コンピュータシステムが、画像データ内のコントローラに関連付けられた形状を検出するために画像データを解析することで、前記キャプチャ領域内での前記コントローラの二次元位置を算出し、
前記コントローラがキャプチャ領域内にある間に、前記コントローラから発生した音声をサウンドキャプチャデバイスによってキャプチャするステップを有し、かつ、
前記コンピュータシステムが、前記音声がサウンドキャプチャデバイスに到達するまでの時間を解析することで、前記キャプチャ領域内での前記コントローラの第3の次元の位置を算出し、更に、
前記第3の次元の位置を算出するステップは、
前記音声が前記コントローラから前記サウンドキャプチャデバイスに到達するまでの伝達時間に基づいて、前記コントローラから前記サウンドキャプチャデバイスまでの距離を算出するステップと、

前記距離に基づいて前記キャプチャ領域内での深度を算出する、システム。 - 前記コントローラは、前記キャプチャされた画像データを前記コンピューティングシステムに送信する請求項25に記載のシステム。
- 前記コントローラ内部のプロセッサが、前記キャプチャされた画像データに基づいて前記コントローラの位置を算出し、前記コントローラは、前記算出された位置を前記コンピューティングシステムに送信する請求項25に記載のシステム。
- 1つ以上のプロセッサによって実行されると、コンピューティングシステムのコンピュータプログラムとユーザの手に把持されるコントローラとの間で通信を確立するためのコンピュータ可読記憶媒体に搭載されたコンピュータプログラムであって、
ディスプレイ前方のキャプチャ領域の画像キャプチャデバイスで画像データをキャプチャするプログラム命令と、
画像データ内のコントローラに関連付けられた形状を検出するために、コンピューティングシステムによって画像データを解析することで、前記キャプチャ領域内での前記コントローラの二次元位置を計算するプログラム命令と、
前記コントローラがキャプチャ領域内にある間に、前記コントローラから発生した音声をサウンドキャプチャデバイスによってキャプチャするプログラム命令と、
前記コンピュータシステムによって、前記音声が前記サウンドキャプチャデバイスに到達するまでの時間を解析することで、前記キャプチャ領域内での前記コントローラの第3の次元の位置を算出するプログラム命令と、を含み、
前記第3の次元の位置の算出では、
前記音声が前記コントローラから前記サウンドキャプチャデバイスに到達するまでの伝達時間に基づいて、前記コントローラから前記サウンドキャプチャデバイスまでの距離を算出し、
前記距離に基づいて前記キャプチャ領域内での深度を算出する、コンピュータプログラム。
