Definitions
- thermoplastic resin composition for light reflector molded article for light reflector, and light reflector
- the present invention relates to a thermoplastic resin composition used for a light reflector such as a housing, a housing, a reflector, an extension, and a lighting device of an automobile lamp, and a light reflecting metal layer formed on a molded article of the thermoplastic resin composition.
- a light reflector such as a housing, a housing, a reflector, an extension, and a lighting device of an automobile lamp
- a light reflecting metal layer formed on a molded article of the thermoplastic resin composition.
- the surface of the injection molding die used for manufacturing should be polished to a number of 5000 or more or subjected to a surface treatment such as chrome plating. It relates to the improvement of surface smoothness, surface gloss and surface clarity of molded products, and it becomes easy to obtain good appearance after vapor deposition and painting.
- BMC bulk molding compound
- a light reflector such as a reflector or an extension used in a lamp for an automobile.

- studies using thermoplastic resins have been conducted.
- thermoplastic resins include various reinforcing materials such as crystalline resins typified by polyester resins such as polybutylene terephthalate and polyethylene terephthalate, and amorphous resins typified by polycarbonate resins. Is used.
- crystalline resins typified by polyester resins such as polybutylene terephthalate and polyethylene terephthalate
- amorphous resins typified by polycarbonate resins.
- polyethylene terephthalate resin is used as a thermoplastic resin
- an inorganic filler such as glass fiber and talc is blended as a reinforcing material
- the surface of the molded product is insufficient in smoothness due to embossment of the inorganic filler and poor mold release, so that undercoating is performed prior to forming the light reflecting metal layer on the molded product, It is necessary to smooth the surface of the molded article. Without this undercoat treatment, even if a light-reflecting metal layer was formed, no mirror surface was obtained, and no satisfactory light reflector could be obtained. Such an undercoat treatment requires an extra step, requires processing of a solvent used for the undercoat material, and requires drying of the paint, thus requiring extra energy. There was a problem that the load on the equipment was large.
- a resin composition comprising 100 parts by mass of a thermoplastic resin composed of a lentephthalate resin and a polycarbonate resin and 3 parts by mass of untreated surface talc having an average particle diameter of 0.3 as a reinforcing material (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 11-241006) And a resin composition containing 12 to 25 parts by mass of talc having an average particle diameter of 2.6 to 3.8 m treated with epoxysilane per 100 parts by mass of a polyester resin (JP-A-2003-12903). Gazette).

- the resin composition described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 11-241006 uses an inorganic filler that has not been subjected to surface treatment as a reinforcing material. Since very fine particles of 0.3 m were used, the inorganic fillers tended to agglomerate, and the surface smoothness of the molded product was insufficient.
- the resin compositions described in JP-A-11-241006 and JP-A-2003-12903 use talc as a reinforcing material, so that a molded article using this resin composition can be obtained.
- the resin composition described in JP-A-2000-35509 discloses a method of reducing the amount of terminal carboxyl groups to a specific amount or less, so that a pyrolysis gas of a polyester resin as a base resin can be obtained. By suppressing the occurrence of phenomena (phenomenon (2) above), heat fogging (whitening) is suppressed.
- the resin composition described in this document has no problem when molding a small and simple molded article such as a 50 mm square plate, but does not contain a release agent component.
