Description
- Die Erfindung betrifft Schmierfettzusammensetzungen, die eine Grundölmischung auf der Basis von Ölen mit für Industrieschmierstoffe üblichen Viskositäten (ISO VG 2 bis ISO VG 1500), eine Ionische Flüssigkeit, ein Verdickungsmittel z.B. auf der Basis einer Polyharnstoffverbindung sowie übliche Additive aufweisen, die sowohl bei gängigen Gebrauchstemperaturen von mehr als 120°C bis 260°C im besonderen bei einer Gebrauchstemperatur im Bereich von mehr als 180°C bis 260°C als auch bei tiefen Temperaturen bis -60°C einsetzbar sind. Die Erfindung betrifft auch ein Verfahren zur Herstellung derartiger Schmierfettzusammensetzungen.
- Die Entwicklung von neuen Schmierstoffen muß mit der allgemeinen Weiterentwicklung der Technik einhergehen, die neue und höhere Anforderungen an die Schmierstoffzusammensetzungen stellt. Diesen Anforderungen sind die bekannten Schmierstoffzusammensetzungen auf der Basis von Mineralöl und/oder Syntheseöl nicht mehr gewachsen.
- Anwendung finden Schmierstoffe in der Fahrzeugtechnik, Fördertechnik, dem Maschinenbau, der Bürotechnik sowie in industriellen Anlagen und Maschinen, aber auch in den Bereichen der Haushaltsmaschinen und der Unterhaltungselektronik.
- In Wälz- und Gleitlagern sorgen Schmierstoffe dafür, daß zwischen aufeinander gleitenden oder abrollenden Teilen ein trennender, lastübertragender Schmierfilm aufgebaut wird. Damit wird erreicht, daß die metallischen Oberflächen sich nicht berühren und somit auch kein Verschleiß auftritt. Die Schmierstoffe müssen deshalb hohen Anforderungen genügen. Dazu gehören extreme Betriebsbedingungen, wie sehr hohe oder sehr niedrige Drehzahlen, hohe Temperaturen, die durch hohe Drehzahlen oder durch Fremderwärmung bedingt sind, sehr tiefe Temperaturen, beispielsweise bei Lagern, die in kalter Umgebung arbeiten oder, die bei der Verwendung in der Luft- und Raumfahrt auftreten. Ebenso sollten die modernen Schmierstoffe unter sogenannten Reinraumbedingungen einsetzbar sein, um die Raumverschmutzung durch den Abrieb bzw. den Verbrauch an Schmierstoffen zu vermeiden. Außerdem sollte bei der Anwendung der modernen Schmierstoffe vermieden werden, daß sie verdampfen und damit "verlacken", d.h., daß sie nach kurzer Anwendung fest werden und keine Schmierwirkung mehr zeigen. An Schmierstoffe werden auch besondere Anforderungen bei der Anwendung dahingehend gestellt, daß die Laufflächen der Lager durch geringe Reibung nicht angegriffen werden, die Lagerflächen geräuscharm laufen, sowie langen Laufzeiten ohne Nachschmierung gefordert werden. Auch müssen Schmierstoffe Krafteinwirkungen, wie Fliehkraft, Schwerkraft und Schwingungen widerstehen.
- Wichtige Kenngröße für eine lange Funktionsdauer eines fettgeschmierten Wälzlagers im Hochtemperaturbereich ist neben der oberen Gebrauchstemperatur gemäß DIN 51825 das Geräuschverhalten des Schmierstoffes. Ein Schmierfett kann bei Umlaufteilnahme (Überrollung, Walkung) Schwingungen im Wälzlager anregen, die als "Schmierstoffgeräusche" in den Frequenzbändern Medium 300 bis 1.800 Hz und High 1.800 bis 10.000 Hz, gegenüber den Lagergeräuschen im Frequenzband Low bei 50 bis 300 Hz liegen. Das Schmierstoffgeräusch wird von den Geräuschspitzen überlagert, die bei der Überrollung von harten Partikeln durch die Wälzkörper in Form von Stoßimpulsen auf dem Lagerring entstehen. Die Bewertung des Geräuschverhaltens erfolgt nach der SKF-Bequiet-Methode, die auf der statistischen Auswertung der Geräuschspitzen und dem Zuordnen zu den Geräuschklassen BQ1 bis BQ4 basiert. Mit steigenden Werten der Geräuschklasse verschlechtert sich das Geräuschverhalten und die Lebensdauer der Wälzlagerung (H. Werries, E. Paland, FVA-Studie zum Thema "Geräuscharme Schmierfette", Universität Hannover 1994). So charakterisieren 100% Geräuschklasse BQ1 sehr gutes Geräuschverhalten und niedrige Prozentwerte ausschließlich in Geräuschklasse BQ4 sehr schlechtes Geräuschverhalten.
- Je besser das Geräuschverhalten eines Schmierfettes, desto geringer sind die durch den Schmierstoff erzwungenen Schwingungen des Lagers. Dies ist gleichbedeutend mit einer geringen Belastung des Lagers und führt zu einer längeren Funktionsdauer der Lagerung.
