Abstract

<B>"PROCESSO APERFEIçOADO PARA OXIDAR CICLOALCANOS"<D> A invenção refere-se a um processo catalítico para oxidar cicloalcanos diretamente de modo a formar, em uma única etapa, uma mistura contendo álcool e a cetona correspondentes. Particularmente, a invenção refere-se à oxidação de um cicloalcano mediante o seu contato com uma fonte de oxigênio e uma quantidade catalítica de um catalisador heterogêneo. Os catalisadores da invenção incluem o ouro (inclusive os compostos de sol-gel de ouro) e os compostos de sol-gel contendo combinações particulares de Cr, Co, Zr, Ta, Si, Mg, Nb, Al e Ti, sendo que determinados desses metais foram combinados com um óxido, tal como uma matriz inorgânica de hidróxidos ou óxidos, ou as suas combinações. Os catalisadores também podem ser opcionalmente suportados em um membro de suporte apropriado.
