Description
以下の表1に示された実施例A及びBは、コンピュータモデルから得られた、本発明によるバルクガラス組成物である。表1に記載された歪点及び熱膨張係数(CTE)値も、コンピュータモデルから得られた。従って、実施例A及びBはガラス溶融物からは調製されたものではない。
実施例1
1 砂は、米国のシリカ社(Silica Co.)からの市販品であり、それには、主成分はSiO2であり、砂鉄は少ないと記載されていた。
2 ソーダ灰は、FMC社(FMC Corp.)からの市販品であり、表示によると、密度等級260、主成分はNa2CO3であった。
3 石灰石は、Carmeuse Groupからの市販品であり、表示によると、MS0−2、主成分はCaCO3であった。
4 ソルトケーキは、Saltex LLCからの市販品であり、それには、無水ガラス等級であり、主成分はNa2SO4であると記載されていた。
5 アルミナ水和物は、Alcoaからの市販品であり、表示によると、C−30、主成分はAl(OH)3であった。
6 Li2CO3は、Chemetall Foote Corp.からの市販品であり、それには、技術的な等級(technical grade)と記載されていた。

- Al2O3が4.5〜9.5重量%の量で存在し、Na2Oが7.5〜9.5重量%の量で存在し、及びCaOが17〜19重量%の量で存在する、請求項1記載のガラス組成物。
- Al2O3対Na2Oの重量比が0.5〜1.0である、請求項1記載のガラス組成物。
- Al2O3対CaOの重量比が0.2〜0.5である、請求項1記載のガラス組成物。
- Na2O対CaOの重量比が0.4〜0.5である、請求項1記載のガラス組成物。
- Al2O3対Na2Oの重量比が0.5〜1.0であり、Al2O3対CaOの重量比が0.2〜0.5であり、及びNa2O対CaOの重量比が0.4〜0.5である、請求項1記載のガラス組成物。
- 請求項1記載のガラス組成物から調製されるガラス生成物であって、前記ガラス生成物が少なくとも590℃の歪点を有する、ガラス生成物。
- 前記ガラス生成物が少なくとも7.4ppm/℃の熱膨張係数を有する、請求項14記載のガラス生成物。
- バルクガラス組成物の全重量に対して、
SiO2を57〜75重量%、
Al2O3を3〜11重量%、
Na2Oを6〜11重量%、
CaOを16〜21重量%、
Li2Oを0.01〜0.1重量%、及び
K2Oを0.05重量%未満、
含むバルクガラス組成物を有するガラス生成物。 - 前記ガラス生成物が板ガラス生成物である、請求項16記載のガラス生成物。
- ガラス基板を含む磁気記録物品であって、前記ガラス基板が、バルクガラス組成物の全重量に対して、
SiO2を57〜75重量%、
Al2O3を3〜11重量%、
Na2Oを6〜11重量%、
CaOを16〜21重量%、
Li2Oを0.01〜0.1重量%、及び
K2Oを0.05重量%未満、
含むバルクガラス組成物を有するものである前記磁気記録物品。 - ガラス基板と前記ガラス基板を覆う少なくとも1層の半導体層とを含む光起電力セルであって、前記ガラス基板が、バルクガラス組成物の全重量に対して、
SiO2を57〜75重量%、
Al2O3を3〜11重量%、
Na2Oを6〜11重量%、
CaOを16〜21重量%、
Li2Oを0.01〜0.1重量%、及び
K2Oを0.05重量%未満、
含むバルクガラス組成物を有するものである前記光起電力セル。 - 少なくとも1層の半導体層が、カドミウム及びテルル化物のうち少なくとも1種を含む、請求項19記載の光起電力セル。