- Die Verwendung von Ionischen Flüssigkeiten, im weiteren auch als IL (= lonic Liquid) bezeichnet, in der Schmiertechnik ist in den letzten Jahren intensiv untersucht worden, da sich durch die Modifikation der Kationen oder Anionen ein breites Anwendungsspektrum anbieten könnte. Ionische Flüssigkeiten sind sogenannte Salzschmelzen, die vorzugsweise bei Raumtemperatur flüssig sind oder per Definition einen Schmelzpunkt <100°C besitzen. Bekannte Kation/Anion-Kombinationen, die zu Ionischen Flüssigkeiten führen, sind z.B. Dialkylimidazolium, Pyridinium, Ammonium und Phosphonium etc. mit organischen Anionen, wie Sulfonaten, Imiden, Methiden etc. als auch anorganischen Anionen, wie Halogeniden und Phosphaten, usw., wobei auch jede weitere Kombination von Kationen und Anionen denkbar ist, mit der ein niedriger Schmelzpunkt erreicht werden kann. Ionische Flüssigkeiten besitzen in Abhängigkeit von ihrem chemischen Aufbau einen extrem niedrigen Dampfdruck, sind nicht brennbar und häufig bis über 260°C thermisch stabil und darüber hinaus auch noch schmierfähig.
- Die
WO 2006/077082 beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Abdichtung rotierender Wellen unter Einsatz von Gleitringdichtungen sowie die Verwendung von Ionischen Flüssigkeiten als Bestandteil der Sperrflüssigkeit für Gleitringdichtungen zur Abdichtung rotierender Wellen. Diese Sperrflüssigkeiten sollen dazu dienen, rotierende Wellen zusätzlich abzudichten. Die bekannten Sperrflüssigkeiten sind Wasser oder Öle, deren Verhalten durch den Einsatz von Ionischen Flüssigkeiten hinsichtlich der Wechselwirkung mit der Umgebung der Maschinen mit hohen Dichtigkeitsanforderungen verbessert werden sollen. - Die
DE 10 2004 033 021 A1 beschreibt die Verwendung von Ionischen Flüssigkeiten alls Hydraulikflüssigkeiten, wobei die Kompressibilität von flüssigen Druckübertragungsmitteln verringert werden soll und somit die Energieübertragungseffizienz hydraulischer Systeme verbessert werden soll. - Aus der
DE 10 2005 007 100 A1 ist eine Prozeß- bzw. Arbeitsmaschine bekannt, bei der als Betriebsflüssigkeit eine Ionische Flüssigkeit verwendet wird. Diese Ionische Flüssigkeit wird auch im Rahmen der Verwendung als Betriebsflüssigkeit als Schmierflüssigkeit, Sperrflüssigkeit, Abdichtflüssigkeit, Druckübertragungsflüssigkeit und dergleichen verwendet. - Die
WO 2006 109 652 beschreibt eine Schmierfettzusammensetzung enthaltend eine ionische Flüssigkeit als Basöl. - Die Verwendung von flüssigen Schmierstoffen erfordert in der Regel den Einsatz von aufwändigen Dichtungen. Schmierfette besitzen selbst eine dichtende Wirkung. Der Einsatz von aufwändigen Dichtungen entfällt, man kann mit einfachen Deckeln oder Dichtscheiben arbeiten.
- Ziel der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es, eine Schmierfettzusammensetzung bereitzustellen, die den oben genannten Anforderungen entspricht, insbesondere bei Hoch- und Tieftemperaturbedingungen anwendbar ist, einen geringen oder keinen Dampfdruck aufweist und somit bei der Verwendung nicht verdampft, sowie ein gutes Geräuschverhalten zeigt, lange Laufzeiten und im wesentlichen keine Verschleißerscheinungen des Wälzlagers bewirkt. Außerdem soll die Schmierfettzusammensetzung eine für die Anwendung passende Ölabscheidung bewirken.
- Dieses Ziel wird erfindungsgemäß durch eine Schmierfettzusammensetzung erreicht, die aus einer Mischung aus einer Grundölmischung auf der Basis von Ölen auf mit für Industrieschmierstoffe üblichen Viskositäten (ISO VG 2 bis ISO VG 1500), einer Ionischen Flüssigkeit oder einer Mischung aus mehreren Ionischen Flüssigkeiten, einem Verdickungsmittel beispielsweise auf der Basis einer Polyharnstoffverbindung sowie üblichen Additiven besteht, die sowohl bei Gebrauchstemperaturen von mehr als 120°C bis 260°C als auch bei tiefen Temperaturen bis -60°C einsetzbar sind.
- Die Grundölmischung kann synthetisches Öl, ein mineralisches Öl und/oder ein natives Öl sein. Diese Öle können einzeln oder in Kombination in Abhängigkeit von der Verwendung angewendet werden.
- Die synthetischen Öle werden ausgewählt aus einem Ester einer aliphatischen oder aromatischen Di-, Tri- oder Tetracarbonsäure mit einem oder in Mischung vorliegenden C7- bis C22-Alkoholen, aus einem Polyphenylether oder alkyliertem Diphenylether, aus einem Ester von Trimethylolpropan, Pentaerythrit oder Dipentaerythrit mit aliphatischen C7 bis C22- Carbonsäuren, aus C18-Dimersäureestern mit C7- bis C22-Alkoholen, aus Komplexestern, als Einzelkomponenten oder in beliebiger Mischung. Weiterhin kann das synthetische Öl ausgewählt werden aus Poly-α-Olefinen, alkylierten Naphthalinen, alkylierten Benzolen, Polyglykolen, Silikonölen, Perfluorpolyethern.
