L'invention concerne la réalisation d'un système de jeu mettant en oeuvre un programme sur ordinateur et des jouets communicants, agissant sur le déroulement du programme à distance.
L'invention est constituée a) d'un programme informatique de jeu pour micro ordinateur personnel, b) associé à des jouets disposant d'un moyen de transfert de signaux vers l'ordinateur, ou bien c) associé à des moyens de transfert de signaux vers l'ordinateur, destinés à équiper des jouets.
Une telle invention destinées à des enfants, des adolescents et même des adultes permet d'enrichir le jeu et d'étendre son espace.
En effet, le jouet équipé d'un moyen de transfert de signaux vers l'ordinateur, pilote le déroulement du programme à distance et selon un scénario adapté et interactif.
L'ordinateur accompagne, anime, et offre une représentation du jeu de l'enfant avec son jouet, auquel l'enfant répond par des actions directes sur le jouet.
L'ordinateur peut également étendre dans le cadre du programme les possibilités du jeu à plusieurs partenaires, chacun jouant avec ses jouets et son ordinateur en réseau.
Ceci s'il est muni d'un moyen de communication par ligne téléphonique ou autre, de type internet.
L'ordinateur devient alors un vecteur de jeu en commun, chaque joueur pilotant son intervention dans le jeu par les actions sur ses jouets, à distance de son ordinateur.

Un tel système de jeu est confronté à une exigence de compatibilité avec moyens informatiques standards existant pour que son usage soit généralisé.
Il est également confronté à une exigence simplicité et de coût faible du moyen de transfert de signaux.
En effet, l'usage premier du jouet étant indépendant du jouet interactif, ce moyen de transfert devrait idéalement être intégré sans représenter un surcoût préjudiciable.
Idéalement, ce moyen de transfert de signaux et sa manifestation devrait se justifier dans l'usage commun du jouet.
Idéalement, l'ordinateur devrait percevoir ces signaux sans autre périphérique que ceux intégrés dans une solution complète multimédia.
Nous connaissons des systèmes décrits dans des demandes antérieures ou déjà réalisées, tels que des consoles de jeu en communauté sur internet, des poupées ou ours en peluche en liaison radio avec un ordinateurs muni d'un périphérique d'émission réception radio, des concepts basés sur l'usage futur de la norme Bluetooth...
Aucun de ces concept ne permet de jouer à distance de l'ordinateur et en interaction avec celui-ci, avec ses jouets traditionnels, sans sur-coût pour les jouet, sans sur-équipement et sur-coût de la solution informatique, sans complexité de mise en oeuvre, et sans la servitude qu'entraînerait le renouvellement fréquent de batteries d'un moyen de transfert de signaux disséminé dans un multitude de jouets. La simplicité le coût et l'autonomie du moyen de transfert sont primordiaux.

L'invention prend en compte tous ces critères dans une définition très simple du système ; elle sera illustrée par quelques exemple simple de mise en oeuvre et d'application généralisable à d'autres.

Ce programme comporte son propre système d'auto démarrage et de configuration automatique, les routines de pilotage des périphériques, les scénarios du jeu interactif et - des jouets disposant d'un moyen de transfert de signaux vers l'ordinateur.

Sa durée et son occurrence est régie par le joueur. Le son peut éventuellement être modulé en puissance à fréquence fixe.

La fréquence du son identifie et caractérise l'action, elle est l'élément significatif dans l'interaction du programme.
Ainsi selon l'invention - un transducteur piloté par un résonateur accordé alimenté par une batterie de longue durée, répond aux critères revendiqués.
Il est représenté en 2 figure 1.
Selon une version optimisée de mise en oeuvre de l'invention chaque transducteur émet plusieurs fréquence pures, chacune sous commande de signaux différents, chacune est identifiée et reconnue par le programme.
Chaque fréquence pure porte, identifie et caractérise un signal.
L'ordinateur multimédia standard est équipé d'un micro et de hauts parleurs. Il est représenté en 4 figure 1.
Le son 3 figure 1 est reçu par le micro activé par le programme, ainsi que tous les bruit environnants.
Le programme pilote un traitement de fourrier rapide du son digitalisé autour des fréquences attendues selon le contexte et le scénario. (Ces fréquence sont celles des transducteurs susceptible d'émettre dans le cours du jeu). Les fréquences pures dont le niveau sort du bruit ambiant correspondent aux signaux attendus, un comparateur de niveau valide la détection, et le signal est qualifié par sa fréquence, son intensité, et sa durée. Un tel traitement permet une détection sensible à distance de quelques mètres, à faible niveau d'émission et malgré un environnement bruité. La pureté des sons émis contribue à les discriminer du bruit ambiant.
La détection du son est le signal pilotant l'évolution du scénario du jeu.

Selon l'invention, dans le cours du jeu, il peut être mis en oeuvre une pluralité de transducteurs à fréquence unique ou un ou plusieurs transducteurs à fréquence multiples, chacune des fréquence sous commande d'un signal.
Les fréquences seront réparties de façon régulières, par exemple selon les tons ou les demis tons de la gamme, (c'est à dire selon une répartition exponentielle).
Selon l'invention, dans le cours du jeu, deux transducteurs peuvent transmettre en même temps.
Les deux signaux seront alors reçus traités et détectés simultanément.
Selon l'invention et son type de mise en oeuvre, la puissance du son sera minimisée tant pour une question de confort d'utilisation que pour une question de durée de vie de la pile ou la batterie.
Selon ces critères, les fréquences seront soit dans la gamme audible, en deçà de 5 khz, soit dans le proche infrason, de 5 à 20 khz.
Selon un mode de mise en oeuvre recommandé pour son économie, le transducteur est un disque piézoélectrique, le résonateur un circuit intégré oscillant et la batterie miniature, de type bouton, au lithium, à l'oxyde d'argent ou zinc-air.
Selon la version non optimisée, le circuit résonnant est accordé sur une fréquence unique si possible la fréquence de résonance propre du disque piézoélectrique.

Selon la version optimisée, le circuit résonnant est piloté par différents signaux et génère une pluralité de fréquences, correspondant chacune à un signal.
Selon une mise en oeuvre recommandée pour sa souplesse et sa fidélité sonore, le transducteur sera un haut parleur à membrane.
Le signal est activé par la fermeture d'un simple interrupteur.
L'autonomie de la batterie est préservée en l'absence de signal. La durée d'émission du signal est restreinte, par exemple par un condensateur en série avec l'interrupteur.

Claims (10)
1) Système de jeu mettant en oeuvre un programme pour micro- ordinateur personnel de type multimédia, et des jouets communicants, agissant sur le déroulement du programme à distance caractérisé en ce que : - les jouets comportent des transducteurs qui émettent des signaux sonores ou ultrasonores.
