Abstract
Description
本発明の分野はエーロゲル複合材料(aerogel composite materials)である。より詳細には、本発明は、結果として生じた複合材料が従来のエーロゲル複合材料製品に比べて下記の性質:エーロゲルが焼結する度合が低いこと;より高い温度性能(higher temperature performance);柔軟性およびドレープ適性(drapeability)が向上していること;耐久性が向上していること;エーロゲル粒子の放出(shedding)が低下していること;x−y面の熱伝導率が高いこと;x−y面の導電率が高いこと;無線干渉(RFI)および/または電磁干渉(EMI)減衰が向上していること;赤外線(IR)隠蔽力が向上していること;そして/または耐焼け落ち性(burn−through resistance)が向上していること;の中の1つ以上に関して向上した性能を示すエーロゲル複合材料に向けたものである。そのような繊維補強材(fiber reinforcement)は好適にはロフティーな(lofty)繊維構造物(バット)と不規則に配向している短い個々の微細繊維(microfibers)と伝導層の組み合わせである。より詳細には、両方の繊維補強材とも有機(例えば熱可塑性ポリエステル)または耐火性(例えばシリカ)繊維のいずれかが基になっている。

- 更に0.1から100μmの直径を有しかつ5を超えるアスペクト比を示す微細繊維も含有することを特徴とする請求項1−2のいずれか1に記載の複合材料製品。
- 熱伝導率が1W/m・kに等しいか或はそれ以上である高熱伝導性材料を含んで成る1種以上の要素を更に含有することを特徴とする請求項1−3のいずれか1に記載の複合材料製品。
- 前記繊維バットが50mW/m・K未満の熱伝導率を示す繊維で構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1−4のいずれか1に記載の複合材料。
- 前記繊維バットが10以下のデニールを有する繊維から作られたバットであることを特徴とする請求項1−5のいずれか1に記載の複合材料。
- 更に微分散しているドーパントもこの複合材料の総重量の1−20重量%の量で含有する請求項1−6のいずれか1に記載の複合材料。
- 前記繊維バットの繊維が約0.1から100μmの直径を有しそしてこれらがこの複合材料の全体に渡ってむらなく分散しているけん縮を受けた繊維であることを特徴とする請求項1−7のいずれか1に記載の複合材料。
- 前記バットが0.04から0.1g/ccの密度を有する請求項1−8のいずれか1に記載の複合材料。
- 前記微細繊維が示す熱伝導率が200mW/m・K未満であることを特徴とする請求項3記載の複合材料。
- 前記微細繊維が前記繊維バットが焼結に抵抗する度合よりも高い度合で焼結に抵抗する材料で出来ていることを特徴とする請求項3および10のいずれか1に記載の複合材料。
- 前記微細繊維が前記繊維バットがこの複合材料を通る赤外線の透過率を低くする度合よりも大きな度合で低くする材料で出来ていることを特徴とする請求項3および10のいずれか1に記載の複合材料。
- 前記高熱伝導性材料が柔順性のある金属であり、前記柔順性のある金属が、この複合材料に、この複合材料が曲げられた後にこの複合材料がこれの形状を保持し得ると言った順
応性を与えていることを特徴とする請求項4−12のいずれか1に記載の複合材料。 - この複合材料がx−y水平面とz垂直面を有しそして前記高熱伝導性材料がこの複合材料のx−y面の中に配列している度合の方がz垂直面の中に配列している度合よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項4−13のいずれか1に記載の複合材料。
- 前記高熱伝導性材料が局所的熱負荷から熱を伝導で取り除きそしてそれを環境に放出させることを特徴とする、環境における熱負荷近くの熱絶縁体として用いられる請求項4−14のいずれか1に記載の複合材料。
- 前記高熱伝導性材料が金属であるかまたは炭素繊維であることを特徴とする請求項4−15のいずれか1に記載の複合材料。