- Die mineralischen Öle können ausgewählt werden aus parafinbasischen-, naphthenbasischen-, aromatischen Hydrocrackölen; Gas to Liqud (GTL)-Flüssigkeiten. GTL heißt Gas-to Liquid Verfahren und beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Kraftstoffherstellung aus Erdgas. Erdgas wird per Dampfreformierung zu Synthesegas umgewandelt, dieses wird dann per Fischer-Tropsch-Synthese zu Kraftstoffen mittels Katalysatoren umgewandelt. Die Katalysatoren und die Prozeßbedingung steuern die Kraftstoffart, also ob Benzin, Kerosin, Diesel oder Öle hergestellt werden. Auf die gleiche Art kann nach dem Coal-to-Liquid Verfahren (CTL) Kohle als Rohstoff und im Biomass-to-Liquid (BTL) Verfahren Biomasse als Rohstoff verwendet werden.
- Als native Öle können Triglyzeride aus tierischer/pflanzlicher Quelle verwendet werden, die nach bekannten Verfahren wie beispielsweise Hydrogenierung veredelt wurden. Die besonders bevorzugten Triglyceridöle sind genetisch modifizierte Triglyceridöle mit hohem Ölsäureanteil. Typische hierin verwendete und genetisch modifizierte Pflanzenöle mit hohem Ölsäuregehalt sind Safloröl, Maisöl, Rapsöl, Sonnenblumenöl, Sojabohnenöl, Leinsamenöl, Erdnußöl, Lesquerella-Öl, Meadowfoam-Öl und Palmenöl.
- Bei den Ionischen Flüssigkeiten wird, wie bereits oben ausgeführt, durch die geeignete Wahl der Kationen und Anionen die jeweilige gewünschte Eigenschaft der Schmierstoffzusammensetzung erreicht, wie Erhöhung der Lebensdauer und Schmierwirkung des Schmierstoffes, Einstellung der Viskosität zur Verbesserung der Temperatureignung, Einstellung der elektrischen Leitfähigkeit zur Verbreiterung des Einsatzgebietes.
- Geeignete IL sind:
- Butylmethylpyrrolidinium-tris(pentafluorethyl)trifluorphosphat (MBPPFET),
- Trihexyl(tetradecyl)phosphonium-bis(trifluromethylsulfonyl)imid (HPDimid),
- 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazoliumethylsulfat (EMIM ethylsulfat),
- 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazoliumbis(trifluormethylsulfonyl)imid (EMIMimid),
- 1-Ethyl-2,3-dimethylimidazolium-bis(trifluormethylsulfonyl)imid (EMMIMimid),
- N-Ethyl-3-methylpyridinium-nonafluorbutansulfonat (EMPyflat)
- Das Verdickungsmittel ist entweder
ein Reaktionsprodukt aus einem Diisocyanat, vorzugsweise 2,4-Diisocyanatotoluol, 2,6-Diisocyanatotoluol, 4,4'-Diisocyanatodiphenylmethan, 2,4'-Dissiocyantodiphenyl-methan, 4,4'-Diisocyanatodiphenyl, 4,4'-Diisocyanato-3,3'-dimethyldiphenyl, 4,4'-Diisocyanato-3,3'-dimethylphenylmethan, die einzeln oder in Kombination verwendet werden können, mit einem Amin der allgemeinen Formel R'2N-R, oder einem Diamin der allgemeinen Formel R'2N-R-N-R'2, wobei R ein Aryl-, Alkyl- oder Alkylenrest mit 2 bis 22 Kohlenstoffatomen ist und R' identisch oder verschieden ein Wasserstoff, ein Alkyl-, Alkylen- oder Arylrest ist, oder mit Gemischen aus Aminen und Diaminen oder
wird ausgewählt aus Metallseifen, Metallsulfonaten, Metallkomplexseifen, Bentonit, Silikatpulver, Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE), Polyamid, Polyimid. - Darüber hinaus enthalten die erfindungsgemäßen Schmierfettzusammensetzungen übliche Additive gegen Korrosion, Oxidation und zum Schutz gegen Metalleinflüsse, die als Chelatverbindungen, Radikalfänger, UV-Stabilisatoren, Reaktionsschichtbildner vorhanden sind, sowie anorganische oder organische Festschmierstoffe, wie beispielsweise Polyimide, Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE), Graphit, Metalloxide, Bornitrid, Molybdändisulfid und Phosphat. Insbesondere werden Additive in Form von phosphor- und schwefelhaltigen Verbindungen z.B. Zinkdialkyldithiophosphat, Borsäureester als Antiwear/Extrempressure eingesetzt, aromatische Amino, Phenole, Schwefelverbindungen als Antioxidantien eingesetzt, Metallsalze, Ester, stickstoffhaltige Verbindungen, heterocyclische Verbindungen als Mittel zur Korrosionsverhinderung eingesetzt, Glycerin-mono- oder di-ester als Reibungsschutzmittel sowie Polyisobutylen, Polymethacrylat als Viskositätsverbesserer eingesetzt.
- Die erfindungsgemäßen Schmierfettzusammensetzungen enthalten 5 bis 95 Gewichts-% Grundölmischung, 1 bis 30 Gewichts-% Ionische Flüssigkeit, 3 bis 50 Gewichts-% Verdickungsmittel, 0,1 bis 10 Gewichts-% Additive.
- Bei diesen Schmierfettzusammensetzungen ist die Viskosität des Grundöls im Bereich von 1,98 bis 1650 mm2/s und die der Ionischen Flüssigkeit im Bereich von 1,98 bis 1650 mm2/s.
