Description
ハロゲンフリーの難燃性樹脂組成物には、難燃剤として、水酸化マグネシウムや水酸化アルミニウムなどの金属水和物が用いられる。特許文献1では、エチレン・酢酸ビニル共重合体100質量部に対し、金属水和物200〜300質量部と、硼酸亜鉛5〜60質量部が配合されている。
そこで本発明は、上記従来技術の問題点を解決し、機械的特性を維持しつつ難燃性を高めることができ、かつ、耐熱性にも優れたハロゲンフリーの難燃性樹脂組成物を提供することを課題とする。
本発明の第三の側面によれば、複数の絶縁電線を含む電線束と;前記電線束の外周を保護する、本発明に係る難燃性樹脂組成物を含む絶縁保護材と;を備えるワイヤーハーネスが提供される。このワイヤーハーネスは、自動車用途(車両用途)であることが好ましい。
この(A1)プロピレン重合体は、構成モノマーの90質量%以上がプロピレンである重合体であり、プロピレン(共)重合体とも記載できる。すなわち、プロピレン単独重合体とプロピレン共重合体の双方を意味している。
このプロピレン重合体として、少なくとも1種類の単独重合体および/または共重合体を含むことができ、たとえば1種類以上の単独重合体と1種類以上の共重合体とを組み合わせて使用してもよい。
プロピレン重合体の分子量(質量平均分子量;GPC法により測定、標準ポリスチレン換算)については、特に限定はされないが、成形性の観点から2万〜30万程度であることが好ましい。
ポリプロピレンの立体規則性は、特に限定されず、通常のラジカル重合で合成されるアタクチック構造でもよいし、立体規則性のあるアイソタクチック構造またはシンジオタクチック構造でもよい。
共重合成分の種類や数について、特に限定はされないが、たとえば、炭素数2または4〜8のオレフィン、(メタ)アクリル酸、酢酸ビニル、(メタ)アクリロニトリル等が挙げられ、これらを単独で、または複数種を組み合わせて使用できる。ここで、(メタ)アクリル酸とはアクリル酸とメタクリル酸の双方を意味しており、それらの誘導体の表示についても同様である。
共重合形式は、ランダム共重合、ブロック共重合、グラフト共重合のいずれでもよいが、ランダム共重合体であることが好ましい。
オレフィン系熱可塑性エラストマーは、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン等のオレフィン系樹脂をハードセグメントとし、オレフィン系ゴムをソフトセグメントとするものである。ハードセグメントのマトリックスに中にソフトセグメント(ドメイン)を微分散させたブレンドタイプ(ポリマーアロイ)が代表的であるが、ハードセグメントとソフトセグメントを共重合したタイプを用いることもできる。オレフィン系ゴムとしては、エチレン−プロピレンゴム(EPRまたはEPM)、エチレン−プロピレン−ジエンゴム(EPDM)が挙げられる。これらの複数種を組み合わせて使用してもよい。
市販品として、三菱化学(株)製のサーモランシリーズ、住友化学(株)製のエスポレックスTPEシリーズ、等の各製品を好ましく使用できる。
市販品として、三菱化学(株)製のラバロンシリーズ、住友化学(株)製のエスポレックスSBシリーズ、等の各製品を好ましく使用できる。
たとえば、プロピレン(共)重合体以外のポリオレフィン樹脂(ポリエチレン、エチレン・ブテン−1共重合体、ポリ1−ブテン、ポリ1−ペンテン、ポリ4−メチルペンテン−1、ポリブタジエン、ポリイソプレン等)、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体、エチレン−(メタ)アクリレート共重合体、アクリロニトリル−ブタジエンゴム、アクリロニトリル−ブタジエン−スチレン共重合体、ポリスチレン、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリブタジエンテレフタレート、ポリカーボネート、ポリアミド、石油樹脂系炭化水素(石油樹脂、水添石油樹脂、テルペン樹脂、水添テルペン樹脂等)等が挙げられ、これらの複数種を併用してもよい。
これらの他の樹脂を添加する場合は、成分(A1)と(A2)の合計100質量部に対して、50質量部以下の範囲であることが好ましく、より好ましくは 10質量部以下、さらに好ましくは5重量部以下の範囲で配合することができる。
このように、ベース樹脂100質量部に対し金属水和物の配合量が100質量部以下という少ない量であっても、充分な難燃性を備えた成形品を製造することができる。
