本発明に係る圧着端子の実施形態の1つを図1から図14に基づいて説明する。

Claims (5)
- 相手側端子に対して電気的に接続される端子接続部と、
第1金型と第2金型とに挟まれた圧着加工によって、内壁面側に載置された電線の端部に対して電気的に接続される板状の電線接続部と、
を備え、
前記電線接続部は、前記圧着加工の際に前記電線の端部が載置される底部と、前記底部の両端から各々延在させ、前記圧着加工によって前記電線の端部における先端の芯線から被覆までの間に巻き付ける第1及び第2のバレル片部と、を有し、
前記第1バレル片部と前記第2バレル片部の内の少なくとも一方は、前記圧着加工の際の折れ曲がりの起点になると共に、前記電線の端部の軸線方向に沿い且つ前記電線の端部における前記先端の芯線側から前記被覆側までの間に渡って形成された直線状の溝部を少なくとも1つ有することを特徴とした圧着端子。 - 前記溝部は、前記底部に載置された前記電線の端部よりも前記延在方向における先端側に設けることを特徴とした請求項1に記載の圧着端子。
- 前記第2バレル片部を前記第1バレル片部よりも長く延在させた場合、前記溝部は、前記第2バレル片部に設けることを特徴とした請求項1又は2に記載の圧着端子。
- 前記溝部は、前記電線側の高剛性部位と前記延在方向における先端側の高剛性部位との間に介在させた当該高剛性部位よりも剛性の低い低剛性部位であることを特徴とした請求項1,2又は3に記載の圧着端子。
- 前記圧着加工の実施前に前記電線接続部の前記内壁面における少なくとも前記溝部に重ねて貼付され、前記圧着加工の際に前記溝部に充填された状態で残存し、前記圧着加工の完了後に前記電線接続部の内方への水の浸入を抑える止水部材を設けることを特徴とした請求項1,2,3又は4に記載の圧着端子。