- Darüber hinaus weisen die Schmierfettzusammensetzungen Tropfpunkte nach DIN ISO 2176 von >180°C auf und sind gemäß DIN 51825 für Gebrauchstemperaturen bis -60°C geeignet.
- Die Schmierfettzusammensetzungen sind für Anwendungen für obere Gebrauchstemperaturen von mehr als 120°C bis zu 260°C und für tiefe Gebrauchstemperaturen von -60°C nach DIN 51285 geeignet. Auch können sie bei oberen Gebrauchstemperaturen von mehr als 180°C und für tiefe Gebrauchstemperaturen bis zu -60°C nach DIN 51825 eingesetzt werden.
- Überraschenderweise hat sich durch die Kombination der vorstehend genannten Bestandteile eine Schmierstoffzusammensetzung ergeben, die eine längere Lebensdauer durch Verzögerung des Viskositätserhöhung und damit der Verzögerung der Verlackung/Verhärtung des Schmierstoffes infolge der kaum vorhandenen Verdampfung der Ionischen Flüssigkeit aufweist. Darüber hinaus kann durch die Verwendung von Ionischen Flüssigkeiten eine Schmierfettzusammensetzung erhalten werden, deren Entflammbarkeit herabgesetzt ist, die gegenüber oxidativen und thermischen Einflüssen stabil ist, die in einem weiten Bereich in flüssiger Form einsetzbar ist, die einen vernachlässigbaren Dampfdruck hat und deren Viskosität in geeigneter Weise eingestellt werden kann.
- Da Hamstofffette oftmals in Wälzlagern eingesetzt werden, bei denen hohe Temperaturen vorherrschen und lange Laufzeiten erreicht werden, ist es erforderlich, die Fette für derartige Anwendungen anzupassen, da Hamstofffette unter hohen Temperaturen zu einer Verhärtung neigen. Dies kann dazu führen, dass Rollenlager oder Kugellager mit Durchmessern des Innenrings von 100 mm oder größer nicht ausreichend mit Öl versorgt werden. Auch kann die beschriebene Verhärtung dazu führen, daß Leitungen zur Nachschmierung unpassierbar sind und damit keine Zuführung von frischem Fett möglich ist oder sich das verhärtete Fett nicht mehr mit frischem Fett mischt. Es ist erwünscht, daß Harnstofffette mit höherer Ölabscheidung und geringerer Verhärtungstendenz bei hohen Temperaturen angewendet werden können. Derartig verbesserte Produkte können beispielsweise in Wälzlagern in der Wellpappanlagenindustrie, der holzverarbeitenden Industrie und in Radlagern von Nutzkraftfahrzeugen Anwendung finden.
- Bei Metallseifenfetten, besonders Lithiumseifenfetten und Lithiumkomplexseifenfetten zeigt sich dagegen bei höheren Temperaturen eher eine zu große Ölabgabe, so daß trotz Verwendung von Dichtungen Ölverluste eintreten die die Lagerlebensdauer begrenzen.
- Es wurde nun gefunden, da durch die Zugabe von Ionischen Flüssigkeiten eine Verbesserung der oben beschriebenen Nachteile erreicht wird.
- Die nachfolgenden Beispiele zeigen, daß eine Schmierfettzusammensetzung, die das Harnstoff als Verdickungsmittel enthält und zur Schmierung von Rollenlagern oder Kugellagern mit Innenringen mit Durchmessern von mindestens 100 mm verwendet werden kann, wobei die Nachteile der bekannten Schmierfettzusammensetzungen auf Harnstoffbasis vermieden werden.
- Auch können derartige Schmierfettzusammensetzungen zur Nachschmierung von Rollenlagern oder Kugellager mit Innenringen mit Durchmessern von mindestens 100 mm verwendet werden.
- Als besonders vorteilhafte Ausführungsformen der Schmierfettzusammensetzung gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung haben sich die nachfolgend genannten Zusammensetzungen erwiesen.
- Schmierfettzusammensetzungen nach Anspruch 1 bestehend aus 79 Gewichts-% Poly-α-Olefin als Grundöl, 17 Gewichts-% Lithiumeinfachseife als Verdickungsmittel, 4 Gewichts-% Additive und 1 bis 30 Gewichts-% Butyl-methylpyrrolidinium-bis(trifluormethylsulfonyl)imid als Ionische Flüssigkeit.
- Eine Schmierfettzuammensetzung bestehend aus 73,5 Gewichts-% Poly-α-olefin, 4,5 Gewichts-% Hamstoffverdicker und 15 Gewichts-% Lithiumkomplexseifenverdicker, 3 Gewichts-% Additive und 4 Gewichts-% Festschmierstoffen, in das zusätzlich 1 bis 5 Gewichts-% Ionische Flüssigkeiten eingearbeitet sind, wobei die Ionische Flüssigkeit ausgewählt wird aus Trihexyl(tetradecyl)phosphoniumbis(trifluormethylsulfonyl)imid oder N-Ethyl-3-methylpyridinium-nonafluorbutansulfonat.
- Auch sind Schmierfettzusammensetzungen bestehend aus 85 Gewichts-% Estermischung, 7,5 Gewichts-% Harnstoffverdicker, 5 Gewichts-% Additivgemisch und 2,5 bis 10 Gewichts-% 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazoliumbis-(trifluormethylsulfonyl)imid vorteilhaft bei der Anwendung gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung.
