Abstract
【解決手段】端子金具2の電線接続部4は、電線Wの先端部を覆って加締めにより電線Wと圧着されるバレル片41と、バレル片41の内面に形成されて電線Wの芯線W1と接続されるセレーション部42と、バレル片41の内面に設けられて電線Wとの隙間を塞ぐ止水部44と、を備え、バレル片41は、加締められることで平坦面45を有した断面角筒状に形成されているので、その角部と電線Wとの間に位置する止水部44の断面積を大きくすることができ、止水部44の容積拡大による止水性能の向上を図ることができる。

Description
また、前記実施形態では、止水部44の形成方法として、止水材貼付装置M1を用いて止水シート44Aを貼付する方法を例示したが、これに限らず、塗布ヘッドを用いて液状の止水材をバレル片41の内面に塗布してもよいし、先端に止水材を浸した筆状の塗布具を用いて塗布してもよいし、セレーション部42をマスキングした状態のバレル片41を液状の止水材に浸漬して塗布してもよい。
また、バレル片41の内面における止水部44の形成範囲は、セレーション部42を除き、バレル片41の内面全てでもよいし、バレル片41の前方側又は後方側のいずれがのみでもよく、適宜に設定することができる。

Claims (2)
- 前方からの相手方端子と接続される電気接触部と、該電気接触部よりも後方側にて電線と接続される電線接続部と、を備えた端子金具であって、
前記電線接続部は、前記電線の先端部を覆って加締めにより該電線と圧着されるバレル片と、前記バレル片の内面に形成されて前記電線の芯線と接続されるセレーション部と、前記バレル片の内面に設けられて前記電線との隙間を塞ぐ止水部と、を備え、
前記バレル片は、加締められることで平坦面を有した断面角筒状に形成されていることを特徴とする端子金具。 - 請求項1に記載の端子金具を電線に圧着して端子付き電線を製造するための製造方法であって、
前記バレル片の内面に前記止水部を形成し、
直線部を有した金型を用いて前記バレル片を加締めることで、該バレル片を平坦面を有した角筒状に変形させて前記電線の先端部を覆うとともに、前記止水部を前記電線に密着させることを特徴とする端子付き電線の製造方法。
