Claims (7)
- 端部にて芯線を露出させた電線と、
相手側端子に対して電気的に接続される端子接続部、内壁面側に載置された前記電線の端部に対して第1金型と第2金型とに挟まれた圧着加工によって電気的に接続される電線接続部、及び、前記端子接続部と前記電線接続部とを連結させる連結部を有し、前記電線接続部が、前記圧着加工の際に前記電線の端部が載置される底部、前記底部の一端から延在させ、前記電線の端部に巻き付ける内側の第1バレル片部、及び、前記底部の他端から前記第1バレル片部よりも長く延在させ、前記電線の端部と前記第1バレル片部に巻き付ける外側の第2バレル片部に区画された端子金具と、
前記圧着加工の実施前に前記電線接続部の前記内壁面に貼付され、前記圧着加工の完了後に前記電線接続部と前記電線の先端の芯線との間への水の浸入を抑える止水部材と、
を備え、
前記止水部材は、前記第2バレル片部の前記内壁面に貼付される止水部を有し、
前記電線接続部は、前記圧着加工の実施前に、前記底部の両端から前記第1バレル片部と前記第2バレル片部とを立設させたU字状に形成し、
U字状の前記電線接続部における前記第1バレル片部は、その延在方向における先端を前記第2バレル片部側に折り曲げて、下降してきた前記第2金型における前記第1バレル片部との摺接面と当該第1バレル片部の前記先端との間に隙間を設け、
前記第1バレル片部の前記先端の外壁面側には、前記底部側から前記第1バレル片部の前記先端の端面側に向かうにつれて前記第1バレル片部の前記先端の板厚を薄くするテーパ面を設け、
前記圧着加工の完了後の前記第1バレル片部の外壁面と前記第2バレル片部の前記内壁面とが対向して重なり合っている領域では、前記第1バレル片部の前記外壁面に当接させる当接部を前記第2バレル片部の先端に設け、かつ、前記第1バレル片部の前記外壁面における前記テーパ面から前記当接部との接触面に至るまでの領域と前記第2バレル片部の前記内壁面における前記当接部よりも前記底部側とにより形成された空間に前記止水部を充填させていることを特徴とした端子付き電線。 - 前記第1バレル片部は、前記隙間が少なくとも前記第2バレル片部の延在方向における先端の板厚よりも大きくなるように当該第1バレル片部の前記先端を折り曲げることを特徴とした請求項1に記載の端子付き電線。
- 前記第2バレル片部の前記先端にまで前記止水部材が貼付されている場合、前記第1バレル片部は、前記隙間が少なくとも前記第2バレル片部の前記先端の板厚と前記止水部材の板厚の和よりも大きくなるように当該第1バレル片部の前記先端を折り曲げることを特徴とした請求項1に記載の端子付き電線。
- 前記第2バレル片部の前記内壁面は、前記圧着加工の完了後における前記第1バレル片部の外壁面と重なる領域に、貼付された前記止水部材の一部が充填される第1溝部を有し、
前記第1溝部の内部の前記止水部材は、前記圧着加工の完了後に、前記電線接続部と前記電線の先端の芯線との間への水の浸入を抑える止水領域を形成することを特徴とした請求項1,2又は3に記載の端子付き電線。 - 前記止水部材は、前記圧着加工の完了後の前記第1バレル片部の前記先端の前記外壁面を前記第2バレル片部の前記内壁面の前記止水部材で覆うことができるように、前記第2バレル片部の前記内壁面に対する貼付領域を設定することを特徴とした請求項1から4の内の何れか1つに記載の端子付き電線。
- 圧着端子を電線との圧着位置まで供給する端子供給装置と、
前記圧着位置まで供給された前記圧着端子を第1金型及び第2金型で前記電線の端部に圧着させる圧着装置と、
圧着加工の際に前記第1金型と前記第2金型との間を狭め、前記圧着加工の完了後に前記第1金型と前記第2金型との間を広げる駆動装置と、
を備え、
前記圧着端子は、
相手側端子に対して電気的に接続される端子接続部、内壁面側に載置された前記電線の端部に対して前記圧着加工によって電気的に接続される電線接続部、及び、前記端子接続部と前記電線接続部とを連結させる連結部を有し、前記電線接続部が、前記圧着加工の際に前記電線の端部が載置される底部、前記底部の一端から延在させ、前記電線の端部に巻き付ける内側の第1バレル片部、及び、前記底部の他端から前記第1バレル片部よりも長く延在させ、前記電線の端部と前記第1バレル片部に巻き付ける外側の第2バレル片部に区画された端子金具と、
前記圧着加工の実施前に前記電線接続部の前記内壁面に貼付され、前記圧着加工の完了後に前記電線接続部と前記電線の先端の芯線との間への水の浸入を抑える止水部材と、
を有し、
前記第1金型と前記第2金型は、前記底部の両端から前記第1バレル片部と前記第2バレル片部とを立設させたU字状の前記電線接続部、及び、前記底部と前記第1バレル片部と前記第2バレル片部とで囲まれた前記電線の端部を挟み込むことによって、前記電線接続部に前記電線の端部を圧着させる下型と上型であり、
前記第1金型は、前記底部が載置される下方に向けて凹ませた凹状面を有し、
前記第2金型は、前記凹状面に対向させて配置され、前記第1金型に向けた下降時に前記第1バレル片部と前記第2バレル片部とに各々摺接しながら圧を加えて当該第1バレル片部と当該第2バレル片部を前記電線の端部に圧着させる第1壁面と第2壁面とが形成された凹状部を有し、
前記第1壁面と前記第2壁面は、それぞれに、前記第2金型の移動方向に沿う垂設面と、該垂設面に連接され、該垂設面に沿って摺動してきた前記第1バレル片部と前記第2バレル片部を前記電線の端部側に巻き込んでいく弧状面と、を有し、
前記凹状部は、前記圧着加工の際に、前記第1バレル片部の前記第1壁面における前記垂設面から前記弧状面に移るタイミングを前記第2バレル片部の前記第2壁面側から前記第1壁面の前記弧状面に移るタイミングよりも早くし、前記第1バレル片部を前記第2バレル片部よりも早く前記第1壁面の前記弧状面に到達させて前記第1バレル片部の延在方向における先端を前記第1壁面から離れさせ、前記第2バレル片部の延在方向における先端が前記第1バレル片部と前記第1壁面との間に入り込むことができるように、前記第1壁面の前記弧状面の曲率半径を前記第2壁面の前記弧状面の曲率半径よりも大きくすることを特徴とした端子圧着装置。 - 前記圧着端子のU字状の前記電線接続部における前記第1バレル片部は、その延在方向における前記先端を前記第2バレル片部側に折り曲げて、下降してきた前記第2金型における前記第1壁面の前記垂設面と前記第1バレル片部の前記先端との間に隙間を設けるものであることを特徴とした請求項6に記載の端子圧着装置。