- Auch Schmierfettzusammensetzungen bestehend aus 84 Gewichts-% synthetischer Ester, 14 Gewichts-% Harnstoffverdicker, 2 Gewichts-% Additive und 1 bis 3 Gewichts-% 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazoliumethylsulfat sind erfindungsgemäß einsetzbar.
- Eine Schmierfettzusammensetzung, die aus 76 Gewichts-% eines Gemisches von synthetischen Estern und Poly-α-olefinen, 15 Gewichts-% Harnstoffverdicker, 9 Gewichts-% Additive und zusätzlich 1 bis 10 Gewichts-% Butylmethylpyrrolidinium-bis(trifluormethylsulfonyl)imid bestehen können zur Anwendung kommen.
- Die erfindungsgemäßen Schmierstoffzusammensetzungen werden entweder dadurch erhalten, daß das mit Di- und/oder Polyharnstoff verdickte Grundöl mit der Ionischen Flüssigkeit gemischt wird und anschließend über einen Hochdruckhomogenisator und/oder Dreiwalzenstuhl homogenisiert wird oder dadurch, daß das Grundöl mit der Ionischen Flüssigkeit gemischt wird und in dieser Mischung durch Synthese der Poly- oder Diharnstoffverbindung in situ verdickt und anschließend über einen Hochdruckhomogenisator und/oder Dreiwalzenstuhl homogenisiert wird.
- Die Erfindung wird nun durch die nachfolgenden Beispiele näher erläutert.
- Soweit in den Beispielen nicht anders angegeben, beziehen sich die %-Angaben auf Gewichts-%. Durch Zugabe der Ionischen Flüssigkeit verringert sich der prozentuale Anteil der restlichen Grundöl, soweit nicht anders angegeben, entsprechend.
- Zur Herstellung einer Schmierfettzusammensetzung werden 77 Gewichts-% einer Mischung aus Trimellith/Pyromellithsäureester als Grundöl, 10 Gew.-% MPBimid als Ionische Flüssigkeit, 8 Gew.-% Poly- bzw. Diharnstoff als Verdickungsmittel sowie 5 Gew.-% Korrosionsschutzmittel, Antioxidant und Verschleißschutzmittel als Additive gemischt. Die Ionischen Flüssigkeiten werden nach der in situ Herstellung des Verdickers in Basisöl hinzugemischt und mittels Hochdruckhomogenisatoren, Dreiwalzenstuhl oder anderen geeigneten Verfahren homogenisiert.

- Die obere Gebrauchstemperatur wurde nach DIN 51825 auf der FAG FE-9 Wälzlagerprüfmaschine, FAG FE 9 Prüfung bei 180°C, 6000 rpm, 1500 N, Einbau A:
- L 10 = 73 h
- L 50 = 222 h
- ß = 1,7,
- Zur Herstellung einer Schmierfettzusammensetzung werden zu einem Fett bestehend aus 79 Gewichts-% einer Mischung aus Poly-α-olefinen als Grundöl, 17 Gewichts-% einer Lithiumeinfachseife als Verdickerungsmittel, 4 Gewichts-% Additiven werden zusätzlich 10 bzw. 30 Gewichts-% MPBimid als Ionische Flüssigkeit zugegeben. Die Ionische Flüssigkeit wird kalt nach der in situ Herstellung des Lithumseifenfetts zu dem Basisöl hinzugemischt, eingerührt und homogen gewalzt.

- Das abgeschiedene Öl (FTMS Standard) wurde als Grundöl identifiziert, d.h. es scheidet sich keine Ionische Flüssigkeit ab.
- Nach dem oben beschriebenen Grundrezept für ein Lithiumseifenfett nach Beispiel 2 wurden noch weitere Versuche mit geringeren Mengen an Ionischer Flüssigkeit durchgeführt, die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 3 gezeigt.

- In diesem Beispiel wird anhand eines Wälzlagerfettes bestehend aus einem synthetischen Kohlenwasserstoff, einem synthetischen Ester, einem aromatischen Diisocyant, aliphatischen Monoaminen eine Standardfett hergestellt, dem 10 % MBPimid zugegeben werden in einer ROF-Wälzlagerfettprüfmaschine untersucht. Mit diesem Test wird die Lebensdauer der untersuchten Schmierfettzusammensetzung bestimmt und die oberen Gebrauchstemperaturen von Schmierfetten in Wälzlagern bei hohen Drehzahlen und standardmäßig niedrigen axialen und radialen Belastungen bestimmt. Als Prüflager wurde ein Rillenkugellager 6204-2Z-C3/VM104 verwendet, das einer Belastung von 100 N bei der Axiallast und 200 N bei der Radiallast, einer Drehzahl von 180001/min, einer Temperatur von 160°C ausgesetzt war, sowie mit einer Füllmenge von 1,5 cm3 beladen war. Es zeigte sich, daß die Schmierfettzusammensetzung ohne IL einen L50 Wert von 186 Stunden und die Schmierfettzusammensetzung eine L50 Wert von 717 Stunden hatte. Dies zeigt die deutliche Verbesserung der Lebensdauer einer Schmierfettzusammensetzung mit Ionischer Flüssigkeit.
