本出願は、2015年5月29日に出願された「ENCAPSULATED POLYMERIZATION INITIATORS, POLYMERIZATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS USING THE SAME」という表題の米国特許出願No.14/725,532号の継続である、2016年4月8日に出願された「ENCAPSULATED POLYMERIZATION INITIATORS, POLYMERIZATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS USING THE SAME」という表題の米国特許出願No.15/094,705号に関連するものであり、ここに各出願の優先権の利益を主張し、参照によりこれらの出願全体を本明細書に組み込む。

Claims (15)
- 1種以上のメチレンマロネート化合物を含む第1の硬化した組成物;及び
前記第1の硬化した組成物によってカプセル化された1種以上の重合開始剤;
を含む開始剤マトリックスを含み
前記重合開始剤が、約0.1ミクロン〜約1,000ミクロンの平均粒度分布を有する球形の、非球形の、不規則な、角のある、ざらつきのある、または層状の粒子を含む、
カプセル化された開始剤粒子。 - 前記1種以上のメチレンマロネート化合物が、一官能性、二官能性、または多官能性のモノマー、またはこれらのオリゴマー、及びこれらの組み合わせである、請求項1に記載のカプセル化された開始剤粒子。
- 前記第1の硬化した組成物が、1種以上の約0℃以下のガラス転移温度のメチレンマロネート化合物である、請求項1または2に記載のカプセル化された開始剤粒子。
- 前記重合開始剤が、1種以上のアルカリ金属塩、アルカリ土類金属塩、アンモニウム塩、アミン塩、ハライド、または金属酸化物含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のカプセル化された開始剤粒子。
- 前記重合開始剤に対する前記第1の硬化した組成物の割合が重量基準で約1:1〜約2:1の比である、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のカプセル化された開始剤粒子。
- 約0.1psi以上の機械的な力がかけられると破裂する、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のカプセル化された開始剤粒子。
- シェル層を更に含み、前記シェル層が前記開始剤マトリックスを取り囲んでカプセル化し、前記シェル層が、1種以上の1,1−2置換アルケン化合物、尿素ホルムアルデヒド樹脂、ポリビニルアルコール、ゼラチン、アクリレート、及び硬化したオリゴマー系反応性モノマーで形成される1種以上の第2の硬化した組成物から形成される、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のカプセル化された開始剤粒子。
- 1種以上の1,1−2置換アルケン化合物を含む硬化性組成物と、
1種以上のメチレンマロネート化合物を含む、硬化した組成物によってカプセル化された1種以上の重合開始剤を含む、1種以上のカプセル化された開始剤粒子と、
を含む重合可能な系であって、前記1種以上の重合開始剤が、前記硬化性組成物の重合を開始することができ、および前記重合開始剤が、約0.1ミクロン〜約1,000ミクロンの平均粒度分布を有する球形の、非球形の、不規則な、角のある、ざらつきのある、または層状の粒子を含む、
重合可能な系。 - 前記カプセル化された1種以上の重合開始剤粒子が、前記硬化性組成物の中に分散されている、請求項8に記載の重合可能な系。
- 前記1種以上のメチレンマロネート化合物が、一官能性、二官能性、または多官能性のモノマー、またはこれらのオリゴマー、及びこれらの組み合わせである、請求項8または9に記載の重合可能な系。
- 基板に塗布することができ、1つ以上の前記カプセル化された開始剤粒子が破裂すると前記硬化性組成物の重合を開始することができる、請求項8〜10のいずれか1項に記載の重合可能な系。
- 前記1種以上の重合開始剤に対する前記硬化した組成物の割合が重量基準で約1:1〜約2:1の比である、請求項8〜11のいずれか1項に記載の重合可能な系。
- 前記カプセル化された重合開始剤粒子が、単核または多核カプセル化開始剤粒子である、請求項8〜12のいずれか1項に記載の重合可能な系。
- 前記カプセル化された重合開始剤粒子が、さらに当該カプセル化された重合開始剤粒子を囲み、およびカプセル化するシェル層を含む、請求項8〜13のいずれか1項に記載の重合可能な系。
- 周囲条件で約20週間以上の保存可能期間を有する、請求項8〜14のいずれか1項に記載の重合可能な系。
