上述したようにIn等の特定元素を添加することにより、微小電界時及び高電界時の双方において圧電d定数を向上させることができるが、そのためには主成分100モルに対する特定元素Xの含有モル量αを、少なくとも0.1モル以上とする必要がある。一方、前記含有モル量αが主成分100モルに対し10モルを超えると特定元素Xの含有量が過剰となって固溶限界を超えるため、固溶しきれなくなった特定元素Xが結晶粒界に析出して導電層を形成し、分極不良が生じるおそれがある。
xは第3成分であるM1nM2O3の主成分中の配合モル比を規定するが、xが0.005未満になるとM1nM2O3の含有量が過少となって比誘電率εr及び電気機械結合係数kpが小さくなり、このため所望の高圧電d定数を得ることができず、圧電特性の向上を図ることができない。一方、xが0.1を超えるとキュリー点Tcの低下が顕著になり、電気機械結合係数kpが急激に低下して圧電特性が悪化する。
Na及びLiは必要に応じて主成分中に含有され、Kの一部と置換固溶した形態で存在するが、Naの配合モル比を規定するaが0.9を超えると強誘電体を形成することができなくなり、また、Liの配合モル比を規定するbが0.3を超えるとKとの固溶限界を超えてしまい、いずれの場合も圧電性を示さなくなる。また、aとbの総計が0.9を超えた場合は、比誘電率εrが著しく低下し、所望の高圧電d定数が得ることができなくなる。
Taも必要に応じて主成分中に含有され、Nbの一部と置換固溶した形態で存在するが、Taの配合モル比を規定するcが0.5を超えると電気機械結合係数kpが大幅に低下し、微小電界時及び高電界時の双方で圧電d定数の劣化が著しく、所望の圧電特性を得ることができなくなる。
Sbも必要に応じて主成分中に含有され、Nbの一部と置換固溶した形態で存在するが、Sbの配合モル比を規定するdが0.1を超えると、キュリー点Tcの低下が著しく、圧電性を示さなくなる。
mは(K1-a-bNaaLib)m(Nb1-c-dTacSbd)O3のAサイトとBサイトの配合モル比を規定するが、mが0.9未満になるとAサイトの配合モル比が過少となって電気機械結合係数kpが大幅に低下し、同時に、微小電界時及び高電界時の双方で圧電d定数の低下が著しく、所望の圧電特性を得ることができなくなる。一方、mが1.1を超えるとAサイトの配合モル比が過剰となり、焼結不良となる。
nはM1nM2O3のAサイトとBサイトの配合モル比を規定するが、nが0.9未満になった場合や1.1を超えた場合は、いずれも電気機械結合係数kpが大幅に低下して微小電界時及び高電界時の双方で圧電d定数の低下が著しく、所望の圧電特性を得ることができなくなる。一方、nが1.1を超えるとAサイトの配合モル比が過剰となり、焼結不良が生じる。

Claims (9)
- 主成分が、一般式{(1−x)(K1-a-bNaaLib)m(Nb1-c-dTacSbd)O3―xM1nM2O3}(ただし、M1はCa、Sr及びBaの中から選択された少なくとも1種以上の金属元素、M2はTi、Zr及びSnの中から選択された少なくとも1種以上の金属元素を示す。)で表されると共に、
前記x、a、b、c、d、m、及びnが、それぞれ0.005≦x≦0.1、0≦a≦0.9、0≦b≦0.3、0≦a+b≦0.9、0≦c≦0.5、0≦d≦0.1、0.9≦m≦1.1、及び0.9≦n≦1.1の範囲にあり、
かつ、In、Sc、Y、Nd、Sm、Eu、Gd、Tb、Dy、Ho、Er、Yb、及びLuの中から選択された少なくとも1種の特定元素が、前記主成分100モルに対し総計で0.1〜10モル含有されていることを特徴とする圧電体磁器組成物。 - (M30.5Bi0.5)pM4O3(ただし、0.9≦p≦1.1、M3はK及びNaの内の少なくとも1種以上の金属元素、M4はTi、Zr及びSnの中から選択された少なくとも1種以上の金属元素を示す。)で表される化合物が、0.5以下の配合モル比で前記主成分中に含有されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の圧電体磁器組成物。
- 前記mは0.9≦m≦0.99であることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2記載の圧電体磁器組成物。
- 前記特定元素は、前記主成分100モルに対し、総計で1.5〜10モル含有されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれかに記載の圧電体磁器組成物。
- 前記主成分100モルに対し、Mn、Ni、Fe、Zn、Cu及びMgの中から選択された少なくとも1種以上の金属元素が総計で0.1〜10モル含有されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれかに記載の圧電体磁器組成物。
- 所定のセラミック素原料を秤量して湿式で混合粉砕処理を行い、平均粒径D50が0.60μm以下であって、比表面積が7.0m2/g以上20.0m2/g以下のセラミック原料粉末を作製し、該セラミック原料粉末に焼成処理を施して請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれかに記載の圧電体磁器組成物を製造することを特徴とする圧電体磁器組成物の製造方法。
- 前記比表面積が10.0m2/g以上であることを特徴とする請求項6記載の圧電体磁器組成物の製造方法。
- 圧電セラミック素体の表面に外部電極が形成された圧電セラミック電子部品において、
前記圧電セラミック素体が、請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれかに記載の圧電体磁器組成物で形成されていることを特徴とする圧電セラミック電子部品。 - 前記圧電セラミック素体に内部電極が埋設されていることを特徴とする請求項8記載の圧電セラミック電子部品。
