Definitions
- the present invention relates to an abnormality detection device for a vehicle that temporarily stops an engine when a predetermined condition is satisfied during idling, and in particular, to accurately detect an abnormality in a variable valve timing mechanism (VVT).
- VVT variable valve timing mechanism
- the present invention relates to a detection device capable of performing the above. Background art
- VVT is often installed on the engines mounted on such Ecolan vehicles.
- the opening and closing timing of the intake valve and Z or exhaust valve is continuously variable by electronically controlled hydraulic drive to improve low to medium speed torque, fuel efficiency and emission performance. is there.
- the intake valve and Z There is also a type that variably controls the lift amount of the exhaust valve.
- This VVT controls the intake and exhaust valves, which are the main parts of the engine, and an abnormality diagnosis is required in the event of a failure. .
- Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2 0 4-2 9 3 5 2 0 discloses an abnormality diagnosis apparatus that expands the diagnosis area of abnormality diagnosis for a valve timing control system and detects an abnormality quickly and reliably.
- This abnormality diagnosis device is a valve timing control system abnormality diagnosis device that adjusts the rotational phase between the crankshaft and camshaft of the engine, and detects changes in the engine speed accompanying changes in operating conditions. Means for calculating a diagnostic value based on a change in the engine speed, and means for comparing the diagnostic value with a predetermined determination threshold and determining that an abnormality has occurred when the diagnostic value exceeds the determination threshold.
- valve timing control system abnormality diagnosis device if the engine speed change amount (or the integrated value of the engine speed change amount) when the operating condition changes exceeds the judgment threshold, the valve timing control system is abnormal. Diagnose it. For this reason, it is possible to quickly and surely detect deterioration in responsiveness due to poor sliding or sticking of the sliding portion of the variable valve timing mechanism regardless of the operation region. Moreover, not only is the sliding part fixed or close to the fixed state, but also the hydraulic pressure becomes higher than specified, a response delay occurs in the variable valve timing mechanism, and the response of the actual advance angle to the target advance angle is reduced. Even when it gets worse, it can accurately detect abnormalities and improve diagnostic accuracy.
- VVT an abnormality has occurred in the VVT when an advance command is output from the (Electronic Control Unit) to the VVT controller.
- This abnormality includes deterioration of responsiveness due to poor sliding of each sliding part of VV ⁇ due to impurities in the oil and accumulation / precipitation of foreign matter due to deterioration, and sticking due to stagnation of foreign matter.
- the advance command is being output and the VVT is in an abnormal state due to sticking, etc., there may be no displacement of the cam position to the advance side by the VVT. In such a case, VVT is different.
- the piston may be pushed back by compressed air and the crankshaft may be returned slightly in the opposite direction.
- the cam position sensor detects that the VVT advance amount is relatively generated. If the crankshaft is returned in this way, it is detected as if the cam position is advanced, and the occurrence of an abnormality cannot be detected. For this reason, the engine is controlled on the assumption that no VVT abnormality has occurred when the engine is restarted. Disclosure of the invention
- An object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle abnormality detection device that can accurately detect V VT abnormality in a vehicle that repeatedly stops and restarts an engine such as an eco-run car.
- the vehicle abnormality detection device detects an abnormality of the vehicle that temporarily stops the engine when the condition of the vehicle satisfies a predetermined condition.
- the engine is provided with a variable valve timing mechanism.
- the abnormality detection device includes a determination unit that determines whether a predetermined abnormality detection prohibition condition regarding the engine state is satisfied after the engine is temporarily stopped and after the engine is restarted.
- a detection unit that detects an abnormality of the valve timing mechanism, and a prohibition unit that prohibits the detection unit from detecting an abnormality of the variable valve timing mechanism when the abnormality detection prohibition condition is satisfied by the determination unit.
- the abnormality detection prohibition condition is a condition that the engine speed is lower than a predetermined engine speed.
- an engine or hybrid vehicle has an engine with a VVT mechanism, and a condition for prohibiting detection of an abnormality of the VVT (an abnormality detection prohibition condition) is set.
- the engine stops during the compression stroke, and the piston is pushed by the compressed air, causing the crankshaft to rotate slightly backward.
- the camshaft does not rotate backward. For this reason, when an advance command signal is output, an abnormality such as the mechanism inside the VVT sticking has occurred, and although it is not actually advanced by the VVT, the apparent advance angle As detected by the cam position sensor. Is done.
- the abnormality detection prohibition condition is a condition that after the engine is restarted, the number of times of output of the control command to the variable banlev timing mechanism is lower than a predetermined number.
- the cam position sensor detects the cam phase and calculates the advance amount and the retard amount. Since the cam position sensor cannot detect the cam phase unless the crankshaft rotates at least once, the control command signal is not output. Conversely, the output of the control command signal means that the cam phase has been detected by the cam position sensor at least once. At this time, sticking can be detected. Therefore, until such a state is reached, the abnormality detection prohibition condition can be established so that the V V T abnormality determination is not performed.
- the abnormality detection prohibition condition is a condition that after the engine is restarted, a displacement amount in a control command to the variable valve timing mechanism is smaller than a predetermined amount.
- the amount of displacement in a state where the engine is stopped, the amount of displacement can be increased to improve the accuracy of abnormality detection.
- the abnormality detection prohibition condition is a condition that engine stop processing is being performed.
- an idling stop condition for an eco-run car is satisfied and the engine is stopped and the engine speed is low (immediately before stopping, etc.), the engine is stopped during the compression stroke. Due to crankshaft and cam Since the shaft is not synchronized with the shaft,
- FIG. 1 is a control block diagram of a vehicle on which the abnormality detection device according to the present embodiment is mounted.
- Fig. 2 is a flowchart showing the control structure of the V V T abnormality detection program executed by ECU in Fig. 1.
