Abstract
【解決手段】ワークピースは少なくとも二つの部分(7、8)からなり、おそらく熱可塑材から形成され、レーザービーム(11)によって接合部分(10)で互いに溶接される。二つの部分(7、8)は少なくとも部分的にレーザービーム(11)のスペクトルに対して互いに異なる透過及び吸収係数を有している。第一部分(8)は、レーザービーム(11)が第一部分(8)に接触する第一結合部分(12)から接合部分(10)までレーザービーム(11)を少なくとも部分的に透過するようになされ、それによりレーザービーム(11)の一部は第一部分(8)を貫通し、第二部分(7)の第二結合部分(13)に侵入可能である。接合部分(10)の第二結合部分(13)の領域において第二部分(7)は少なくとも部分的にレーザービーム(11)を吸収する。

Description
本発明は、レーザービームは、レーザービーム源に最も近い位置で、実質上、妨げられることなく第一ワークピース部を通過し、第二ワークピース部にかなり吸収され、それにより接合部分において二つのワークピース部が溶融されるという概念に基づく。この目的で、第一ワークピース部は少なくともレーザービームが接触した部分において、かなりレーザービームを透過するようになされ、第二ワークピース部は適切な割合で添加剤を添加することによって、かなりレーザービームを吸収するようになされる。このため、第一ワークピース部は第二ワークピース部と比べて高い透過係数及び低い吸収係数を有する。即ち第一ワークピース部は第二ワークピース部よりも透過係数が高く、第二ワークピース部は第一ワークピース部よりも吸収係数が高い。しかしながら、ワークピース部は両方とも添加剤を含むので、人間の目の可視範囲の光線に対して不透過性を有し、それにより実質上、均一な印象を与えるという利点がある。溶接後、個々のワークピース部は実質上、視覚による識別が不可能である。
特に、第二ワークピース部は、レーザービームが第二ワークピース部をわずかにしか透過できないように表面で吸収するようになされることができる。従って、低いレーザー出力でさえ、溶接時、よい結果が得られる。二つのワークピース部の透過係数は透過の程度を示し、吸収係数は吸収の程度を示しているが、これらはプラスチックに例えば顔料の添加剤を加えることによって調節可能である。第一ワークピース部が60%以上の透過率T、30%以下の吸収率Aに調節され、第二ワークピース部が90%以上の吸収率A、特にごくわずかな透過率Tに調節されると好都合であることが発見された。
本発明による方法でレーザービームによってワークピース部を溶接するための装置の概略が図1に示されている。装置はレーザービーム源1、例えばNd:YAGレーザー、光システム3に可撓性光ガイド2によって接続されている光の出口を備え、その結果、レーザービーム源1は所望の空間位置に設けることができる。光システム3はワークピースホルダ4上に設けられ、例えば図1の方向矢印5によって示されているように駆動装置による制御装置によって移動可能である。当然、光システム3を可動に設計することもできる。

各結合部分12、13で反射されるレーザービーム11の割合は、接合部分10の加熱にあまり影響がないので、プラスチックを調節することによって、できるだけ少なくしておく必要があることも強調しておかなければならない。

