Abstract

La invención se refiere a un método mejorado para producir aerogel de sílice en forma de lámina pura y flexible que tiene una supresión efectiva del transporte de calor radiativo a altas temperaturas y una mayor propiedad de aislamiento térmico. La supresión del transporte de calor radiativo se logró mediante la producción in situ de nanopartículas de dióxido de titanio en concentraciones muy pequeñas durante la gelificación del precursor de sílice, con una superficie nanoporosa superior a 300 m2/g y actúa como un agente reflector de infrarrojos. Cuando el aerogel se somete a calor durante el aislamiento del objeto caliente, se convierte automáticamente en material reflector de infrarrojos. Dicho aerogel de sílice puede incorporarse individualmente en la matriz de la estera de fibra inorgánica o en dos o más capas con una lámina de esponja orgánica colocada entre ellas y unida para formar una lámina intercalada para formar una lámina flexible altamente aislante.