市販品としては、チバ・ジャパン(株)製のイルガノックスシリーズ(イルガノックス1010、1035、1076、1098、1135、1330、1726、1425、1520、245、259、3114等)を使用することができる。
さらに、上記特殊金属石鹸が、ベース樹脂100質量部に対し、0.1質量部以上配合されること、すなわち金属石鹸中の20質量%以上を占めることことが好ましい。
すなわち、本発明に係る絶縁電線は、導体となる撚線の外周面を本発明に係る樹脂組成物により被覆した被覆電線であり、複数の導線からなる撚線と、樹脂組成物を用いて形成される絶縁被覆層とを含む。
導線(素線)の組成、直径などは特に限定されず、また撚線を構成する素線の本数なども特に限定されない。さらに、被覆層の厚みも特に限定されないが、たとえば0.2〜〜0.3mmとすることができる。
すなわち、本発明に係るワイヤーハーネス(ケーブルともいう。)は、複数の絶縁電線を含む電線束と、電線束の外周を保護する絶縁保護材であって、上記本発明に係る樹脂組成物を含む絶縁保護材とを備える。
<実施例および比較例>
表に示す配合比で、ベース樹脂に対し各成分を配合し、ヘンシェルミキサーで予備混合した。
ポリプロピレン樹脂(ポリプロピレン単独重合体):サンアロマー(株)製「PS201A」(MFR(JIS K6921−2、230℃、2.16kg)0.5g/10分)
オレフィン系熱可塑性エラストマー:三菱化学(株)製「サーモランZ102B」(MFR(JIS K7210−1999、230℃、21.2N)9g/10分、密度(JIS K7112−1999、水中置換法)0.88g/cm3)
水酸化マグネシウム:協和化学工業(株)製「キスマ5A」(ステアリン酸処理水酸化マグネシウム)(平均粒径1.0μm)
フェノール系酸化防止剤:チバ・ジャパン(株)製「イルガノックス1010」
金属石鹸(1)(特殊金属石鹸):日東化成工業(株)製「MS−7」(ベヘン酸マグネシウム、金属含有量2.9〜3.7質量%)
金属石鹸(2):川村化成工業(株)製ステアリン酸カルシウム
樹脂組成物またはノンハロゲン絶縁電線に対し、次の試験を行なった。評価結果を併せて表に示す。
<引張伸び>
JIS K 7161に準拠し、試験片としては1mm厚プレスシートを、ダンベルで3号型に打抜いたものを使用した。引っ張り速度は50mm/分とした。伸び率300%以上を○、300%未満を×として評価した。
ノンハロゲン絶縁電線に対し、ISO 6722に準じた難燃性試験を行なった。70秒以内に消炎したものを○、しなかったものを×として評価した。
ISO−6722に準拠して、ノンハロゲン絶縁電線の耐摩耗性を調べた。往復300回以上で導通の無いものを○、導通が生じるまでの回数が300回未満のものを×として評価した。
樹脂組成物を、あらかじめヘンシェルミキサーなどの高速混合装置を用いてプリブレンドした後、単軸混練機を用いて混練した。温度条件は、配合組成物の融点+20℃となるように設定した。ヘッドからの吐出量が50g/分以上のものを○、50g/分未満を×として評価した。
ISO−6722に準拠して、ノンハロゲン絶縁電線の長期耐熱性を調べた。割れがないものを合格、割れが確認されたものを不合格として評価した。
Claims (3)
- (A1)構成モノマーの90質量%以上がプロピレンであるプロピレン重合体、および(A2)オレフィン系および/またはスチレン系熱可塑性エラストマーを含む(A)ベース樹脂と、(B)金属水和物と、(C)フェノール系酸化防止剤と、(D)金属石鹸とを含み、
前記(A)ベース樹脂中の(A1)プロピレン重合体と(A2)熱可塑性エラストマー(A2)の配合比率(A1):(A2)が質量比で9:1〜7:3であり、
前記(A)ベース樹脂100質量部に対し、前記(B)金属水和物が50〜100質量部、前記(C)フェノール系酸化防止剤が0.5〜4質量部、および前記(D)金属石鹸が0.5〜2質量部、の範囲でそれぞれ配合され、かつ、
前記(D)金属石鹸のうち、(A)ベース樹脂100質量部に対し0.1質量部以上は、ベヘン酸のカルシウム塩、マグネシウム塩、亜鉛塩、アルミニウム塩、またはリチウム塩であることを特徴とする難燃性樹脂組成物。 - 複数の導線からなる撚線と、
前記撚線の外周面に設けられる、請求項1記載の難燃性樹脂組成物を含む絶縁被覆層と、
を備える自動車用ノンハロゲン絶縁電線。 - 複数の絶縁電線を含む電線束と、
前記電線束の外周を保護する、請求項1記載の難燃性樹脂組成物を含む絶縁保護材と、
を備える自動車用ワイヤーハーネス。