- In diesem Beispiel wird die VKA-Schweißkraft nach DIN 51350 bestimmt. Dazu wurde ein Wälzlagerfett bestehend aus synthetischem Ester, Perfluorpolyether (PFPE), aromatischen Diisocyanat und einem Gemisch aus aliphatischen und aromatischen Aminen verwendet. Die nachfolgenden Schmierfettzusammensetzungen wurden dann dem VKA-Schweißkraft-Test unterzogen.
- Schmierfettzusammensetzungen, es handelt sich um Fette der NLGI 2-3:
- Fett 1: Standard mit Perfluorpolyether
- Fett 2: Standard ohne Perfluorpolyether mit 2,5 % EMIMimid
- Fett 3: Standard ohne Perfluorpolyether mit 5 % EMIMimid
- Fett 4: Standard ohne Perfluorpolyether mit 7,5 % EMIMimid
- Fett 5: Standard ohne Perfluorpolyether mit 10 % EMIMimid
- Der Vergleich der VKA-Werte zeigt, daß bei einem Zusatz von mehr als 2,5 % Ionischer Flüssigkeit ein besserer VKA-Wert erreicht wird.

- Die Fette wurden auch einem FE 9 Wälzlagerfett-Test unterzogen, bei dem die Lebensdauer der untersuchten Fette ermittelt wird und die obere Gebrauchstemperatur von Schmierfetten in Wälzlagern bei mittleren Drehzahlen und mittleren axialen Belastungen bestimmt wird. Als Lager wurde ein FAG Sonderlager 529689 H 109 (dies entspricht einem Schrägkugellager 7206 B mit Stahlkäfig) verwendet, mit einem JP2 Käfig bei einer Drehzahl von 6000 1/min, einer Axiallast von 1500 N einer Temperatur von 200°C und einer Füllmenge von 2 cm3 verwendet. Die untersuchten Schmierfette und die Ergebnisse der L10 und L50-Werte sind in Tabelle 6 gezeigt.

PFPE +10% EMMIMimid L10: 16 h L50: 72 h - Die Tabelle zeigt, daß durch den Zusatz von Ionischen Flüssigkeiten, die Fette längere Laufzeiten haben, wie sich aus dem Vergleich mit den für Fett 1 mit Perfluorpolyether ohne Ionische Flüssigkeiten ermittelten Werte ergibt.
- Es wurde eine weitere Schmierfettzusammensetzung einem FAG FE 9 Test unterzogen, diesem Fett ohne PFPE waren 10 % HDPimid zugesetzt (Fett 8). Es wurden folgende Laufzeiten erhalten L10: 66 h, L50: 101 h und β: 4,4. diese Ergebnisse zeigen, daß die erfindungsgemäßen Schmierfettzusammensetzungen den Anforderungen für Wälzlagerfette gemäß DIN-Standards für eine Gebrauchstemperatur bis 200°C erfüllen.
- In diesem Beispiel wird die VKA-Schweißkraft nach DIN 51350 bestimmt. Dazu wurde ein Wälzlagerfett bestehend aus synthetischem Ester, aromatischen Diisocyanat und aliphatischen Aminen als Standardzusammensetzung verwendet. Die nachfolgenden Schmierfettzusammensetzungen wurden dann dem VKA-Schweißkraft-Test unterzogen.
- Schmierfettzusammensetzungen, es handelt sich um Fette der NLGI 2-3:
- Fett 1: Standard ohne IL
- Fett 2: Standard mit Zusatz von 5 % EMIMimid, (Ölersatz)
- Fett 3: Standard mit Zusatz von 10 % EMIMimid, (Ölersatz)
- Tabelle 7 zeigt, daß die Schweißkraft verbessert wird, es werden bessere VKA - Werte mit Einsatz IL im Fett erhalten.

Außerdem wurde untersucht, ob durch die Zugabe von Ionischen Flüssigkeiten das Verhärten von Fetten bei Temperaturbelastung verhindert werden kann. - Bei einer Temperaturbelastung von 160°C wurde ein sogenannter "Aluschälchentest" verwendet. Hierzu wird zunächst die Viskosität des noch nicht belasteten Fetts gemessen. In einem Aluschälchen, Durchmesser ca. 50 mm, Höhe ca. 15mm, wird bis zu einer % Höhe des Schälchens das zu prüfende Fett möglichst homogen und glatt eingestrichen. Anschließend wird das Schälchen mit dem passenden Deckel geschlossen. Das verschlossene Schälchen wird anschließend auf einem Ofenblech gestellt und in einem Ofen bei erhöhter Temperatur belastet. In einem wöchentlichen Rhythmus wird die Viskosität des Fettes gemessen.
- Die scheinbar dynamische Viskosität wird bei 300s-1; 25°C gemessen.
- Folgende Schmierfettzusammensetzungen wurden diesem Test unterzogen.
- Fett 1: Standardrezept ohne IL
- Fett 5: Zusatz von 1 % EMIM ethylsulfat
- Fett 6: Zusatz von 3 % EMIM ethylsulfat
- Fett 7: Zusatz von 5 % EMIM ethylsulfat
- Die Wert der scheinbar dynamischen Viskosität sind in mPas angegeben.
- Mit Zugabe von 1 % EMIM ethylsulfat ist das Fett weicher, mit 3% ist das Fett sehr inhomogen (nicht meßbar) und mit 5% total "auseinander gefallen" (nicht meßbar).
- Es ist deutlich zu erkennen, daß durch die Zugabe von 1 % EMIM ethylsulfat das Material bei Temperaturbelastung weicher bleibt. Bei Zugaben von mehr als 1 % IL kann keine Verbesserung bei Temperaturbelastung festgestellt werden.
