【解決手段】同軸端子20,50をハウジング30,60で保持するプラグコネクタIそしてレセプタクルコネクタIIとを備え、プラグコネクタIのハウジング30とレセプタクルコネクタIIのハウジング60は、両ハウジングの所定嵌合位置で係合して互いの抜出を阻止する解除可能なロック機構32,63Aを有し、ロック状態で同軸端子20,50の挿抜方向となる軸線方向での同軸端子同士の相対移動範囲が同軸端子同士の嵌合開始時での中心端子21,52同士そして外側端子22,55同士の接触開始位置から嵌合終了時の接触終了位置までの距離として示される中心端子有効嵌合長そして外側端子有効嵌合長の短い方をなす最小有効嵌合長よりも小さく設定されており、最小有効嵌合長の軸線方向範囲が特定インピーダンスに整合されている。

Claims (7)
- 同軸ケーブルの中心端子と該中心端子を包囲する外側端子を有する同軸端子を電気絶縁材のハウジングで保持するプラグコネクタそしてレセプタクルコネクタとを備え、少なくとも一方がケーブルコネクタである同軸コネクタ組立体において、
プラグコネクタのハウジングとレセプタクルコネクタのハウジングは、両ハウジングの所定嵌合位置で係合して互いの抜出を阻止する解除可能なロック機構を有し、ロック状態で上記同軸端子の挿抜方向となる軸線方向での同軸端子同士の相対移動範囲が上記同軸端子同士の嵌合開始時での中心端子同士そして外側端子同士の接触開始位置から嵌合終了時の接触終了位置までの距離として示される中心端子有効嵌合長そして外側端子有効嵌合長の短い方をなす最小有効嵌合長よりも小さく設定されており、
上記最小有効嵌合長の軸線方向範囲が特定インピーダンスに整合されていることを特徴とする同軸コネクタ組立体。 - 上記プラグコネクタと上記レセプタクルコネクタの一方のコネクタの同軸端子の外側端子は、中心端子の中心接触部に対する軸線方向での対応範囲よりも小径で該対応範囲から他方のコネクタの同軸端子に向け延びる外側接触部を有し、他方のコネクタの同軸端子の外側端子は、誘電体に外装される外装基部よりも小径で軸線方向で中心端子の途中位置まで延びる外側接触部を有し、他方のコネクタの同軸端子の中心端子は、軸線方向で外側端子よりも一方のコネクタの同軸端子の方へ突出する中心接触部の径が該他方のコネクタの同軸端子の上記外側接触部で包囲された部分よりも大きいこととする請求項1に記載の同軸コネクタ組立体。
- 上記プラグコネクタと上記レセプタクルコネクタの同軸端子同士間の相対移動範囲は、両コネクタのロック状態における軸線方向でのハウジング同士間の隙間と、各ハウジングとこれに対応する外側端子との間の軸線方向でのガタとの和で定まる範囲であることとする請求項1または請求項2に記載の同軸コネクタ組立体。
- 上記プラグコネクタ及び上記レセプタクルコネクタは、上記同軸端子を複数収容していることとする請求項1ないし請求項3のうちの一つに記載の同軸コネクタ組立体。
- 上記レセプタクルコネクタは、該レセプタクルコネクタのハウジング内に金属製のシールドシェルを有し、該シールドシェルが複数の中心端子、誘電体そして外側端子を一括して収容するように形成され、該レセプタクルコネクタと上記プラグコネクタとの嵌合状態では、上記シールドシェルのコネクタ嵌合側部分が上記プラグコネクタのハウジング内に進入して該プラグコネクタの外側端子と接触するようになっていることとする請求項1ないし請求項4のうちの一つに記載の同軸コネクタ組立体。
- 上記シールドシェルは、上記レセプタクルコネクタの各外側端子を離隔状態で包囲支持する支持筒部を有していることとする請求項5に記載の同軸コネクタ組立体。
- 上記プラグコネクタは、同軸端子の位置を定めるリテーナを有していることとする請求項1ないし請求項5のうちの一つに記載の同軸コネクタ組立体。
