同じ炭素原子に結合する基Rが、互いに環構造を形成するならば、これが、本発明の好ましい態様であり、以下の式(a)、式(b)または式(c)の構造である。

以下の合成は、特に断らなければ、保護ガス雰囲気下、無水溶媒中で行われる。金属錯体は、追加的に遮光下で取り扱われる。溶媒と試薬は、たとえば、Sigma-AldricまたはABCRから、購入することができる。文献から知られた化学化合物の括弧内の数は、CAS番号を指す。
変種A:
100mlの氷酢酸中の、10mlの四塩化白金酸カリウム、10mlのリガンドLと50ミリモルの(無水)酢酸リチウムの混合物が、還流下60h加熱される。冷却された反応混合物への100mlのメタノールと100mlの水の添加後、固形物は吸引濾過され、25mlのメタノールでその度毎に五度洗浄され、真空乾燥される。こうして得られた固形物は、熱抽出機中で3cmの深さのセライトベッド(酸化アルミニウム、塩基性、活性度1)の上に置かれ、次いで示された抽出剤(最初に約300mlの量で導入される)で抽出される。抽出が終わると、抽出物は、真空中で約100mlまで蒸発される。抽出剤中で過度に良好な溶解度を有する金属錯体が、200mlのメタノールの滴下により結晶化される。こうして得られた懸濁液の固形物は、吸引濾過され、50mlのメタノールで一度洗浄され、乾燥される。乾燥後、金属錯体の純度が、NMRおよび/またはHPLCにより測定される。純度が、99.5%未満であると熱抽出工程が繰り返され、純度99.5−99.9%が達成されると、Pt錯体が昇華される。昇華は約350〜約390℃の範囲の温度で高真空(p約10−6mbar)中で実行され、昇華は、好ましくは、分別昇華の形で実行される。
50mlのベンゾニトリル中の10mlのビス(ベンゾニトリル)白金(II)ジクロライドと10mlのリガンドLの混合物が、還流下24h加熱される。冷却された反応混合物への100mlのメタノールの滴下後、固形物は吸引濾過され、25mlのメタノールでその度毎に五度洗浄され、真空乾燥される。残りの仕上げは、変種Aの場合に記載したとおりである。
本発明によるOLEDと先行技術によるOLEDが、WO 2004/058911にしたがう一般的プロセスにより製造されるが、ここに記載される状況(層の厚さの変化、使用材料)に適合される。
本発明の化合物は、特に、OLEDでの発光層中で燐光エミッター材料として使用することができる。化合物Pt(Ref1)とPt(Ref2)は、先行技術にしたがう比較として使用される。OLEDに対する結果は、表2に要約される。ここで、OLEDにおいて、本発明の材料が、効率的な青色〜緑色発光OLEDをもたらすことが明らかである。

R3は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、D、Fまたは1〜20個のC原子を有する脂肪族もしくは芳香族炭化水素基である。 - 式(2)中のブリッジ基C(R)2が同一に選ばれることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の化合物。
- R1は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、F、N(R2)2、CN、1〜10個のC原子を有する直鎖アルキル基、2〜10個のC原子を有するアルケニル基、3〜10個のC原子を有する分岐あるいは環状アルキル基(夫々は、1以上の基R2により置換されてよく、1以上のH原子は、Fで置き代えられてよい。)または、各場合に、1以上の基R2により置換されてよい5〜30個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造より成る群から選ばれ;ここで、隣接する基Ar1とAr2上の2個の隣接する基R1もしくは2個の基R1は、モノあるいはポリ環式の脂肪族環構造を互いに形成してもよいことを特徴とする、請求項1または2記載の化合物
- Rは、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、1〜10個のC原子を有する直鎖アルキル基、3〜10個のC原子を有する分岐あるいは環状アルキル基(夫々は、1以上の基R2により置換されてよく、1以上のH原子は、Fで置き代えられてよい。)または、各場合に、1以上の基R2により置換されてよい5〜18個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造であって、;ここで、同じ炭素原子に結合する2個以上の基Rは、モノあるいはポリ環式の脂肪族もしくは芳香族環構造を互いに形成してもよいことを特徴とする、請求項1〜3何れか1項記載の化合物。
- 以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4何れか1項記載の化合物:
Mは、Pt(II)であり;
Dは、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、CまたはNであり、ここで、二個の基DはNであり、その他の二個の基DはCであり;
Aは、Nであり;
Ar3は、請求項1で定義されるとおりであり;
Ar1は、請求項1で定義されるとおりであり;
Ar2は、請求項1で定義されるとおりであり;
R1は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、F、N(R2)2、CN、1〜10個のC原子を有する直鎖アルキル基、2〜10個のC原子を有するアルケニル基、3〜10個のC原子を有する分岐あるいは環状アルキル基(夫々は、1以上の基R2により置換されてよく1以上のH原子は、Fで置き代えられてよい。)または、各場合に、1以上の基R2により置換されてよい5〜30個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造であり;ここで、隣接する基Ar1とAr2上の2個の隣接する基R1もしくは2個の基R1は、モノあるいはポリ環式の脂肪族環構造を互いに形成してもよく;
R 2 は、請求項1で定義されるとおりであり;
Rは、同一であるか異なり、H、1〜10個のC原子を有する直鎖アルキル基、3〜10個のC原子を有する分岐あるいは環状アルキル基(夫々は、1以上の基R2により置換されてよく、1以上のH原子は、Fで置き代えられてよい。)または、各場合に、1以上の基R2により置換されてよい5〜18個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造であって;ここで、同じ炭素原子に結合する2個以上の基Rは、モノあるいはポリ環式の脂肪族もしくは芳香族環構造を互いに形成してもよい。 - 遊離リガンドと金属化合物との反応による、請求項1〜5何れか1項記載の化合物の製造方法。
- 少なくとも一つの請求項1〜5何れか1項記載の化合物と少なくとも一つの溶媒とを含む調合物または少なくとも一つの請求項1〜5何れか1項記載の化合物と少なくともさらなる化合物とを含む混合物。
- 請求項1〜5何れか1項記載の化合物の、有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子、有機集積回路、有機電界効果トランジスタ、有機薄膜トランジスタ、有機発光トランジスタ、有機太陽電池、有機光学検査素子、有機光受容素子、有機電場消光素子、発光電子化学電池もしくは有機レーザーダイオードから選ばれる電子素子での使用。
- 少なくとも一つの請求項1〜5何れか1項記載の化合物を含む、有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子、有機集積回路、有機電界効果トランジスタ、有機薄膜トランジスタ、有機発光トランジスタ、有機太陽電池、有機光学検査素子、有機光受容素子、有機電場消光素子、発光電子化学電池もしくは有機レーザーダイオードから選ばれる電子素子。
- 請求項1〜5何れか1項記載の化合物が、一以上の発光層中で、発光化合物として使用されることを特徴とする有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子である請求項9記載の電子素子。