Claims (10)
- ワークピース、特に電気スイッチのハウジング(6)であって、接合部分(10)に沿ってレーザービーム(11)により溶接される、プラスチック、好ましくは熱可塑材からなる二つのワークピース部(7、8)が設けられ、二つのワークピース部(7、8)はレーザービーム(11)のスペクトルに対して、少なくとも小区域において、互いに異なる透過係数及び吸収係数を有し、第一ワークピース部(8)は第一結合部分(12)の領域においてレーザービーム(11)を少なくとも部分的に透過するようになされ、レーザービーム(11)は第一ワークピース部(8)の接合部分(10)に侵入し、それによりレーザービーム(11)の一部が第一ワークピース部(8)を貫通し、第二結合部分(13)で第二ワークピース部(7)に侵入し、さらに、第二ワークピース部(7)は接合部分(10)の第二結合部分(13)の領域においてレーザービーム(11)を少なくとも部分的に吸収するようになされているワークピース。
- 第二ワークピース部(7)が第二結合部分(13)の表面で吸収するようになされ及び/又はレーザービーム(11)の波長が、レーザービーム(11)が第二ワークピース部(7)にわずかに、好ましくは数ミクロンのみ侵入するように選択される請求項1記載のワークピース。
- 二つのワークピース部(7、8)が同じプラスチック、例えばスチレン−アクリロニトリル共重合体、ポリアミド等からなり、第一ワークピース部(8)の透過係数及び第二ワークピース部(7)の吸収係数は好ましくはプラスチックにおけるガラス繊維、顔料、特に黒の顔料等の添加剤の割合によって調節され、特に吸収プラスチックの場合、1%〜2%の染料で着色を行い、透過プラスチックの場合、より低い率の着色を行うか、おそらく着色を行わないで、さらに両方のワークピース部(7、8)のプラスチックは実質上、可視光線のスペクトルを透過しないことが好適である請求項1又は2記載のワークピース。
- ワークピース(7、8)の結合部分(12、13)に接触するレーザービーム(11)に関して各々、第一ワークピース部(8)が60%以上の透過率T、30%以下の吸収率A、必要な場合、20%以下の反射率Rを有し、第二ワークピース部(7)が90%以上の吸収率A、特にごくわずかな透過率T、必要な場合、10%以下の反射率Rを有している請求項1、2又は3記載のワークピース。
- 接続するべきワークピース部(7、8)は接合部分(10)において、重なりジョイント(9)、必要な場合はくさび形状の重なりジョイント(18)、溝状の重なりジョイント(23)、ショルダ状の重なりジョイント(9、19、21、22)、隣接重なりジョイント(17)等を備え、接合部分(10)は好ましくはワークピース部(7、8)の接続に沿って三次元空間に設けられ、さらに接合部分(10)の一部がワークピースの内部に位置することが好都合である請求項1から4のいずれかに記載のワークピース。
- 内側の空胴(27)の少なくとも一部によって画定されている壁(26)が二つのワークピース部(7、8)に設けられ、好ましくは接合部分(10)が個々の区分(28)からなり、該区分は壁(26)の角、空胴(27)の貫通部分等の領域に設けられ、互いに隣接している壁(26)の接続表面に沿って連続し、さらに、個々の区分(28)の間で壁(26)が互いにスナップ接続(29)、シール溝(24)等で重なり合うことによって、特にほこりから空胴(27)をシールすることが好適である請求項1から5のいずれかに記載のワークピース。
- プラスチック、好ましくは熱可塑材からなる、請求項1から6のいずれかに記載のワークピース部(7、8)、特に電気スイッチのハウジング部等をレーザービーム(11)によって溶接する方法であって、第一透過ワークピース部(8)及び第二吸収ワークピース部(7)を互いに接合部分(10)によって接続し、ワークピースを形成し、レーザービーム(11)が最初に第一結合部分(12)で第一ワークピース部(8)に当たるように、二つのワークピース部(7、8)及びレーザービーム源(1)を光システム(3)によって互いに相対的に位置づけ、それによりレーザービーム(11)の一部は第一ワークピース部(8)を貫通し、レーザービーム(11)のこの部分は次に第二ワークピース部(7)の接合部分(10)の第二結合部分(13)の領域に侵入し、それにより第二ワークピース部(7)は第二結合部分(13)の領域が加熱され、その結果、二つのワークピース部(7、8)は接合部分(10)において溶融状態になり、次の冷却時、接合部分(10)は固化され、二つのワークピース部(7、8)は各々、添加剤、特に顔料を含み、第一ワークピース部(8)が第一結合部分(12)から接合部分(10)までの領域において、少なくとも部分的にレーザービーム(11)のスペクトルを透過するように、添加剤の割合を変えることによってワークピース部(7、8)は調節され、第二ワークピース部(7)は第二結合部分(13)の領域において、少なくとも部分的にレーザービーム(11)のスペクトルを吸収し、可視光線のスペクトルに対する二つのワークピース部(7、8)の反射率は実質上、同じである方法。
- 二つのワークピース部(7、8)で第一結合部分(12)及び第二結合部分(13)が実質上、レーザービーム(11)によって形成されている直線上に、特に該線に対してほぼ垂直に位置するように、光システム(3)によってレーザービーム(11)が向けられるようにレーザービーム源(1)が位置し、細長い接合部分(10)が形成され、任意に配向可能で、ワークピースにおいて三次元空間に個々の位置で区分状(28)に設けられるように、レーザービーム源(1)もしくはレーザービーム源(1)の光システム(3)及びワークピース部(7、8)が好ましくは互いに相対的に、特にロボット、多軸取扱装置等のようなプログラム可能な動きで移動する請求項7記載のワークピース部の溶接方法。
- レーザービーム(11)による接合部分(10)の加熱及び溶融時、又はその後、圧力が接合部分(10)の領域に、特に接合部分(10)の冷却まで作用され、好ましくは圧力はレーザービーム(11)の焦点に沿って、特にレーザービーム(11)を追跡し又はレーザービーム(11)の経路の外側でワークピース部(7、8)に作用し、好ましくは水圧、空気圧、ローラ状(16)その他のレーザービーム(11)を透過することができる押え装置によって圧力作用がもたらされる請求項7又は8記載のワークピース部の溶接方法。
- レーザービーム源(1)、好ましくはNd:YAGレーザーの操作パラメータが接合部分(10)における温度、圧力等の工程パラメータの関数として自動制御され、ワークピースが好ましくは溶接後、焼鈍されることによって溶接応力が軽減される請求項7、8又は9記載のワークピース部の溶接方法。
