Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"PROCESSO PARA EPOXIDAçãO DE PROPILENO"<D>. O propileno é convertido em óxido de propileno em um processo em fase líquida altamente eficiente, no qual a temperatura e a pressão são ambas aumentadas durante o transcorrer da epoxidação, que é, de preferência, conduzida em um modo de operação contínuo. O catalisador usado é um catalisador heterogêneo, tal como silicalito de titânio ou titânia-sobre-sílica. O agente oxidante é uma espécie de oxigênio ativo, tal como peróxido de hidrogênio ou um hidroperóxido orgânico. Quando o rendimento desejável de óxido de propileno não pode ser mais mantido, o catalisador é substituído ou regenerado. A regeneração por lavagem do catalisador com um solvente quente contendo uma fonte de cátions de amónio ou de metais alcalinos é altamente efetiva, especialmente quando o catalisador é um zeólito contendo titânio.