- In diesem Beispiel wird die Verbesserung von Radlagerfetten bei der Zugabe von Ionischen Flüssigkeiten untersucht. Insbesondere Radlagerfette für LKW sind sowohl thermisch als auch bezüglich der Last hohen Anforderungen unterworfen. Eine besonders hohe thermische Belastung entsteht, wenn die Fahrzeuge bei der Abfahrt beispielsweise von Gebirgspässen ständig gebremst werden müssen. Zur Simulation dieser Beanspruchung werden FE 8 Wälzlager-Untersuchungen durchgeführt, die durch einen periodischen Temperaturwechsel gekennzeichnet sind.
- Als Basisschmierfett für diese Untersuchungen wird eine Zusammensetzung aus einem Poly-α-olefin, einem aromatischen Diisocyanat, einem Gemisch aus aliphatischen und aromatischen Aminen und einer Lithiumkomplexseife (Standard) verwendet.
- Folgende Schmierfettzusammensetzungen wurden verwendet:
- Fett 1: Standardrezept
- Fett 2: Standard plus 5 % HDPimid
-
- Dem Fett, dem 5 % HDPimid zugesetzt wurde, zeigte eine höhere Olabscheidung.
- Zur Untersuchung der Verhärtung wurde der oben beschriebene gedeckelte Aluschälchentest durchgeführt.
- Die Viskositätsmessungen wurden bei 160°C durchgeführt, die Werte sind in mPas angegeben.
Tabelle 11 frisch 5 Tage 12 Tage 19 Tage 25 Tage 34 Tage Fett 1 9956 8014 8619 8771 10276 12243 Fett 2 9395 7522 5492 5717 8817 8508 - Für alle Proben kann die scheinbare Viskosität gemessen werden, das Standardfett wirkt im Erscheinungsbild trockner als das Fett mit IL.
- Das Muster mit IL weist einen Viskositätsabfall auf und ist weicher als das Muster ohne IL, das härter wird.
- Dies führt zu Laufzeitverlängerung z.B. in der FE 8 Wälzlageruntersuchungen. Bei diesen Untersuchungen wird der Reibmoment- und Temperaturverlauf im Lager sowie der Verschleiß der Wälzlagerkomponenten nach DIN 51819 bestimmt. Die periodisch wechselnde Temperatur wechselt zwischen 130°C, dies entspricht dem normalen Betrieb und 170°C, dies entspricht einer Abfahrt vom Gebirgspaß.
- Bei der mit Fett 1 bezeichneten Zusammensetzung ohne IL zeigte sich ein hoher Verschleiß und eine kurze Laufzeit von 215 Stunden, bereits bei einer zweiten Temperierungsphase von 170°C mußte der Prüflauf abgebrochen werden, das Material erzeugte soviel Eigenwärme, daß der Lüfter zugeschaltet werden mußte.
- Die Untersuchungen mit der als Fett 2 bezeichneten Schmierfettzusammensetzung plus 5 % HDPimid zeigten einen geringeren Verschleiß und eine höhere Laufzeit von 377 Stunden, es konnten 5 Zyklen mit einer Temperatur von 170°C gefahren werden. Die Prüfmaschine wurde bewusst abgeschaltet, ein weiterer Betrieb wäre möglich gewesen. Das Material führte nur zu einer geringen Eigenerwärmung, es musste zugeheizt werden.
- Mit den folgenden Schmierfettzusammensetzungen wurden weitere Untersuchungen durchgeführt, die Ergebnisse sind in den Tabellen 12 und 13 gezeigt.
- Fett 1: Standardrezept (Beispiel 6) ohne IL
- Fett 3: Standard plus 1 % HDPimid
- Fett 4: Standard plus 2 % HDPimid
- Fett 5: Standard plus 3 % HDPimid
- Fett 6: Standard plus 1 % N-Ethyl-3-methylpyridinium-nonafluorbutansulfonat
- Fett 7: Standard plus 2 % N-Ethyl-3-methylpyridinium- nonafluorbutansulfonat
- Fett 8: Standard plus 3% N-Ethyl-3-methylpyridinium nonafluorbutansulfonat
- Die Muster mit IL weisen erhöhte Ölabscheidungen auf. Es kann also durch die Art und Menge der verwendeten Ionischen Flüssigkeit die Höhe der Ölabscheidung eingestellt werden.

- Die obigen Beispiele zeigen die vorteilhafte Wirkung der Zugabe von Ionischen Flüssigkeiten zu Ölen auf der Basis von Industrieschmierstoffen.

