Description
光学システムであって:
少なくとも二つの主要面及び端を有する、光伝達基材;

前記基材の前記端の少なくとも一つは、前記主要面に対して斜めの角度に傾斜しており;
前記プリズムの前記第2の面は、前記基材の前記傾斜端に隣接して位置し、
前記傾斜端の隣に位置する前記基材の一部は、実質的に透明であり、
光波は、前記プリズムの前記第1の面を通って前記プリズムに入り、反射することなく前記プリズムを横切り、前記傾斜端を通って前記基材に入る、

前記視野は、前記基材の中に結合される光波の最低角度及び最高角度によって規定される、光学システム。

前記位相差板の少なくとも一つの少なくとも一部分を覆う、少なくとも一つの光波コリメートコンポーネント、及び
前記光波入口面又は前記光波出口面の少なくとも一つに対して斜めに置かれた、少なくとも一つの光波偏光ビームスプリッター、
を有する、光学システム。

前記表示光源から出る光波は、前記コリメートモジュールによってコリメートされ、前記プリズムを通って前記基材の中に結合される、光学システム。

Claims (7)
- ビューワーの頭部に搭載し、拡張現実ディスプレイを前記ビューワーの少なくとも一つの目に提供するヘッドマウント式ディスプレイ(HMD)システムであって:
(a) 第1主要面と前記第1主要面に平行な第2主要面とを含む複数の表面を有する光伝達基材であって、前記第1主要面及び前記第2主要面は、前記基材内で内部反射によって画像光を導く、光伝達基材と、
(b) 前記第1主要面に面する関係にある前記ビューワーの前記目に向けて前記基材の外に画像光を偏向するように構成されている、前記基材に関係する外結合機構と、
(c) 表示源及びコリメート光学系を有する、光学コンポーネントであって、前記表示源及び前記コリメート光学系は、少なくとも1つの偏光ビームスプリッタプリズムの表面に関係し、前記光学コンポーネントは、画像光出力方向へ、前記表示源から前記コリメート光学系を介して、前記少なくとも1つの偏光ビームスプリッタプリズムを通る光路を画定する、光学コンポーネントと、
を有し、
前記光路は、前記少なくとも1つの偏光ビームスプリッタを通って、前記光伝達基材の前記第1主要面の側から前記光伝達基材の前記第2主要面の側にわたって伝搬し、
前記画像光が、前記光学コンポーネントを出射した後に、前記基材の前記第1主要面において第1反射が起こるように、前記基材の中に入射されるように、前記光学コンポーネントは、前記第1主要面に関して斜めに角度をつけられた結合面を介して前記基材と光学的に統合されている、
ヘッドマウントディスプレイ(HMD)システム。 - 前記光学コンポーネントは、前記光学コンポーネントの前記画像光出力方向に対して実質的に垂直である結合面に接合することにより前記基材と光学的に統合されている、
請求項1記載のHMDシステム。 - 前記結合面は、前記基材と光学的に統合された結合プリズムの面であり、
前記結合プリズムは、前記基材の前記第2主要面より突出している、
請求項2記載のHMDシステム。 - 前記結合プリズムは、前記基材の傾斜端において前記基材に接合することにより、前記基材と光学的に統合されており、
前記傾斜端は前記第1主要面に対して鋭角に傾いている、
請求項3記載のHMDシステム。 - 前記ビューワーの前記目に向かって面する前記第1主要面を有する前記基材を支持するための支持構造をさらに有する、
請求項1記載のHMDシステム。 - 前記支持構造は、眼鏡フレームとして形成されている、
請求項5記載のHMDシステム。 - 前記外結合構造は、前記基材の内部に配置された複数の部分反射面を有し、
前記部分反射面は相互に平行であり、前記第1主要面に関して斜めに角度をつけられている、
請求項1記載のHMDシステム。
