  • benzene 608, cyclohexane 610 and other C3 and C4 intermediate products may be produced (see Ce value chain 622).
  • the intermediate products, such as anoIone 612, from the Ce value chain 622 may be combined with intermediate products from the Ci value chain 620 to produce further intermediate products, such as caprolactam 614.
  • polyamide polymers 616 may be produced from caprolactam 614.
  • bio-based or recycled intermediates may enter the production network at an intermediary step.
  • benzene produced from bio-based or recycled raw materials may be used to replace benzene shown in Fig. 6.
  • the biomethane content of biomethane and/or the pyrolysis oil content of the pyrolysis oil as non-fossil input material may be tracked.
  • the biomethane content and/or the pyrolysis oil content at the start of the production chain of the polyamide composition 618, such as polyamide 6616 may be registered via the operating system 108.
  • the pyrolysis oil content may be allocated to the balancing account 210 associated with metadata, such as metadata indicating that this balancing account is assigned to recycled materials.
  • the biomethane content may be allocated to the balancing account 212 associated with metadata, such as metadata indicating that this balancing account is assigned to bio-based materials.
  • the environmental attribute of biomethane content and/or pyrolysis oil content is hence detached from the mass flows of the chemical processing in the chemical production network 202 as illustrated in Fig. 6.
  • the biomethane content and/or the pyrolysis oil content used to produce the polyamide composition may be determined.
  • the biomethane content and/or the pyrolysis oil content attributable to polyamide composition production may be based on mass conservation attributable to the produced polyamide composition. For example, only half of the biomethane content and/or the pyrolysis oil content may be attributable to polyamide composition while the other half may be attributable to other output products resulting from the mixed feedstock as input material.
  • the environmental attribute biomethane content and/or the pyrolysis oil content may be attributed to such extend to the polyamide composition.
  • the registration of the biomethane content and/or the pyrolysis oil content of input materials as well as the attribution of said registered environmental attributes to the produced polyamide composition 618 may be performed as described in relation to Fig. 2.
  • the environmental attribute associated with the production of the polyamide composition 618 may be attributed to the produced polyamide composition by associating the decentral ID to the polyamide composition and assigning the environmental attribute to the decentral ID.

  • the polyamide composition may be delivered to the consumer of the polyamide composition, such as a production producing further products using the received polyamide composition.
  • the packaging, such as bags, containing the polyamide composition may include a QR-code.
  • the decentral ID may be included or encoded to the QR code. This way the consumer of the polyamide composition may access the environmental attributes associated to the polyamide composition via the ID based protocol described in the context of Figs. 4 and 5.
  • the registration of carbon footprint data associated with input materials and production processes as well as the attribution of said carbon footprint to the polyamide composition may be based on the method illustrated in Fig. 3 for carbon footprints.
