Claims (15)
- 基材上にパターンを形成するように、ゲート剤組成物を前記基材上に噴射するステップと、
前記基材上における前記ゲート剤組成物の前記パターンにより覆われない領域に、印刷イメージを形成するように、印刷剤を前記基材に塗布するステップと、
を含んで構成され、
前記ゲート剤組成物は、
前記印刷剤の前記基材への塗布を阻止する、約0.05重量%〜約10重量%のブロック剤、
約3重量%以下の表面張力調整剤、
前記ゲート剤組成物の粘度を約1mPa・s〜約14mPa・sの範囲内とするための約8重量%以下の粘度調整剤、及び、
溶媒を含んで構成される前記ゲート剤組成物の残部、
を含んで構成され、
前記ゲート剤組成物は、約40ダイン/cm未満の静的表面張力を有する、
高速可変印刷方法。 - 前記ゲート剤組成物は、前記印刷剤が塗布される前に前記基材上に噴射され、かつ、前記ゲート剤組成物が噴射された領域にて、前記印刷剤が前記基材に付着することを抑制する、請求項1に記載の高速可変印刷方法。
- 前記基材は、前記印刷イメージが形成される媒体である、請求項2に記載の高速可変印刷方法。
- 前記基材は、前記印刷イメージを最終の印刷媒体に転写する媒介物の表面である、請求項2に記載の高速可変印刷方法。
- 前記ゲート剤組成物は、前記印刷剤が塗布された後に前記基材上に噴射され、かつ、前記ゲート剤組成物が噴射された領域にて、前記印刷剤が最終の印刷媒体に転写されることをブロックする、請求項1に記載の高速可変印刷方法。
- 前記基材は、印刷胴である、請求項4に記載の高速可変印刷方法。
- 前記ゲート剤組成物は、識別可能な量の染料、顔料、又は、他の着色料、を含有しない、請求項1に記載の高速可変印刷方法。
- 前記印刷イメージは、各イメージごとに変更される、請求項1に記載の高速可変印刷方法。
- 前記印刷イメージは、変更されない固定イメージ領域を有する、請求項1に記載の高速可変印刷方法。
- 前記表面張力調整剤は、約15〜約30の親水性−親油性バランスを有する非イオン性界面活性剤を含んで構成される、請求項1に記載の高速可変印刷方法。
- 前記ゲート剤組成物は、約3mPa・s〜約5mPa・sの範囲内の粘度を有する、請求項1に記載の高速可変印刷方法。
- 少なくとも1つの表面を有するハウジングと、
前記1つの表面に取り付けられ、かつ、要求に応じて各々が液滴を噴射可能な一連の噴射ノズルと、
前記噴射ノズルと連通するゲート剤組成物用供給源と、
を含んで構成され、
前記ゲート剤組成物は、
印刷剤の基材への塗布を阻止する、約0.05重量%〜約10重量%のブロック剤、
約3重量%以下の表面張力調整剤、
前記ゲート剤組成物の粘度を約1mPa・s〜約14mPa・sの範囲内とするための約8重量%以下の粘度調整剤、及び、
溶媒を含んで構成される前記ゲート剤組成物の残部、
を含んで構成され、
