Abstract
Description
(a)発泡剤を含むポリマー溶融物を、150℃と280℃の間の温度に制御された有孔ディスクを通してペレット化チャンバへと押出すステップと、
(b)温度制御された有孔ディスクを通して押出したポリマー溶融物を切断装置を用いて細断して、個々の膨張性ペレットにするステップと、
(c)液体流を用いてペレット化チャンバからペレットを排出するステップと
を含み、発泡剤がCO2もしくはN2またはCO2とN2の組合せを含み、発泡剤を含むポリマー溶融物中の発泡剤の量が0.5〜2.5wt%の範囲にあり、5℃と90℃の間の温度に制御されかつ圧力が周囲圧力よりも0.1バール〜20バール高い液体流がペレット化チャンバを横断し、ペレット化チャンバ内の液体の圧力および温度と有孔ディスクの温度とが、加圧液体中でペレットが含有する発泡剤によってペレットが膨張して連続表皮を有する膨張ペレットとなるように選択される、方法によって達成される。

- DIN EN 150 527−2に準拠して測定した破断点伸びが100%を超える熱可塑性エラストマーから膨張ペレットを製造する方法であって、
(a)発泡剤を含むポリマー溶融物を、150℃と280℃の間の温度に制御された有孔ディスク(18)を通してペレット化チャンバ(26)へと押出すステップと、
(b)有孔ディスク(18)を通して押出したポリマー溶融物を切断装置(20)を用いて細断して、個々の膨張性ペレットにするステップと、
(c)液体流(36)を用いてペレット化チャンバ(26)からペレットを排出するステップと

- DIN EN 150 527−2に準拠して測定した熱可塑性エラストマーの破断点伸びが200%を超える、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- DIN 53505に準拠して測定したペレットのポリマーのショア硬さがA65〜A99の範囲である、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ペレット化チャンバ(26)内の液体の温度が、ペレットが連続表皮を生成しない制御されていない膨張を起こす場合には低下され、ペレットの膨張が起こらないまたは不十分な場合には上昇される、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 有孔ディスク(18)の温度が、ペレットが連続表皮を生成しない制御されていない膨張を起こす場合には低下され、ペレットの膨張が起こらないまたは不十分な場合には上昇される、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 発泡剤を含むポリマー溶融物が成核剤を含む、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 成核剤が、0.01μmと100μmの間のサイズを有し、タルク、フッ化カルシウム、フェニルホスフィン酸ナトリウム、酸化アルミニウム、カーボンブラック、グラファイト、顔料、微粉ポリテトラフルオロエチレンまたはこれらの混合物から選択される、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 発泡剤が共発泡剤を含み、共発泡剤がアルカン、アルコール、ハロゲン化炭化水素またはこれらの混合物から選択される、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ペレット化チャンバ内の圧力および温度が、膨張ペレットのかさ密度が250g/l以下となるように選択される、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
