Ge、Mg、Nb、Zn、Cd、Ti、Co、Ni、K、Na、Ca、Si、Fe、Cu、Sn、V、B、P、Se、Bi、As、Zr、Mn、Cr、Sr、V、Sc、Y、希土類元素及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択された一つ以上を表す。 - 前記M’’’は、Al、Mg及びZnからなる群から選択された一つ以上であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のカソード。
- 前記化学式5の化合物は、層状構造を持つことを特徴とする請求項4に記載のカソード。
- 前記化学式5の化合物は炭素をさらに含み、その含有量が前記化学式5の化合物全体重量に対して約0.1ないし5重量%であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のカソード。
- 前記第1リチウム化合物は、Co、Ni及びMnからなる群から一つ以上選択される金属元素を含有するリチウム金属化合物であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカソード。
- 前記第1及び第2リチウム化合物の混合比は、第2リチウム化合物/第1リチウム化合物が約0.01ないし約0.3重量比であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカソード。
- 請求項1ないし9のうちいずれか1項に記載のカソードと、
アノードと、
有機電解液と、を含むことを特徴とするリチウム電池。