Claims (11)
- Schmierfettzusammensetzung bestehend aus einer Mischung aus(a) 5 bis 95 Gewichts-% Grundöl auf Basis von Ölen mit für Industrieschmierstoffe üblichen Viskosität, das aus einem Ester einer aromatischen oder aliphatischen Di-, Tri- oder Tetracarbonsäure mit einem oder in Mischung vorliegenden C7- bis C22-Alkoholen, aus einem Polyphenylether oder alkyliertem Diphenylether, aus einem Ester von Trimethylolpropan, Pentaerythrit oder Dipentaerythrit mit aliphatischen C7 bis C22- Carbonsäuren, aus C18-Dimersäureestern mit C7- bis C22-Alkoholen, aus Komplexestern, als Einzelkomponenten oder in beliebiger Mischung besteht, oder ausgewählt wird aus Poly-α-Olefinen, alkylierten Naphthalinen, alkylierten Benzolen, Polyglykolen, Silikonölen, Perfluorpolyethern,(b) 1 bis 30 Gewichts-% Ionischer Flüssigkeit oder einer Mischung aus mehreren Ionischen Flüssigkeiten ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus
Trihexyl(tetradecyl)phosphonium-bis(trifluromethylsulfonyl)imid,
N-Ethyl-3-methylpyridinium-nona-fluorbutansulfonat,
Butylmethylpyrrolidinium-bis(trifluromethylsulfonyl)imid,
1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium-(bis)trifluormethylsulfonylimid,
1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazoliumethylsulfat,(c) 3 bis 50 Gewichts-% Verdickungsmittel ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus
einem Reaktionsprodukt aus einem Diisocyanat, 2,4-Diisocyanatotoluol, 2,6-Diisocyanatotoluol, 4,4'-Diisocyanatodiphenylmethan, 2,4'-Diisocyantodiphenylmethan, 4,4'-Diisocyanatodiphenyl, 4,4'-Diisocyanato-3,3'-dimethyldiphenyl, 4,4'-Diisocyanato-3,3'-dimethylphenyl-methan, die einzeln oder in Kombination verwendet werden können, mit einem Amin der allgemeinen Formel R'2N-R, oder einem Diamin der allgemeinen Formel R'2N-R-N-R'2, wobei R ein Aryl-, Alkyl- oder Alkylenrest mit 2 bis 22 Kohlenstoffatomen ist und R' identisch oder verschieden Wasserstoff, ein Alkyl-, Alkylen- oder Arylrest, ist, oder mit einem Gemisch aus Aminen und Diaminen
oder
aus Metallseifen, Metallsulfonaten, Metallkomplexseifen, Bentonit, Silikatpulver, Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE), Polyamid, Polyimid,
und(d) 0,1 bis 10 Gewichts-% übliche Additive einzeln oder in Kombination, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Korrosionsschutzmitteln, Oxidationsschutzmitteln, Verschleißschutzmitteln, Mitteln zur Reibungsminderung, Mitteln zum Schutz gegen Metalleinflüsse, UV-Stabilisatoren, anorganische oder organische Festschmierstoffe, ausgewählt aus Polyimid, Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE), Graphit, Metalloxide, Bornitrid, Molybdändisulfid und Phosphat. - Schmierfettzusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1 bestehend aus 79 Gewichts-% Poly-α-Olefin als Grundöl, 17 Gewichts-% Lithiumeinfachseife als Verdickungsmittel, 4 Gewichts-% Additive und zusätzlich 1 bis 30 Gewichts-% Butylmethylpyrrolidinium-bis(trifluormethylsulfonyl)imid als Ionische Flüssigkeit.
- Schmierfettzusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1 bestehend aus 73,5 Gewichts-% Poly-α-olefin, 4,5 Gewichts-% Harnstoffverdicker, 15 Gewichts-% Lithiumkomplexseifenverdicker, 3 Gewichts-% Additive, 4 Gewichts-% Festschmierstoffen und 1 bis 5 Gewichts-% Ionische Flüssigkeiten, wobei die Ionische Flüssigkeit Trihexyl(tetradecyl)phosphonium-bis(trifluormethylsulfonyl)imid oder N-Ethyl-3-methylpyridinium- nonafluorbutansulfonat ist.
- Schmierfettzusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, bestehend aus 85 Gewichts-% Estermischung, 7,5 Gewichts-% Harnstoffverdicker, 5 Gewichts-% Additive und 2,5 bis 10 Gewichts-% 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium-bis(trifluormethylsulfonyl)imid.
- Schmierfettzusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, bestehend aus 84 Gewichts-% synthetischer Ester, 14 Gewichts-% Harnstoffverdicker, 2 Gewichts-% Additive und 1 bis 3 Gewichts-% 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazoliumethylsulfat.
- Schmierfettzusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, bestehend aus 76 Gewichts-% eines Gemisches von synthetischen Estern und Polyalfaolefinen, 15 Gewichts-% Harnstoffverdicker, 9 Gewichts-% Additive und 1 bis 10 Gewichts-% Butylmethylpyrrolidinium-bis(trifluormethylsulfonyl)imid.
- Schmierfettzusammensetzung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, bei der die Tropfpunkte nach DIN ISO 2176 größer als >180°C sind und die gemäß DIN 51825 für Gebrauchstemperaturen bis -60°C geeignet sind.
- Verwendung der Schmierfettzusammensetzung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6 für Anwendungen für obere Gebrauchstemperaturen von mehr als 120°C bis zu 260°C und für tiefe Gebrauchstemperaturen bis -60°C nach DIN 51825.
- Verwendung der Schmierfettzusammensetzung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6 für Anwendungen für obere Gebrauchstemperaturen von mehr als 180°C bis zu 260°C und für tiefe Gebrauchstemperaturen bis -60 °C nach DIN 51825.
- Verwendung der Schmierfettzusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, die Harnstoff als Verdickungsmittel enthält und zur Schmierung von Rollenlagern oder Kugellager mit Innenringen mit Durchmessern von mindestens 100 mm.
- Verwendung der Schmierfettzusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, die Harnstoff enthält und zur Nachschmierung von Rollenlagern oder Kugellager mit Innenringen mit Durchmessern von mindestens 100 mm.
